Pella Windows and Doors

Replaced bay windows with triple-paned glass, blinds and screens built in.

I had a significant issue with my windows and it was mostly due to my window frame being wrong. It was a difficult situation for both Pella and us. They followed thru and got the window to fit in our poorly frame window opening. They made me happy and I've change all the score up to what they deserve. I would use them again, and I've just asked them to quote on additional window. Well done Pella, fixing what was a big concern for us.!

I wanted the blinds enclosed so I contacted Pella. The price was more than I had anticipated, but I feel it was money well spent. My windows are gorgeous and the company was great to work with. Installation was completed as promised; trim was painted; and, my property was left clean of all debris.

The product has held up well. They gave the middle quote between two other service providers. I chose to go with them as I knew they had a high quality product. I did think that the price was on the high side but the installer was great and I did think the windows were well worth it. They did give the best presentation and they had the best salesperson as well.

The service turned out well. The cost was on the high side. The quality was very good.

The service was good. I am not sure that I would do the work the same way again as they never brought up an area that needed to be fixed during the installation. I would have liked it if they would have paid additional attention to this as I did have to have additional work done from them and I did have to pay for that. The guy was very apologetic about the situation and admitted that they should have brought it up. The windows were of high quality and I would use them again for service. The work had to be fixed due to a move that I was going through.

We went to there main office. The installer through Lowe's was not very nice at all and we chose to just do the installation of the door because of that guy. We would use more Pella products at this residence but we are down sizing at this moment. We like the door very much and I have noticed that on a cold day it keeps things warm and when it is warm it keeps the heat outside. We were very pleased. The salesperson was very professional and accommodating. He came out to see where the door would be installed to suggest the best product.

The service turned out okay. We have had some issues with the storm door because of the way that it is made. They have came out to put in a new door and to make repairs. The design of the storm door seems to be flawed. We have been really happy with the windows and door. The installers professionalism was good. The service has been great. Their price is in line with their competitors. They were on time with the work as well.

They did a good job. The price was very high for the window. The day they did the installation it was cold and they did the work quickly as there was open access to the house during the cold weather. The window has held up over several years. The product is of high quality.

I scheduled a consultation for the replacement of 8 windows while visiting the Home show. The sales person, who was at the show, came to my house a few days later and gave me a quote for Impervia windows. She was great and gave me all the discounts she could and totally blew Renewals by Andersen out of the water. Those guys, btw, are insultingly expensive. She followed up with me on a regular basis, making sure that the install date would work for me, and just to make sure things are still on schedule. She also visited for the official measurement with the installer. On the install day, a great team of two showed up on time, they were very neat and professional and picked up after themselves. Dropcloths and plastic everywhere to prevent dust flying around. I tried hard to find something to clean afterwards. The windows look fantastic! During the waiting period, while the windows were being made, I called my sales person again to quote a block window I needed for the bathroom remodel, which she promptly did for a great price. I have no worries now, waiting for that install. I looked at the ratings on Angies List and was surprised to see some bad reviews...not sure why.

They hire people to install windows. They give them a certain amount of time to install them. Instead of just making sure that they installed them properly, they have a time commitment to get it done. They were kind of in a rush. They do not really care about customer service. I made them come back after their finishing work was done because I could see where the finishing nails were. They did that very poorly. I got another contractor to work with and he was willing to work with them to coordinate doing it properly. They were not willing to work at all with the other contractor.

They were on time. They worked with me and were able to overcome weather related problems. They did great work. They had great service and cost saving ideas. They will replace the window and do service calls for free if anything goes wrong with the window.

My experience was awful. I tried to get them to fix one of my windows that was broken by hail, but I could not get them to answer their phone or return my calls. My wife and I have tried for weeks to make contact - no answer and no return call. I finally got lucky one day and they answered my call. They quoted the fix within a few days. Now I am trying to schedule the work and again they are not answering the phone or returning my calls. I have tried for over a week to schedule the work with no response. This is the worst service I have ever seen. If I hadn't gotten their windows, I would never use Pella. I don't recommend buying thier products, because you may someday have to deal with their service department.

It went well. I found them to be clean and efficient. The only issue I did have with the work was the caulking, but it was minor.

I have already submitted a review on this one and it tells the story pretty well about the troubles with the installation (took 2+ months), but we loved the finished product. Now, just over 1 year later, the finish is coming off of the front door that we installed. They will not return our phone calls, and my door looks awful. They are terribly unresponsive! I am writing this in hopes that they will respond to our repeated messages, and provide some guidance as to what we can do for the door. I spent $10,000 with you, the least you could do is return a phone call, and maybe stand behind your product.

