They came out the same day I called or like the next day, it was very quick. I didn't call them for a couple of weeks or like a week or so. I spent more than the $99 but that was because I ended u spending $350 because the put an extra pound of coolant in so that was about $100. And signing up for their program was another $99 and I guess they sold me two filters and there is another thing that they fixed. I mean the air conditioning does work better but it's kind of like they've got you. I didn't really get a chance to get an extra bid or anything. So that's what was kind of, you know maybe it needed all of that but you know it's kind of like they are there and I would have like the chance to get a different bid. I mean you know it wasn't, like the air conditioner wasn't working great and so it's definitely better so I don't, know. I mean I got them from your list so I figured they were one of yours, I don't know. Are they a top rated company with you or. So I don't know, well I thought that was an A rated company or what. I kind of thought that it must have been rated well or you wouldn't have offered a good deal if it wasn't, a good company. My air conditioner definitely was not cooling well, but now it is cooling better. It did seem like it was a little slow, but it is cooling better. They came out and thy did an inspection and I ended up paying $350. It's a heater, a furnace and yeah they talked about, time I get ready to buy a new air conditioning. You know you would like to think that they are honest but then it might be something expensive. I don't know what it was, you know I said I usually like to get bids on things when I have work done. The guy seemed nice and he was here for a while working, but nothing in particular. The air conditioner hadn't been serviced for a couple of years so I was thinking that you know it might have, you know I mean, might have needed some work. They were out there that day as soon as I called them.

Technician was courteous, professional, considerate and knowledgeable. Great Job!

When I noticed that the temperature on our bedroom-level was going up yesterday afternoon, I discovered that the blades in one of our two A/C units were not moving even though I could hear the unit click "on". After reviewing some customer comments for several companies, I called TopNotch based on the service hours posted on their website. The scheduler was very polite and found me in their system, although it has been years since I recall having them troubleshoot a furnace problem. She said that she could have a technician out the same day and within 30 minutes, there he was! Initially, Bob was pretty sure that he could replace the motor and gave me two quotes, one for the motor and one for the motor with their VIP preventive maintenance agreement in the picture. We went with the maintenance program (our system is not getting any younger!) and he got to work in the miserable heat. Well, much to my disappointment, he knocked on the door and said that the motors on his truck would fit, but they did not have the appropriate RPMs and would render the unit less efficient. He said that he could return this morning at 8 a.m. with the best motor for the job and even mentioned that it would probably cost less than what he had originally quoted me. He promptly called to let us know that he was on his way this morning and spent about 2 1/2 hours replacing the failed motor and servicing the other unit. It took them two trips and about 3 1/2 hours, so what we paid for the repair seemed reasonable. Now that we have a maintenance agreement with them, hopefully we'll only need to see them twice yearly, but if we need repairs, Bob seems like the technician we want on the job and in our house!

He checked the unit and found a leak he would have fixed it but suggested that we contact the original company because it could still be covered. We appreciated his honesty about getting it fixed by the right guys.

We purchased this house last summer. When we had the furnace serviced, the technician noted that there was a lot of construction debris and dust in the ductwork. This was getting drawn into the blower unit and caused it to work at a much lower efficiency. He recommended a cleaning. We called Top Notch Heating, Cooling & Plumbing. They took care to keep the access points clean. The team gave the ductwork a thorough cleaning. The floors and other surfaces are much, much cleaner after they were done. I highly recommend their service.

They have 24 hour service and do not charge extra. They are highly professional and I felt honest. They worked with me. I pitted them against another company and they beat the deal. I felt very comfortable with them I got a humidifier and close to a $1000 better deal with the. They are in my area.

They always arrive within their scheduled window. They are knowledgeable about their work and can answer any questions and concerns. They make sure the system is ready for the upcoming season be it summer air conditioning or winter heating. They do not do unnecessary work but will let you know if there is something that may need to be replaced in the future and what to watch for. The blower fan has a rattle which is annoying but livable. If it becomes unbearable or goes out they can replace it but they told us it doesn't have to be done until then. They even mail a reminder when it's time to schedule the next check up.

This was a great job and we are glad we finally had this done.

They came out quickly, were professional, and fixed the problem. The a/c had not been checked for several years so it was nice to have their reassurance that the unit was good.

They gentlemen that came to do the work were very nice. My daughters have bunk beds in their rooms and there is a return vent behind their bed. They moved the bed for me so they could get to that one and I didn't even ask them to do that. The only problem I had was the mess it left. I have never had that type of work done before and had no idea it would leave such a mess. It may not have had anything to do with the service provider, maybe that is normal however, I was not expecting it.

