LBA offered a checkup noting they had a cancellation in the area and we had not scheduled our checkup this year. This unscheduled visit turned into.......wait for it..............wait.................... me replacing my 12 year old furnace for $$$$. They were respectful and I am sure there were some legitimate issues, but the manner in which this was handled was simply a high pressure scare tactic sales pitch. The 'supervisor' was called in before the tech even started inspecting inside the unit. They noted several issues with 'insert brand here' furnace having design flaws and kept spouting a lot of numbers about static pressure to keep me on my back foot. When it came down to it they noted it was the work of a shoddy home builder, the furnace brand (which nothing runs like...), and that there are no new construction inspections for HVAC in residential construction. They 'red tagged' the furnace and shut the gas off and let us kindly know that we had a few months to figure out if we wanted to pay $12K or $14K before it starts getting cold. Oddly enough they priced a fix to the static pressure issue of $3K that would not address the 'safety issue' of the furnace.

Last week our kitchen sink was clogged. LBA sent a plumber out and they tried to use their auger to clear the clog, but they could not get it cleared. The plumber told us they would need to come out a couple days later and use the jetter to clear the clog. The plumber said it would fix the problem and that it would be $765. We desperately needed our sink fixed and figured since we were part of the LBA rewards program that it was going to be the best deal. The LBA plumber came back out three days later and used the jetter on our sink drain. After two hours, he said that he did his best but it would take too long with the jetter to get the drain cleared. The plumber suggested we would need to cut a hole in our basement ceiling and replace the pipe which would cost $1800 (plus however much it cost to fix the ceiling). We still had to pay LBA the full $765 for the jetter even though they had not cleared our drain. After the plumber left, we noticed that he left deep scratches all over our hardwood floors around the kitchen sink. We called LBAs office to complain, and they said they did their best, the $765 charge was for "the attempt," not actually for clearing the drain, and that the scratches in the hardwood couldn't be from the plumber because he had a blanket down. Later that afternoon, we discovered that the sink was now dripping water into the cabinet below. We finally called another company who came out right away. This company said that the LBA plumber who worked on the drain before had left out a washer when he put the sink back together and that's what was causing the leak. This other company also cleared the clog in our sink in under an hour for less than $200. No jetter or pipe replacements needed. We can not help but feel like LBA scammed us. After being loyal customers for years, we will not be using them going forward and advising everyone we know to do the same.

Nick was promt professional and very through. He took great efforts to ensure I fully understand the scope of the project the estimated time of repair and the cost. He is the first person I will call on any future plumbing needs.

I contacted LBA for a Leak Cause Diagnostic inspection .It was scheduled on Thursday, end of Day they contacted me said they couldn't come until next day..That was Ok ...I was quoted that a $120 Charge/Fee was to be made to conduct the The Service and then once the Leak was found a determination of what the cost would be to be repair..As soon as the Technician arrived I was informed the Fee to conduct the Diagnostic Inspection was $250 (More than Double than what I was Quoted when scheduled)..The Technician cut 3 Holes (12" x 15") in my Garage Ceiling Drywall...After 45 Minutes NO LEAK was detected..I was out $250 and left with 3 Holes in My Garage Ceiling that I now have to Pay someone else to Repair!..I WAS LIED TO ABOUT THE ORIGINAL QUOTE! Will Never Use Again or Recommend! That's Not How You Do Business!! F-

I replaced my 90 year old hot water boiler with a new 95% efficient one. Not too many contractors have the experience anymore to do this type of work because most people with old boilers have the radiators and boilers removed when they stop working and replace them with forced air furnaces. I already have forced air, but wanted to keep the radiators. They are quiet, heat evenly and are are basically better than forced air. I got a couple bids, but price was not the most important thing I was looking for. I was looking for a company who not only knew how to install a new one correctly, but also had experienced people on their staff to service it in the future. Everyone, from the sales guy to the final "clean-up" guys were top notch. They even had a representative from the manufacturer of the boiler come in and help advise during the installation process (to make sure everything was done according to spec). Before I used them, I had seen their trucks around, but now that I have had such a positive experience with LBA, I will always think highly of them everytime one of their trucks passes me by.

I highly recommend them. I've been with them for several years. I had them replace my A/C once and put in a high efficiency furnace for me. Whenever I do call them and set up a time and date. they are always here at that time. They know what they are doing.

They were supposed to come earlier but there were a lot of air conditioners out because we had a really hot spell. Take care of those people before you do me. At the time there was no charge. They do Spring and Fall, and I had paid for the contract in the Fall. I used them for a long time and then I had somebody else install my air conditioner years ago and there was something that they did wrong and so I had to have a lot of repairs on it, so I went back to LBA.

Excellent. They are very good and we have been using them for probably 17 years. They installed central A/C and our Mitsubishi wall unit 2 years ago. and our boiler about 12 years ago. They are one of the few companies who will work on boilers. They offer a package deal for maintenance from purchasing the units from them.

They worked on the issue and were able to find the least expensive solution.

We like them. They took an appropriate amount of time and they left the area clean.

It took them about three days from the time we placed the order to the time they installed it. There were three people that came out and they left the area clean.

I really like LBA. They should do nothing to their better service. I will absolutely use them again.

We had a drain in the basement that was always gross. I had another company come out just to look. The new company fixed the issue and its never clogged up. I haven't used LBA since. The cost is very pricey.

We have been using them for almost 35 years. We have a maintenance agreement with them. The price includes special new filter for the furnace.

The service representative was professional, he completed the job I asked him to do. He proposed some spendy options including replacing the dirty coil and UV light systems. These proposals were over $1000 and he mentioned replacing the whole cooling system which I quickly denied as it works fine. I MAY use them again, I will make sure to ask the TRIP Charge over the phone when I'm calling around next time. It took about 2 hours, (30 minutes in the truck writing up proposals/bill) I consider $200/hour very expensive.

We have used LBA at least 4x and they are always punctual and professional. He did a great job of fixing the plumbing and we are very happy with it. I would recommend this company, definitely to anyone.
