Description of Work: Hull Lamar could not repair my washer because it was older than machines they work on, so they referred me to a different company that repairs older machines. We contacted them and were able to use their services. I thought it was great that Hull Lamar would refer me to someone else who could help us.

Description of Work: I had a leak in my whirlpool washing machine. The serviceman Dave arrived promptly and quickly diagnosed the source of the problem. In addition i had an ongoing issue with the performance of the machine. He was able to identify the source as a defective valve which he was able to repair. Instead of replacing the machine i now hope to get many more years of service.

Description of Work: No response to my inquiry. I guess they weren't interested.

Description of Work: Was trying to replace oven heating element by myself. One of the wires was buried back in the insulation. Repairman was abe to get it quickly and replaced the burnt out light bulb too!

Description of Work: Mr. Hull came within an hour of being called. He diagnosed and repaired the washing machine and looked over my dryer, too. He gave me some tips about using the washer. He was very nice and I'm very pleased with his work and I will call him again for any other problems with my appliances

Description of Work: This isn't really a negative but users might want to know Hull Lamar does not work on GE or Frigidaire appliances. They did recommend Appliance Doctor who I hired and was very satisfied with.

Description of Work: I called to seek a service call on my washing machine which was leaving dark marks on my cloths. Paul gave me suggestions saying the year my front load came out they ended up having problems with soap mold. He told me to go to Lowe's and get a product that would solve my problem. I called him a second time and he gave me additional ideas as to why I might be having a recurring problem. I was so impressed by his honest answers over the phone which brought him no immediate financial gain. When I do need a service person to fix my machine his will be the first and only company I call. And by the way he helpd me resolve my problem.

Description of Work: My ice maker stopped working on my 3 year old Whirlpool refrigerator. It needed a new motor. Replaced the whole part. Charged $85 for labor and house call. $200 for the part. Ouch. When I called other places, they were comparable. They showed up the same day I called. I was glad to have the problem fixed that day. Very nice. Very professional.

Description of Work: ON A SUNDAY, OUR MAIN ELECTRIC OVEN AND BROILER WOULD NOT HEAT. I LEFT A MESSAGE ON THE ANSWERING MACHINE AT HULL LAMAR SUNDAY EVENING. HULL LAMAR RESPONDED PROMPTLY MONDAY AND CAME LATE MONDAY MORNING TO DO THE REPAIR. TECHNICIAN CHECKED OPERATION AND LO AND BEHOLD, BOTH OVEN AND BROILER WERE WORKING. MYSTERY! NO WORK WAS PERFORMED. SERVICE CALL CHARGE WAS REASONABLE.