I had Top Notch out last year because one of our A/C units was leaking coolant, after an exhaustive search and several different techs coming out over a one week period they finally figured it out and problem was fixed. Two super small valves were the problem so we replaced them at that time. This summer when that same A/C unit wasn't working when we turned it on for the first time we called Top Notch again....no coolant again, bummer! They did know immediately where the problem was coming from but this time instead of just replacing the two small valves they replaced that entire piece of the unit. I did pay for the "$99 Tune up Deal" for both units and the new part but they didn't charge me for the coolant lost, nitro test or the service call. I am SUPER happy with Top Notch, I have great respect for a company that stands behind their work. I am and will be a loyal Top Notch customer and will recommend them to others!

Through an Angie's list online promo, we paid (in advance, sight unseen and with few details) for a whole house humidifier and scheduled installation. We were having some electrical work done at the same time, so we scheduled around a crew already working on a project. The person came out a couple of hours early, so the crew was still there. I showed him where we had space, where we wanted the item installed (roughly the same place we had installed one in our last home) but he said that couldn't be done, that the only place he could install it was where it would jut out 8 inches in an already-narrow walkway. When I asked it there wasn't something we could do that would create a smaller profile, he said that a different unit could be installed exactly where we had wanted it, and it would only be a few dollars more. I asked for the exact price, and he balked at giving it to me. I suggested calling his company to find out, and after 20 minutes, he 'discovered' a price list in his vehicle, and it was more than twice the cost of the unit we'd already paid for! My spouse came home from work and had the same questions about location. We opted for the item from the promo that we had paid for. My spouse showed the man how to connect to a different duct thus limiting the amount of materials used as well as the space the whole unit would take up. He then finished the job quickly. He did not leave a mess.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was perfect. I liked them so well that I'm calling them back to service my air conditioner and my furnace again this year. We scheduled almost immediately after I made the purchase. I paid extra $125 for the furnace cleaning because I wanted to have it done as well. They didn't force it, I did.

The service turned out fine. They came pretty quick and got it taken care of.

I was extremely impressed with not only their service but also with their professionalism. The person working on my furnace not only fixed my furnace but also let me know what was wrong, how it could be fixed, and had the part to fix it. I also was able to sign up for an air condition check in the spring.

It was a very good experience. They were excellent.

When our A/C unit wwnt down we were at a loss at what to do. We went on trusty Angie's list to find a reputible repair service. This place was at the top so I tried to call. When i called I was placed on hold 4 different times, even when all I had asked if they provided service for my area. None of the 4 different people I talked to could tell me this answer. The final person finally took my number and got the on-call person to give us a call. The only positive experience I had was with an actual tech. He let me know what the problem was and he called me back within 5 minutes. He unfortuneatly could not see un until the next day so I thanked him for his time and let him know I went with someone who could be there that evening. As a person in the customer service industry myself I can not stand when you are transferred with out explanation to several people who all seemed like they hadn't a clue what they were doing. Please do yourselves a favor and instruct your call service to at least have knowledge of the areas they serve. Understandably they were very busy, but no one even said I'm so sorry for your hold, I would just ask a simple question and wait another 5-10 minutes per person. My rating of an A was for the tech who was incredibly nice and who responded back to me in no time. the other scores are for the rest of the outfit.

Technicial was very pleasant and informative. He was thorough and tuned up our two furnaces nicely for the winter.

The serviceman cleaned and inspected the furnace and humidifier then checked the operation of the whole system including the heat pump. He didn't mind that I watched and asked questions about the system. He was thorough and professional. I'd definitely call them again.

It went very well. They (2) were on time and spent about 3-4 hours here. I doubt they made very much money after paying for the labor.. I'm not sure how clean they got the duct work because there wasn't anyway to inspect the majority of it without a video camera which wasn't included in the deal.

Lady who answered the phone declined to provide installation services for new mini-split system.

Service provider was very friendly and arrived on time and the price was low. Although I could not inspect the actual work, I assumed they did a good job of cleaning the ducts. Was not impressed with clean-up. Lots of metal scraps, screws, and debris left in my basement. Also found numerous screws by ductwork vents in the house and noticed multiple scratches in vent covers. I picked the provider because they were listed on Angie's list Big Deals. After I paid for the service, found it it took over a month before they had a crew available to do the work.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal purchase that I made. The person that actually came was really, really helpful and knowledgeable because at that point he talked to us because our furnace was so old, and he was really great because he was talking about how much happier we would be with a new furnace. Even if we didn't buy it from them, it was like he was watching through the best price and ours was so old that we could upgrade to something like we did that it isn't like a fabulous one and still reap a lot of rewards from that and he ended up teaching me some things about our vent in the basement, and why a certain room was always colder or hotter. He was just really, really great.

I purchased the big deal coupon for this service and I just paid the big deal amount. They didn’t charge me anything extra. My experience with them was fine. It was okay. They did not talk to me at all. It wasn’t a terrible experience, but I just didn’t like the fact that the guy didn’t talk to me at all. I would not use them again in the future.
