The service technician did a great job. He got here quickly. Our last sump pump failed and the basement flooded. Our recovery team needed the sump pump working so they could get going. He did a great job.

Called after hours. Tech gave me after hours price and tried to schedule normal hours service. I appreciated the recommendation, but needed the service at that time. Tech went out corrected the problem and told me the issues with the water heater. Gave me good money saving recommendations. I appreciated his honest and hard work.

Scott, our tech was very personable and professional. thanks to him we found out our unit was not installed properly and is working with us and our building management to get the issue corrected.

They communicate well, explain all work, and appear to do a very high-quality job. They were not the cheapest, but I think they were a good value given the quality of services.

We've had excellent service (preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, etc.) at our commercial property done by Sam Jackson and another couple other guys (I think one was Kelly). Sam told us we could get a discount on residential because we have a commercial account, so when our A/C broke down (a 25 year-old Kenmore), we called LB A. Keith came out and talked through all the options (there are a few) from basic to high end efficiency. 2 days later, Bo and Chris dropped in a new system and they did an impeccable job, even straightening up a funky gas line, replacing some sketchy ventilation over the water heater, putting the outside unit up high enough on a pad so we can regrade around it without dirt washing into it. LBA pulled a permit from Overland Park and when the city inspected it, there were no problems. 4 days after install LBA sent another guy out to do a quality check on the system. Checked for gas leaks, care of installation, etc. They clearly want it done right and they did it right. In the past, I have always purchased the highest efficiency system available. This time, with a kid in college, I was a little more budget conscious. This a mid-range Lennox system with some upgraded features, not the least of which is a thermostat i can control from my phone or any computer. On a cold morning, that is one sweet feature when you can grab the phone from your nightstand and turn up the heat before you get up. I dreaded spending the money, but this system actually makes the air seem fresher in our house. That may sound like BS, but I think this unit (3 ton, same as the old one) pushes a lot more air around, much more quietly, and it really feels like we're breathing fresher air. Way quieter on the outside, we can barely hear this unit from our patio. I've used some other good companies in town, but there is something about the people in the LBA organization. They just seem to have an attitude that's a cut above the others (who have mostly been very good as well). Shout out to Carolyn in the LBA office for all the heads-up phone calls keeping us up to speed on when service guys were coming.

Excellent service. They were able to fit me in the schedule on Monday morning after a weekend. They called first thing Monday. Called when they knew a guy (Jon) could make it out. Jon made it out, triaged, and fixed in a half an hour. He was great. He explained the issue and how to prevent or lookout to triage in the future. Thanks. I live on the edge of most service areas. so service fees are standard for this area. Others try to raise that fee to discourage being used. LBA was happy to help.

Jim came out to the house to replace a old broken boiler and piping. I told him that price was a major consideration in making my buying decision. LBA's price was $11000.00 less than the highest bid and $2400 less than the next closest bid. All bids were done by highly rated Angie's list companies. After a 12 hour install, we had to call LBA back because some of our radiators were not heating up properly. They came back and did another 6 hours of work and pipe replacement to correct the issue and did not ask for any extra monies. They were professional and prompt. They did not try to hammer me knowing I needed to make a buying decision unlike others. I would recommend.

The first 2 furnaces they checked they had turned them off in the properties we owned. I was worried about them doing that. In the third and fourth properties he had to repair some piping. I contacted another technician for a second opinion and he found nothing wrong with the furnaces. I feel like LBA was just trying to sell me unnecessary services and they were not honest. Their pricing was high but they did an okay job.

I use them all the time. I have a service agreement with them. They come out when they call. They came out and did this service this Fall, that was when my contract ended so I renewed it and bought it for two more years. All they do is they come out or they'll send me an email to let me know that it's time to schedule, so I schedule it and they come out. They're just professional and very good people and again. It's an individual company that's owned by an individual person in Kansas. I wouldn't have anybody else service my AC. If I have plumbing to do, they can do it.

I had LBA out to service our 15 year old AC system, which had shown some problems the previous summer. When the technician examined it, he found it was pulling almost double the amount of current it should be and had blown the capacitor as a result. The fan motor was also showing signs of leaking oil, so it would have cost nearly $1000 to repair. Instead, I asked if they could install an entirely new system - the same day. I'd been expecting to have to do this eventually, but had not planned for it that day. To my surprise, LBA was able to tear out my old system and install a brand new one, all in one day, without a prior appointment - in the rain! It took 6 guys to get everything done, but they did a nice job and were very professional and competent during the process. It's only been a month since we had it installed, but it's been working fine so far, and they give you a year of free service appointments with the purchase. It probably was not the cheapest possible contractor, but I thought they did a nice job and was very pleased that I did not have to take another day off from work to get it done.

