Top Notch Heating Cooling & Plumbing

I feel like the guy from Top Notch Heating, Cooling & Plumbing fibbed to me about washing out the air conditioner because there was no hose.

They arrived on time and were very polite and friendly.They wore protective footwear and went right to work. They kept us informed of what they were doing, especially when they noticed the vent pipe just hanging off the water heater. They put it back and fastened it so it wouldn't happen again. No extra charge. Even the phone personnel were friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience!

Called to schedule an appointment because the air coming from our air conditioner was not very cold. I reached someone on my first call. They said they could fit me in that day and that they would call when they were on their way (no specific time specified). I did indeed receive a phone call about 20 minutes before the visit. My technician was pleasant and knowledgeable, respectful and easy to talk to. After examination he identified the problem (needed more refrigerant), cleaned the AC, and gave me some idea of what to expect in the future as my HVAC unit is almost 13 years old.

They did a great job, explained what they would be doing and also cleaned out the dryer vent. Did a great job and would use again.

The team arrived on time. We suddenly became aware that the floor vents would of course have to be reachable. So there was a little hustle on getting some furniture out of the way. After that they simply did the job, showed the results, cleaned up and left without a trace. Our air seems cleaner and we seem to be doing a LOT LESS SNEEZING and COUGHING>

Received call to schedule the cleaning. Then the day of they called to let me know they were on there way. There were two service people that showed up, very polite. He went over everything they would do and then started the job. They completed it timely. They did forget to replace the screws in the duct work on the furnance and a vent in the garage, we put it back ourselves. Overall they did a good job

ON TIME,DO THE THE RIGHT THING

I have two degrees in Engineering and have designed/build machines over the years so I am very familiar with the amount of work involved and what needs to be done. I understand HVAC pricing is a 'demand' service (i.e. much higher in heat of summer, or cold of winter) so I explained the work could be done 'off season' or whenever they had nothing else to do. No dice! The price was the price, period. The company seems OK, just not to my liking. They seemed capable and competent (at least for the trivial task I contracted) and their equipment seemed appropriate. They are concerned about the reviews here so I'll assume their reputation is important and therefore they would do their best to make the customer satisfied. In all fairness I asked for something out of the ordinary. They were not willing/able do veer out of the normal. I have no recommendation as to use or not use them.

Our overall experience was very good.

Technician was on time, very polite, worked hard, did a great furnace tune-up. Would def use this company again. Nice people.

My experience with them was good. They did a good job, and I had no complaints about it. They were friendly. They weren't outstanding; they were just good. There was no reason to be outstanding; they just came and did their job. With regard to price, they were excellent because I used the big deal on Angie's List.

Technician arrived as scheduled, did the inspection, explained what he was doing, set up the humidifier for winter.

We found Top Notch thanks to a Big Deal promotion for air duct cleaning and wow, very impressed. From scheduling through service, the company completely lived up to their name. Mark and Shawn were both friendly and professional, showed up right on time and wasted no time getting to work. I've already sent a referral their way thanks to those two. The guys did an incredibly thorough job, and spent more time here than most services have in the past--even back when I had plaster dust from remodels. The clean-up afterward was also well done. Plus they offered great advice on a wrong filter I'd been using that could actually burn out the motor on our older unit. Really appreciated the above-and-beyond experience I felt with them, and they both seemed genuinely grateful for the business. I've had this service done several times since we've remodeled a number of homes over the years, and this is a company I plan to stay with for this service in the future. I love finding companies I can trust and stick with without having to shop around each time, and Top Notch just filled that slot for duct cleaning for sure, and they're a company I'll certainly call for future heating and air needs, too, after this. They had to work in the furnace room. They cleaned all the ducts and cold air returns. He also noticed that the vent pipe on my water heater was falling apart. He had all the materials with him and repaired it for me as well.

We used this service because of the Angie's List coupon. We had just had hardwood floors installed and had a lot of dust accumulated everywhere, including air ducts. The service was fine. My only issue was that it ended up costing more than I had anticipated, due to the number of vents in the house.

The work was excellent. He didn't try to sell anything.

The AC was starting to make noise so I assumed the worst ... something like the compressor was going out. Turns out the only thing needed was a minor adjustment and some cleaning. Pleasantly surprised.

Went very well. I've used their services to maintain my heating/cooling system and have been very pleased. They are punctual, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. Would recommend them.

Two workers from Top Notch arrived at my home about 8:30 AM - the dispatcher that had scheduled the work had told me they would be there at 8 AM, so maybe there is a communication gap about that? Anyway, they were very professional, explained the process, and made sure that they answered any questions that I had. They also took the time to explain what the duct cleaning would and would not do before they started - apparently this is a process that removes dust and debris from the duct work, improving the air flow throughout the home, but does not actually improve air quality in the home. They also recommended several filter options that actually would improve the air quality. My home is about 30 years old and has never had the duct work cleaned, so I went ahead with the work - I had a coupon that covered 12 ducts/returns, and they told me up front that each additional was $20 apiece, so I basically saved about 50% on the work with the Angie's list coupon. It took them 3 hours from start to finish, they removed and replaced all the air duct covers, repaired all the entrance holes that they drilled in the returns and mostly cleaned up after themselves. A few of the rooms had debris on the carpets that they left behind, but otherwise not too much mess.

It was a minor job. Everything was fine.

It went very well. We had purchased an Angie's List deal to have our furnace serviced with preventative maintenance. The representative was punctual, professional and clean. Wore booties even in the basement. We were pleased with the service we received and would hire them again. Even though the deal we bought had expired, they still honored it! VERY impressive and much appreciated. A+

Excellent overall workmanship. The installer was on time & in & out of our house in 1 hour. It was refreshing not to get a call & say that they were behind schedule & going to be late. The installer was courteous & thoroughly explained the humidstat settings & maintenace requirements for the humidifier.
