Went well

We had went to their showroom first but they had to send a salesman to the house. I was unhappy that I could not even get a ballpark estimate at their showroom. I went to several other places and I had no trouble getting written estimates. You have to have a salesman come out to get the estimate, once we got the estimate we decided not to go with them because we found a better price. The salesman that came out was very knowledgeable about their product and did a good job. I may use them in the future because they do have a good product, just a little pricey. We ended up choosing another company because the window the sold had a pull down screen.

They did good work and there were no problems with the work. They even called us back later to check to make sure the work was still good.

When all was done we were very pleased. The garden window is awesome! I was a bit uneasy about if it would look goofy in the front of the house at such a large size, but it looked lovely; beyond my expectations. We have 6 inch walls so the windows needed some trim to fill in the gaps in the surrounding trim. We ordered half of the windows (17) and then the other half a few weeks thereafter. They did not bring the trim for the first half. I spoke with eight people and five of them had looked at the windows to see what I meant. There was a lack of communication at the office apparently. Finally when the second half was installed when they brought the trim and finished all of them. We love the windows now.

The salesman was very nice & knowledgeable. After purchasing a window & installing it, there were 2 minor issues that needed to be fixed. After 1 month, they still are not fixed. The crew arrived almost 2 hours late, with no phone call letting me know. I am not pleased with the flashing job on the round window portion, which they are going to come out to fix. The price is a little high, but they guarantee you a savings of 40%. This is the only company that sells this brand of window, which is top of the line, in Kansas City. I would buy again ONLY because of the window quality, NOT because of their service.

WE APPLIED FOR A LOAN THROUGH THIS WINDOW COMPANY. OUR LOAN WAS DENIED. WE BOUGHT WINDOWS FROM ANOTHER COMPANY. MONTHS LATER, WE WERE INFORMED THAT OUR THERMAL KING WINDOWS HAD COME IN. WE EXPLAINED THAT OUR LOAN HAD BEEN DENIED AND THEREFORE OUR CONTRACT WAS NULL AND VOID. THERMAL KING NOT ONLY EXPECTED US TO PAY FOR THE WINDOWS, AFTER OUR LOAN HAD BEEN DENIED, THEY TOOK US TO COURT. AFTER TWO YEARS OF LEGAL WRANGLING, THE COURT SIDED WITH US AND MADE THERMAL KING PAY EVERYTHING, INCLUDING A TIDY SUM. THE JUDGE CITED MANY THINGS WRONG. I.E.: THEIR PAPER WORK WAS INCORRECT, THEIR FORMS WERE FOR THE WRONG STATE AND WE WERE ASKED TO SIGN BLANK FORMS. ALL IN ALL A VERY SHODDY WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS. (RECENTLY READ OF ANOTHER COMPLAINT, IN THE NEWSPAPER, DEALING WITH MOISTURE IN THE WINDOWS. PLEASE - DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!

I WAS IMPRESSED THE CREW THAT INSTALLED THE WINDOWS AND LOOKING FORWARD THE REST OF THE WINDOWS TO BE INSTALLED.

I CALLED FOR THEM TO REPLACE 16 WINDOWS AND FOUND THEIR PRICE TO BE TOO HIGH. THEY CALLED ME BACK THIS JANUARY AND SAID THEY HAD A GREAT DEAL AND TO SEE IF I WAS STILL INTERESTED. I SAID YES AND THEY CAME BACK OUT AND THEY KNOCKED SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS OFF THEIR ORIGINAL ESTIMATE. I SAID I WANTED TO THINK ABOUT IT AND THEY KIND OF PRESSURED ME INTO DOING IT. I DECIDED TO DO IT AND I HAD TO PUT HALF DONE. I STARTED TO THINK ABOUT IT LATER AND DECIDED I WANTED TO CANCEL IT SINCE I HAD 3 DAYS TO CANCEL. I CALLED THEM TO TELL THEM AND THEY TOLD ME THAT SOMEONE WOULD CALL ME BACK AND I SAID I DIDN'T NEED SOMEONE TO CALL ME BACK BECAUSE I JUST WANT TO CANCEL. I ENDED UP CALLING BACK THAT DAY BEFORE THEY CLOSED AND THEY SAID THE GUY I NEEDED TO TALK TO WASN'T IN YET AND THAT HE WOULD CALL ME WHEN HE GOT IN. LATER THAT EVENING THE SALESMAN SHOWED UP AT MY HOUSE TO ASK WHY I HAD CANCELLED. I SAID I WANTED TO GET SOME OTHER QUOTES. HE KEPT CALLING AND SHOWING UP AT MY HOUSE.

THE INSTALLERS WORKED AT CONVENIENT TIMES AND WERE ON TIME TO BEGIN. THEY WERE CAREFUL AND EXPLAINED WHY SOMETHINGS HAD TO BE DONE DIFFERENTLY THAN WE PLANNED. STEVE WAS MY SALES REP, AND HE WORKED HARD TO COME DOWN TO WITHIN MY PRICE RANGE. HE ALSO CAME OUT TO MY HOUSE TWO DAYS AFTER THE WINDOW WERE INSTALLED TO CHECK ON THINGS AND TO MAKE SURE I WAS SATISFIED.
