Description of Work: Top Notch Heating, Cooling & Plumbing was indeed top notich, especially in the category that matters the most and is hard to find....honesty. Upon arrival at my home the technician asked how old my home was and when I last had my duct work cleaned. Upon hearing my answer of 6 years ago he advised that another cleaning was likely not needed. All I can say is wow, that's honest. While they didn't perform any services for me you can be their on my short list from here on out when I do have service needs.

Description of Work: came to inspect/clean AC through coupon deal on Angie's list...we ended up installing new AC & furnace per their very thorough & fair evaluation of remaining life in these units...we had suspected it was time and appreciated the professionalism along with quality workmanship

Description of Work: They were timely, efficient and gave a good overview of their work. I needed to have a follow-up check a couple of weeks later due to another provider's questions. This was done same day as request with no additional cost.

Description of Work: I called Top Notch to come out and give me a bid on some ductwork changes and a new furnace. They were prompt and I really liked their approach. Because the ductwork changes were complicated it took a few days to get the bid, which I got by email. I did not use them for the project but they were in my top two at the end of the bidding process.

Description of Work: Tim & Glenn were professional; explained process before starting as well as options & costs for additional vents that exceeded coupon coverage. Job was done quickly, neatly & as quietly as possible. We were asked if we wanted to see debris / dust collected which we did, They also discussed tips that may help decrease dust in our home. Tim was very informed on types of filter options that may be of value for our needs and also noticed, and corrected, small leak on water line to humidifier. We were pleased with the service & would use them again.

Description of Work: He went out of his way to get the correct filter for my furnace/ heat pump and helpful in discussing my options. The original one, while very good, was quite expensive. He called his company and went out and picked it up.

Description of Work: I've had experience with Top Notch in the past and wanted to take advantage of their recent Angie's list "Big Deal" for a Furnace Inspection and Tune up and Cleaning. I called to schedule an appointment and it was scheduled within a reasonable time frame that was consistent with my schedule. The tech arrived on-time and promptly inspected my furnace as the deal stated. I also explained to him that I was unsure as to how the humidifier worked and he took the time to show me how it works, and how to maintain it. The service from the company has been consistent and I will continue to use them in the future.

Description of Work: I purchased Angie's List deal for furnace, air conditioner and purchased a humidifier for house. I work downtown and a friend let them into my house. They worked with me and my friend. The service was terrific and very thorough.

Description of Work: We have a service contract with Top Notch, so when I arrived home about 8:30 PM on Wednesday, August 29, to fiind that our old air conditioner wasn''t cooling well I called for service. The tech arrived about 10 PM, put in 4 pounds of freon and warned me that this indicated a significant leak and the fix might hold for a day, a week or maybe longer. He gave me proposals for a variety of replacement units. I have a nephew in the HVAC business in Cincinnati, so I called him and discussed the proposal and the need for a new unit; he told me the proposal for the better unit was a reasonable price and assured me that with that kind of leak I would need a new unit. On Thursday evening I arrived home about 9 PM and found the house very hot. I called the service dispatcher again, but realized that I would be throwing money away to just add freon, so I left a voice-mail asking if there was anything that could be done before the upcoming Labor Day weekend. My wife has been having some health problems and I was worried about her condition. About 7:45 AM on Friday, Aug 31st, I received a phone call from a Top Notch boss asking if I wanted a new unit and if so, which one. I said yes to the one I wanted - one that would go well with our existing furnace - and he said they would get back to me. About 9 AM a tech knocked on our door and said he was there to install our new A/C. They were done by shortly after noon, We had a very comfortable weekend and have been very pleased with tthe unit and service since then.
