Description of Work: They provided semi-annual maintenance for the furnace and AC. I have used their service for eight years. They are always professional.

Description of Work: I contacted Top Notch Heating & Cooling for a 2nd opinion on my furnace. On a routine fall maintenance check, I had another contractor tell me that my heat exchanger needed to be replaced for $1300 or that I may want to replace my entire furnace for $1900. My furnace is only 6 years old. |Over this past year, I had met the owner of Top Notch Heating & Cooling and immediately thought of Top Notch to take a 2nd look. I sent them an email through Angie's List on a Thursday afternoon and their office called me within 20 minutes to schedule the appointment for the next morning! |I was extremely impressed by Eric - the service technician. He obviously knows HVAC systems very well and had a vast knowledge of the potential problem at hand. Eric went above & beyond by explaining everything he did and the results he found. Bottom line....my heat exchanger does not need to be replaced and I also do not need a new furnace. Eric did suggest we buy a Carbon Monoxide Detector either from them or at a hardware store - no pressure. Needless to say, I signed up for the yearly maintenance program with Top Notch for my furnace and A/C systems.

Description of Work: They did a winter service on our 3 furnaces plus installed a new pipe in our fireplace, put the logs in with the help of Smoke and Fire.

Description of Work: We use Top Notch for all our heating and cooling tuneups and repairs, so it was nice to see this deal being offered. They're a good company and get things done right. Our serviceman also gave me a ton of info about different furnaces in terms of price and quality because we know we'll need to replace it in the next year or so. Helps a lot.

Description of Work: Whole house air duct cleaning. Well... they got most of the dust and dirt.

Description of Work: Installation was done well. I felt the unit was actually louder than the 30 year old model it replaced, so they sent a tech out to evaluate. He came out then came back a second time with a Trane rep. They agreed with me on the noise. It took a month or so to get a replacement compressor, but the new one is much better. Only suggestion is that the company could do followup calls/emails to check on satisfaction levels after installation or service. The new compressor took longer than promised to get in, but I wasn't notified. Had to call them myself to check on status. Satisfied overall, though.

Description of Work: The two technicians who came out to clean our vents were Mark and Justin. Both gentleman were polite, organized and professional in appearance and performance. They left all work areas very neat and saw to it that our floors, walls, etc. were properly protected as they went about their business. Today was my first occasion to use Top Notch and I rate the experience as excellent.

Description of Work: The two gentlemen who arrived to clean our air ducts were both professional and thorough. They spent a considerable amount of time cleaning out our lengthy dryer vent, which was important in our case. we were extremely pleased with the service from first contact to completion.

Description of Work: A new humidifier was installed that was purchased through Angie's list. A new ball valve was an add on to the service call. The work was satisfactorily done. The new valve was a little pricey but should not need to be replaced. Purchased a system checkup for spring and fall at additional expense to amount listed above. Will see how those two calls go.

Description of Work: They installed a whole house humidifier for us. Our installation appointment got lost in their computer. Once I called them, they apologized and were there within a couple hours. |I had asked that the installer use my thermostat to control the humidifier but he was not able to figure out how to do that and the in-duct work installation will make it very difficult to correct later.

Description of Work: They installed brand new 92% furnace and 13 sheer AC at very reasonable price. The customer service is very good and try hard to coordinate our moving schedule. Work was done by day, clean and neat!
