Thermal King Windows Inc

Very poorly. From the lying of the agent who came in to talk about my new windows (he failed to tell me that my bay window would only be wood & i would have to paint them myself) to the installation of all my windows. the bay window was the wrong size & then after that was finally put in, they failed to cork around the outside & put slices into the wood & huge holes on the inside that I found only after they left. the fix was to put in putty to cover the holes & the cut. no one could tell me why they didn't fix it before or why they did it. also the bay window screens kept coming out (wrong size) and it took them over 7 months to get ones that aren't the right size but would at least stay in. I also had they replace the back bedroom window due to leakage (water on the inside). this has been done 2 times (one time they came with the wrong size even tho they have it in their system) and I have to call them again today due to leakage. These are expensive windows and not worth the money due to the time & pain it has taken me to get things fixed. Their customer service is not very good & some of the technicians that have come out have had an attitude. I have had alot of trouble getting the windows timely. even the installation in the beginning was late (they brought out the wrong size).

We purchased windows and doors from Thermal King about 10 years ago. We chose the triple pane so replacing all the windows and doors lowered our heating and cooling about 25%. They are a great product. We had one window that had to be replaced twice and another one is getting replaced today. We have never had a problem with replacements. Recently one of our sliding doors cracked like a windshield on a really cold day. The maintenance guy came out the same day we called and we had a new door within a couple of days. Their product has a lifetime warranty so there was NO cost, no questions, nothing. I have to say this company's customer service is impeccable.

The installers were prompt, professional and friendly. The windows also appear to be of a high quality. My only negative would be the communication between the initial sale and install was non existent. Overall, I would recommend.

Great windows, great experience. You won't go wrong with Thermal King - after 8 months, we can't believe how the windows have made the house so quiet and kept the outside temperatures outside! The entire process was easy. Steve did a great job right off the bat helping us understand the window construction, installation, price and warranty. The window installation was professional and they even helped us out when they found wood rot by replacing the boards. Highly recommend this company to anyone!

Workers were on time and did the installation in the time frame quoted. They were professional and polite. They cleaned up the work site and hauled off all debris. I didn't even need to do any touch up paint. The windows look beautiful.

Installation was professional and quick.  A drastic improvement over the wood windows we had before. The windows are high quality and we've seen a reduction in our electricity bills. After approximately one year, we had an issue with the track on one of the windows that had come loose. I called our representative who had his service tech in our area already.  Within an hour, the tech had come by and showed us the problem. It was fixed on site.  We've been really happy with the quality of the windows and the level of service in the one issue we've had.

A very positive experience. The windows themselves are top notch. Those two bedrooms are now the warmest rooms in the house in the winter, and the coolest once the AC is on. The sales team was very helpful and responsive. The ThermalKing windows are more than some of the other options out there, but you get what you pay for. They are a superior product. They measured the windows and ordered them. They came in on schedule, and the installers arrived on time. They did a great job, leaving no mess, and really paying attention to detail. This was much appreciated. All in all, a great product and great service. I definitely plan to repeat.

We had a kitchen remodel done and I wish everyone was as good as Thermal King.   The windows arrived in the time frame they were promised, the product and the installation were wonderful.  All the people from Thermal King were nice and professional.  The installer (I think his name was Chris) even fixed a couple of pieces of trim on the cabinets that we had just had installed (that's another story).  I would highly recommend them, they weren't the cheapest but I believe they are the best.  We looked at two other companies, their bids were lower but we didn't have a comfortable feeling with them.  We hope to get more windows from them in the next year (just gotta recover from the kitchen project.)

The salesman, Steve, came to my home on a week night to inform me all about the windows. He was very pleasant and I enjoyed speaking with him. The pitch was longer than I had expected, several hours. I was slightly put off when he said the prices he quoted today would only be good if I paid for half that very night. That just doesn't seem right to me. However, I was in the mind frame that I spent all this time talking to the sales person (plus one of my windows was completely broken) AND it will take 6 weeks to have the window and door made. So, I gave the deposit money. In addition, I liked what he had to say about the quality of the windows.
It did take about 6 weeks, but they installed them very quickly once in. I was not home when they installed the windows, but my 17 year old son was. He said they were very nice people.
Since the installation, both windows and the door lock needed repair. When I called for a repair, the man was out within the week. He was right on time, and again, very pleasant to work with. He showed me what had happened (children not opening the windows correctly) and how to open and shut the windows. I'm not sure what was wrong with the lock, but he fixed it in a jiffy. In and out in less than an hour. No charge of course, due to the guarantee.

They came when they said they were coming. They were clean. They even came and did a follow-up to fix something that I have never even thought to be wrong.

I was very happy with the entire experience with entire process with Thermal King.  The sales process was smooth -- the sales rep showed up on time, was very courteous, and did an excellent job explaining the difference between ALL windows, not just their own.  It felt like more of a "Replacement Windows 101" than a sales pitch.  The salesman only took about 30-40 mins to go over what he needed to go over, then our questions took another 15-20 minutes.  
The installation process was equally as smooth.  the installers again, showed up at 8am on the dot, they rang our doorbell and explained what they'd be doing, and then went to work.  they were always respectful of our home, we never heard any foul language, and they seemed to work together like a clock -- it was actually interesting to watch.
As far as the product itself, the windows are second to none.  It almost seems as if that side of our home has a tight seal on it.  The draft from the north facing kitchen window is gone, and on the hot days there was very little heat coming through the window.  MUCH MORE comfortable than our cheap builders windows.
Overall I'm VERY happy with Thermal King and will use them to replace all the windows in our home.

