We were very impressed with Mike and his crew. Their quickness to respond, professionalism and positive attitude were a great help to us as we dealt with this situation. Mike was also very quick to resolve an unexpected billing situation that developed during the drying out process. We couldn't have asked for any better outcome.

His e-mails were detailed, quoted prices, and answered everything we were looking for.

Certified Water and Mold did an outstanding job for us--more than outstanding. We were in crisis, needing to bring an ill family member to our home, when we discovered extensive mold in our house. We could not bring the family member home with mold. Kent and Mike were there for us immediately. I have never seen a crew as efficient and competent, nor as pleasant to work with. In the two weeks they worked in our home, we continued to be impressed with how professional and kind they were. Mike and Kent were at our home at least daily; it seemed there was nothing they couldn't do. They problem-solved, even when we hadn't realized we had problems. The entire crew continued to be concerned for us, and asked what they could do to make everything easier for us. We felt we had friends in our home!

We called CWM because they were exactly who we needed. There were some very sensitive items that were damaged, and the utmost care was given to the ones that could be saved, and thorough, sensitive explanations given to my parents about those that could not be salvaged. THE CRAZY THING ABOUT THIS CONTRACTOR IS THAT THEY REALLY DO CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS! I will not even talk to any other contractors if the job is something CWM does. I would particularly recommend them to females and seniors. I'm sure they are also great with men, but I KNOW they are great with women and older people. VERY understanding and patient.

The inspection was thorough and the serviceman was very knowledgeable.

I cannot express our respect, gratitude and appreciation for not only the hard work that was done but for the support that Kent and Mike have given us throughout this process. My sister and I bought this house 10 years ago when our mother was wheelchair bound. Our thought was that it would provide easy access and greater independence when she was visiting us. Since our mother passed away, we seldom utilized the downstairs except for storage and laundry facilities. We became aware in the end of September that we had a mold problem. We are both getting older (54 & 61) and were unaware of were we should even begin. I signed up with Angie's List and started looking for help. I called several companies on the list but was uneasy until I talked with Mike from Certified Water & Mold. We were both very comfortable with Mike and Kent. They demonstrated respect, courtesy and humor in communicating with us. They were good for their word. They showed up on time and did their job. They supported us when issues arose and made recommendations to help when needed. When problems arose with the contractor's schedule they stepped up and helped us to get our bathroom done and us back into our house. Who does that? God we were so lucky to meet these guys! We are still in the reconstruction phase of our basement but we are so glad to be home and in a mold free house. We are breathing easier now. Thank you!

They were excellent overall! Every single baseboard they removed, they labeled so we knew exactly where to place them. The flood started on Saturday, and they showed up on Sunday afternoon, working until 10:30 at night. They then came back on Labor Day to continue working. They checked back for four days afterwards; every single day they came out to check the progress until they were satisfied. It was expensive, but well worth it.

They were punctual, did great work, had a very reasonable price for the amount of work, and did a great follow up. I would definitely recommend them to others.

They did an incredible job. Nothing was left undone and I never had to worry about any details...they took care of it all. If we would ever have problems again...which I hope we don't.....I would absolutely call him!

Awesome!!! We hired another A rated company that had a couple of really bad reviews that we thought were just flukes. Let me tell you, if they have an F, there is a reason! Our biggest mistake was going with the other company because they were a couple hundred dollars cheaper, and we paid for it in the end. Another clue is that if the bid looks unprofessional, the work and attention to detail will be the same. Mike and Kent were not only professional, but truly cared about our situation. They even sent a thank you card and gift after the job, and our insurance agent loved being involved in the process. I have dealt with many contractors, and it is rare to find caring, honest, and educated guys in that industry. I would recommend them to my mother, and there motto should be Cleaning Up Other People's Messes! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

Very professional. Worked all night the first day to get water out of building. Had the necessary equipment to do the job.

My business with Certified Water and Mold was overall very pleasant. Initially Kent came out to do the air quality test. The purpose of the test was to see if and how bad of a mold problem existed. The test was completed on a Saturday and I had the results from the lab emailed to me that following Tuesday. Since the air test indicated a problem I contacted numerous mold remediation companies and ended up using a different one for the cleanup. After the project was completed Mike Martin with Certified Water and Mold came out to do the final inspection and found that the other mold remediation company had done a poor job removing mold leaving behind numerous untouched areas. I had the other remediation company out again to go over their work again and after 2hrs they left. Immediately after Mike and Kent came back to do another clearance inspection. They pointed out areas that again were untouched and still had visible mold. Without me requesting they sealed up my basement, and finished the work themselves. After about 2hrs they opened it up and had me come down to show me what a job done right looked like. I was very impressed with their willingness to help me get the project completed even after having a competing company initially called to do the work. I was not charged to have the touch up work done, they were more concerned about getting all of the remaining mold cleaned up properly. Because of this I was compelled to share my story here on Angie's List. I highly recommend Certified Water and Mold. Because I left a review for Certified it is only fair that I leave a review for the other company as well.

The pipe broke while I was away. I would estimate water ran for 5 or so hours. I came home to a puddle in the kitchen (and lots of steam). Once I went downstairs, all the ceiling drywall was drooping down a good foot or so. The carpet in the basement was under half an inch of water. That night, I worked to get all the carpet and carpet padding out myself. The next day, I realized how bad the leak was behind the walls, so I started looking for professional help. Mike and the team showed up in under 90 minutes ready to work. Keep in mind it was a Sunday and power was out at my house due to a storm. They stayed that entire day into the evening to get everything listed above pulled out so the house could dry. They set up fans and dehumidifiers to dry it out. They were good about setting up times each day that week to show up and check on the house. They worked with my schedule and were there when they said they would be. This work was paid for by an insurance claim, so I can't really speculate on price.

As stated above, i have absolutely no complaints - great work and service

I was not happy with them. I feel they were trying to take advantage of my situation. I think they charged me for things that really didn’t need to be done. They didn’t even write an estimate. They came and looked at things. They were waiting for me to get appraisal from my insurance company. They were very nicely dressed and very professional. They had all sorts of fancy gizmos. There were two of them. They were very professional and caring. Their equipment was doing a lot of beeping and buzzing. There was very little follow up from them when I got the insurance appraisal. They were still to do the follow up with them and never really did that. I would never use them in the future.

We came home to a flooded basement from a broken pipe. WHile the pipe was being repaired, our neighbor gave us the number for this company. He was familiar with the owners, and highly recommended them. Less than 1 hour after our call, they arrived, and were gone in less than 4 hours. They arrived at the scheduled time for equipment monitoring on each of the following 3 days and then removed their equipment.

Everything went just as they explained the process would go. No suprises.