We had several windows replaced by Pella about 5 or 6 years ago. So far, these have held up really well, so we decided to replace a larger number windows this time. The price was a bit more than I had expected, but that was because the architect series was the only style available for the size of windows we were replacing. They also made an appointment for the installer to come out to go over everything (the installers they used 5 years ago had some problems in fitting the basement windows) . Despite the subfreezing temperatures, the installers were very efficient and the installation went smoothly. The windows look great and the colors match really well. We're very impressed with the installers this time around.

Great job. The sales lady (Wanda) did not give a hard sell. The product is beautiful and the windows function flawlessly. We bought top-of-the-line Architect Precision Hung Double Hung wood windows with clad exterior and had the interiors pre-painted (they give you a few shades of white to choose from and do it themselves--so worth the money!) The windows are gorgeous and match our 1940's Cape Code house perfectly. The installers came promptly and did a fast job and cleaned up/hauled away all debris.

What I was impressed with was that they do not employ their installers; they sub-contract it to another very good company. The sales person came to my house, demonstrated the windows and talked about the job that needs to be done. We decided after some discussion that we would go with Pella Windows.

The sales person was very personable and knowledgeable about the products and the installation methods/process. I was open to ideas / configurations on a couple of windows and he had great suggestions which we implemented. Pella has several grades of windows and we agreed on the best for my home, which was not the most expensive. When I decided to go with Pella, the sales person returned with the installer and they reviewed the job together and measured everything again. We also scheduled the installation date at that time which was sooner than anticipated so that was a nice surprise. The sales person and his project manager followed up with me a few days prior to installation to confirm everything. The installer arrived on time as promised and worked industriously finishing the job in 2 days instead of the allotted 3 days. He and his team were extremely efficient and considerate and I appreciate how clean they left everything inside and out. There is one minor problem with one of the screens; Pella promptly returned to pick up the screen and I?m confident they will have it fixed and returned to me with no problem. I am very happy with the whole experience and highly recommend Pella. Their prices are competitive and their products are well-regarded.

Loved the product, and felt comfortable with the salesperson. Chose Pella over a cheaper bid. French Doors went in well, and look great. The front door (the easier of the 2 projects) is a different story. When the existing front door was started to be torn out, my wife noticed that the new door was not the color we ordered. The process stopped, we lived with foil tape around our door for 2 months. A new door was brought out weeks later, it was also the wrong color. We waited for several more weeks, and finally the correct color door was installed. Great looking doors, horribly frustrating process. Still do not understand how we could pick a color and door from their offerings and they could have such trouble getting the right color. They were not willing to make any concessions/discounts for our frustration. That still bothers me.

The lady that came wasn't very thorough. The company I chose took their time with me and had better sample windows.

The workers at Pella Windows were very professional and they did quality work. They were punctual and respectful. I would use them again in the future.

It is a very large unit. I can't recommend them highly enough. They are a lot more expensive if you had to buy a designer series than buy it from some other place. They installed, sustained and finished it within the cost. They also hauled the old unit away. All the windows in this house happened to be Pella windows. The wood at the bottom started to rot out and the rest of them were fine. When I called them, they came to me and I didn't even have to go to the store. I knew what I wanted as my old houses had Pella windows and their new windows are much nicer. The old windows are double glazed and the new ones are triple glazed. The older windows had the venison blinds inside the glass and are fixed and you can open and close the blind. With the new ones you can raise and roll the blinds, so that the window is completely clear if you want to. That was an improvement they made.

I got a Pella product at a Pella price, but with a big box service. I went in and was greeted by a very pleasant woman who had difficult experiences, like myself, with the big box stores. I paid a premium for what I thought would have been good service. I waited three weeks, and paid extra for the grids of the door to be stained on one side and painted on the other. They were delivered without being painted or stained. One of the doors arrive damaged, and the workers did not tell me. They went ahead and installed the doors, and was then informed that it would take three or four weeks for them to come back and replace the door. They did not offer any discount for the inconvenience, and they finally offered to bring me the stain and paint so I could finish it myself. They eventually brought them, but they were the wrong color. I found them to be unscrupulous, and I was extremely dissatisfied with their service. While the workers themselves did a fine job and were professional, all of the sales and district reps were completely unprofessional and I will never use this service again.