I found them through one of the home shows. It was really good in general. The only thing I really wasn’t too happy about was that, when we bought them, the salesman didn’t break down windows versus how much for installing, and it was really expensive. I felt he was using some kind of tricks. He said that they were going to call right now and order them, even though we had three days to cancel. What were they going to do if we cancelled in three days if they had already ordered them? They were not going to do that, not at 10 o’ clock at night. I think they are good windows. I didn’t like the salesman but I think the installation team did a really good job.

There is no such thing as a Thermal King window by the way,they are merely distributers) the actual windows have very good reviews. Thermal King's sales approach is very high pressure, something I generally hate. I did go ahead and order windows from them simply because at the time they were the best windows I had found. They were expensive, but I think sometimes you do get what you pay for. I am satisfied with the windows themselves. However, salesman told me to bring our windows up to code we would need tempered glass which added about $200 per window. Ouch, but if it's code I figured we should bite the bullet and install the correct type. After installation, I realized there was no etching on the glass to identify tempered glass as I learned is mandated by law to be readable on each pane of glass. I called about this, was ignored for some time, until again I pressed the issue. Salesman initially told me, of course the glass was tempered so I requested someone come out and show it to me.  Sure enough, glass was not tempered. I had paid quite a bit of money for the tempered glass and I feel they were trying to pass off regular glass instead.  Eventually, they did order the tempered glass and replace my panes. If I hadn't done my homework, I would have never known the expensive glass I paid for was not what I got. They called several months later offering me a "discount" to order the rest of my replacement windows. I had already found a much better company, also with excellent quality windows for 20% less than Thermal Kings "discount", excellent service and sales staff very easy to work with.

Our old windows were original to the house when it was built 50 years ago, and showed it. We had looked at several companies before deciding to go with Thermal King. They cost quite a bit more than the other companies we looked at, but we made the decision  based upon the window's technology and lifetime warranty. The sales person spent several hours at our house, and he explained everything about the windows and installation in great detail. When it came time to install, the crew that came did an OUTSTANDING job. It was not an easy job for Jason, Dave, and Tyler as the old metal windows had to literally be cut out of the walls using power tools. It took two entire days to wrestle out the old ones and re-frame and install the new windows. They also custom fabricated aluminum moulding and surrounds for the new windows instead of using cheap finger-jointed white wood that I've seen other companies do. They always were quick to respond to any concerns I had, and made sure that both my wife and I were completely satisfied before leaving the job. These guys were great; I wish they were around when I had my roof re-done, I would have hired them in a minute. Now about the windows- I waited to write this review until I had experienced some winter weather- and, boy, did we get winter weather this year! The difference in how our house feels is dramatic- absolutely no drafts or cold spots anywhere near the windows- in fact, the walls were much colder than any of our new windows. For the first time, we can now put plants in front of the windows in the winter and have them actually grow, not wither away from the cold. The house feels so much more open and brighter, and the fact that we can now actually clean all of the upstairs windows without going outside on a ladder is wonderful. Can't say enough about the product, but a special shout-out to the crew of Jason, Dave and Tyler for a job well done!

Installation was scheduled and the installers were prompt.  They were training a new guy which made be a little nervous.  I'm not keen on being the training ground for newbies when it comes to something so important.  They did a good job and cleaned up the mess.  The only problem was that the windows didn't have the grids.  So they ordered replacement shashes.  They were installed once they came in.  
Since that time, I had issues with one of the new windows meeting close enough to latch.  When I called, I left a message and someone was supposed to call me.  A week later, no phone call, so I called again. This time the person I spoke with said "we fixed your problem, the new sashes were installed".  I said yes, you did, but I now have another issue.  When I described what was happening, they said they would send someone out, which they did.  Clearly they didn't believe me, but when they got here, they saw what was happening and once again, are ordering new sashes.  Two weeks ago they were supposed to be in.  They called to let me know they came in, but were the wrong color.  So I'm once again waiting.  Hopefully, these will be here this week.

One of my frustrations with this company is their lack of paperwork and accountability.  I have been made to feel both times the issues weren't their fault.  The windows coming in wrong, clearly is the fault of their supplier and they need to address it.  One of the installers said it happens frequently.   If they were here and I possibly didn't notice someone at the front of my house with a ladder (doubtful), some type of note or followup call would be helpful.
They also don't seem to leave paperwork with quotes either.  I had a question regarding cost for my two kitchen windows which are considerably smaller than any of the four I had replaced and these two windows were going to be nearly $2,000 each.   I'll be doing more comparison shopping for my next round of window replacements.

I could not keep my kitchen below 80 degrees, it was always very hot. I had many different companies come out to take a look at my issue. I then started to look at windows to see if that was the problem. The one thing that impressed me was the construction of the windows and that they offered a lifetime warranty. Thermal King came out to give an estimate and gave a very good demonstration of their products. The windows have been working out fantastic for me.
