Top Notch was a referral from a friend and after seeing an A rating on Angie?s List decided that they?d be my best bet; I was absolutely correct. Our furnace would run but not long enough to get the house to the temperature set on the thermostat. I had an tune-up appt set for Friday but when we woke up on Wednesday to a house that was 60 degrees I called them to see if they could move up my appointment. Fortunately, they were able to send someone out within a couple of hours. The tech tested the thermostat and cleaned the flame sensor. He also showed me how some sort of resister was close to failing and that the water pad was in desperate need of replacement. I decided to have the resister changed out but when I balked at water pad he wrote down the part number as it was something I could easily pick up at Home Depot. I was so impressed with the service that I went ahead and paid for the VIP package which took care of the furnace service and offers me an AC tune-up in the spring.

We have an old house. Unfortunately, the work could not be done because the air pressure would have punctured some of our flexible duct work. I really do want our vents to be cleaned well. But I'm not sure who can do it or how it can be done. :- ( Provider said we would not be charged because work was not performed.

It turned out good. They did a really good job. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal amount. They were very prompt and their communication was good.

Fantastic. Larry was professional, friendly and timely. Did an excellent job and spent time educating me about proper care for my furnace. My furnace is running great and much better since Larry. I first read Top Notch reviews and since I liked what I read, I purchased a coupon for service on Angie's List. Very happy with the service and look forward to calling Top Notch again.

Chris (I think that is the owner's name) is very congenial, competent and organized. He seems motivated to please and also has a light-heartedness that is pleasant to be around. He is enthusiastic about working and I have had him to my windows now on 3 separate occasions. He has always shown up and down a great job!

They did great. Everything was perfect.

They cleaned our ac and replaced a part at a great price. I was very pleased they could come the same day we called. I felt the price was more than fair and I appreciated that everything was explained to me as it was done. I would use them again and have recommended them to others.

Overall things went well. I'm happy with the unit they installed and the work they did. I would use them again in the future. I had Top Notch install a new A/C (house did not have central A/C) and a new furnace. They did a good job of confirming appts and showing up on time. I went with Top Notch for multiple reasons: 1) I wanted a Trane unit (good reviews by consumer reports), 2) their price was good (in the middle of the quotes I received) 3) they had good reviews on Angie?s List A month after the install was complete I had an energy audit. The auditor pointed out some leaks in the supply ducts. My unit is in the attic; if it was in the basement I don?t think the leaks would as big of deal. The leaks were around the ?boots? where the flexible supply ducts attach to metal ducts that go into the house. I'm not sure if this is an oversight or if these connections are typically sealed. I plan on sealing myself.

Everything went fine. They did what they said they were going to do. They showed up on time. They communicated, they gave me a call, explained what the options were and then did it.

I had Top Notch out to check the AC this past fall. It wasn't cooling any longer and the unit is fairly new. I purchased a Big Deal value and gave them a call. They were prompt in returning my call and responding. They set up an appt quickly. The tech was friendly and professional. We figured out that that the coolant had leaked out and was quite low due to some lawn landscaping done earlier this year. The unit had been bumped loosening a hose. I paid additional to have the coolant topped off. He also checked and cleaned the inside unit and took time to explain and answer all of my questions. Great service. At the end of the appt. I pre-purchased a furnace check and had them back out to maintenance that just recently. Again, very professional, nice guy, full of great information and tips. I would def. hire this co. again should the need arise. I feel like the pricing was fair and they did a good job.

It was very good. The guys were really courteous and friendly. They worked hard and they were here all day. I thought they did a good job.

The guys showed up on time, did the work in a reasonable time frame, and cleaned up the little mess they made before leaving.

The humidifier, which I purchased from and had installed by Top Notch two years ago, stopped working so I called and scheduled an appointment. Unfortunately, the tech they usually send, Larry, was on vacation. I was given the opportunity to schedule an appointment for his return or have a new tech come out. I opted to not wait. This time I was given a window of time for the tech's arrival and was told they would call when the tech was on his way. This is no particular challenge, as I work 5 minutes from my home. The office called when the tech was 15 minutes away. Tom arrived, just when they said he would. The problem was quickly diagnosed, explained to me in a way that I could understand, and repaired. Tom identified the problem as a bad humidistat and replaced it. The work was covered under the warranty; therefore, there was no charge for the visit. Amazing! As usual, they were professional from start to finish.

Larry came out as scheduled and cleaned and checked the furnace, replacing the air filter and the humidifier screen. He was quick, professional, and clean. Top Notch always sends the same tech, which is very comforting. Larry knows our equipment and I know that Larry is competent and trustworthy. I feel confident I can go about my day, while Larry works his magic with our AC or furnace. Before he leaves, he always gives me a quick update on the working conditions of the AC unit or furnace. Scheduling is simple and the techs are always on time. If there is a delay, I am notified with an accurate update on the expected time of arrival.

lThe appointment window was scheduled for 8AM - 11AM. I received a call around nine saying the the technician was on the way. A few minutes later Tom showed up. He was very professional and polite. I noticed he had covers on shoes so he wouldn't track anything in the house which was nice.I showed him to the furnace, and he discovered an error message and explained how to interpret the message based on the message lights. He cleaned the flame sensor and that resolved the issue. He cleaned the rest of the furnace and came up stairs when he was done. He did try to sell a humidifier for the furnace, but it was more of mentioning it to me and explaining what it did. I'm sure they do that for every cleaning and check. Overall very happy with the experience, and I will be using Top Notch in the future. Thanks.

I purchased a big deal coupon for this company. They came a few days after I bought the coupon. The guy did a good job. He said who ever worked on the furnace before put too much Freon in and that's why I was having a problem and he took some of the Freon out.

I purchased the big deal coupon for this service and it was perfect. There was just one guy who came out to do the job. It took him may be an hour or two to do the job. I really don’t remember though. The price was very good, and it included the humidifier system and its installation.

It was a big deal purchase and it was fine. They were quick, clean and on time. The people that came and did the work were professional. They came when we called them and we did not have to wait. The quality was great.

Tech was in denial. Said his company didn't leave the gap that wasted air escapes since after cleaning my acoil. Well it wasn't like that before you cleaned it and no one touched it since you did. Either way they don't back up their work.

I had a little bit of trouble with their timeliness, but overall the service went well. Also, the service guys were nice and professional.

The office personnel was wonderful, friendly and answered all my questions. The date was scheduled, the installers called before delivery, they were prompt and courteous. They put coverings down on the carpet and cleaned everything up. All in all a positive experience. Would definitely use them again.