He worked hard to get this resolved. He fixed it, came back later at no charge to fix a small leak. I was surprised and very pleased.

They are amazing. The price included the unit and the installation. They took out the old one and took it away. They were the best. The price was reasonable for what we got.

Service was provided on Saturday in the aftermath of the Artic Vortex freeze that created all kinds of frozen pipe problems in Kansas City. I tried many other plumbers only to find out they were handling only existing customers and I would have to wait for an extended period before service could be scheduled. The existing shutoff valve was leaking and very close to failing structurally so I had the water service to the house shut off at the meter to avoid a flood. I travel for work and am not readily available for service calls or waiting for service at the house. LBA was able to schedule a service call within a day. The scheduler was quick to realize my time restraints and adjusted to satisfy my needs. The technician arrived exactly on time and service was conducted professionally. The water was turned on at the meter by LBA and a leak check was accomplished. Excellent service. I will use LBA for other services in the future.

Jesse from LBA came out on 5/11 to do a tune up on our A/C. He stated that after he washed the coils on our unit, the pressure on our A/C dropped and was critically low on R-22 refrigerant, at least 10lbs at $70 a lb so we were looking at around $700. He told us that if we did not refill the A/C, it would freeze up and turn into a block of ice the upcoming Tuesday because it was going to be very hot. He basically told us we had to replace the A/C because it was so old and we needed to replace it ASAP or our A/C would go out. He told us we needed to buy the $5000 A/C unit or more expensive. My husband came to me and I said no way, we needed a second opinion because it had been working fine. We told Jesse that we would think about it. On Monday, Jesse calls my husband again telling him how important it is that we do something ASAP because tomorrow is going to be hot and our A/C unit will freeze up. My husband tells him no. He again calls later in the week saying the same thing. In the meantime, I had two other A/C companies out. Both said our A/C unit was a little low on refrigerant but not very low and that the unit was fine, just old. We had one of the other companies put 2lbs of R-22 in, spent about $150 and our A/C has been fine since. I will never use LBA again and am going to try to get the rest of the service agreement money back.

The workers who installed the furnace were punctual and professional. The crew of 2-3 completed the work in one day. Cleaned the work area after installation. Answered all questions on new furnace and thermostat. Advised that a service man would check on work within a week to be sure all was working well.

The technician arrived arrived on time and ready to go. He reviewed the furnace and showed us several items that would need to be addressed. He seemed very knowledgable about what he was talking about. Very professional and respectful of our home.

As usual service was top notch. Mike, the technician, took time to explain the details of the service. The service was completed in a timely fashion. These people know what they are doing.

They are really good. I just think they are too expensive for their plumbing charges.

The LBA technician showed up right on time. He was very respectful of my home (wore botties inside the house,etc.). He had a real challenge on his hands due to the need to update the ductwork now required that was not required when the house was built. He installed the water heater, took away the old one and cleaned up the work area. He also made sure the fence eas closed so our dogs wouldn't get out when he left! Overall, it went well!

First, let me say the price was coupon through Groupon so it was very very reasonable. The whole process was smooth from start to finish. Everyone i spoke with were nice, polite and very helpful. They are a trustworthy company. All their techs are highly trained and experienced.

The job went very well. The technician was friendly and knowledgeable.

We purchased a new heater and AC from LBA. They were very professional, prompt, and responsive to all our questions. They explained all the options and tax credits available for new units, and helped us select a model that was appropriate for the size of our house (rather than spend more on a larger model we didn't need). I would highly recommend using them for any HVAC needs in the Kansas City area.

Our a/c decided to quit when it was in the mid to upper 90's. We called LBA Air Conditioning, Heating, & Plumbing thinking they were a big company in the area, so they must be pretty good. The service man showed up at 4:00 (they said between 1-4). He looked around at everything after making small talk and trying to kiss up (lack of better words). He had a story for everything that occured while he was here. Even with my kids, our dog, everything. The bottom line was we needed a new board for our fan, new coils, and actually a new a/c unit. It wasn't worth replacing the coils and it was not a good a/c unit in general (the a/c unit is not big enough for our house and is builders grade - I will give him that). Board - $800.00 Coils - $1850.00 New 3 ton a/c- $ 4300.00 + board ( he did say he would cut us a deal) I told him to leave everything alone and I'll just pay the service call. Long story short... we called Custer Heating and Air. Board - $175.00 Coils - He wouldn't replace because it isn't worth it. They are fine for now. a/c 3 ton - $2000.00 but it wouldn't do any good. 3 ton now does not cool the house so new 3 ton wouldn't either. 3 1/2 ton with new furnace and fan (ours won't handle 3 ton both repair people said) $4000.00. Both a/c units are Lennox so it is apples to apples. Talk about ripping someone off.
