Great! KC Metro Plumbing arrived on time, provided 2 options (repair vs replace the leaking faucet). The repair option was less expensive, though not guaranteed to resolve the issue - as a few different things could be the root cause and it may need replaced entirely. I chose to repair it, and thankfully it resolved the issue at very little cost. Grateful to KC Metro Plumbing for following up with us on our inquiry so quickly, and coming out the next day (before freezing temp's outside were forecasted to arrive just 2 days later). We would absolutely hire KC Metro Plumbing again. THANKS!!

Home Depot delivered but wouldn’t install my dishwasher because of the shut off valve. I really needed the dishwasher installed before the holidays and Kyle made it happen. He arrived on time. Installed shut off and dishwasher at a reasonable price.

Kyle was exceptional as he knocked it out under an hour. I will definitely use them again.

I noticed that there was no hot water coming out of the sink when I turned on the spigot, only cold. I went to the basement and saw that there was water leaking from the top of the hot water tank and spilling down the side onto the floor. This was a weekend. I called KC Plumbing and he came out to inspect. Thankfully, he found out that the tank was still under warranty with the manufacturer. Since we still had water (cold) it wasn't an extreme emergency so he was able to fit us into his schedule on the the upcoming Tuesday. The work was done efficiently, economically and completed in 1 day which was great. This is the 2nd time we have used this company. We are quite pleased with the experiences we have had with KC Plumbing. The owner, L.J., has serviced us very well and we will use him again when we have any other plumbing issues.

LJ was Very very helpful. Not like calling the larger companies where you get an operator who just makes an appointment or takes a message. My basement drain by the furnace was clogged & backing up. He gave me some basic tips to help troubleshoot & figure out what was likely going on. I probably fixed it myself after that but I still had him out to clean out the drain because we were going out of town the next day & I didn't want to take any chances. Good guy & I am grateful I connected with him.

They are great. Very honest and diligent. Willing to work with me to schedule time for repairs at a rental. Always good about showing up on time and giving me a good assessment. In this case, I had a hot water heater that needed to be replaced with an somewhat unusual installation. Took care of if it. I also had a small, not urgent leak in another unit. Looked at it, diagnosed the problem and recommended someone else as it was not something they could fix. No charge in that case.

Our water drain valve broke out of the tank on Tuesday afternoon. We needed a replacement asap and called KC Metro on Wednesday morning around 8:00 am. Kyle came out with a new water heater by 9:30 am and was done around noon. Very professional and conscientious!! If you need a good plumber, call KC Metro. I'll be working with them again for any future needs

When I called for an appointment I spoke with a knowledgeable person who could diagnose the problem immediately on the phone and provide me with a conditional price estimate. They were available to come out for the repair the next day. The plumber was very friendly, polite, and professional. I am completely satisfied with the work, and wasn't surprised to learn that KC Metro Plumbing is a small family business. I would definitely call them again for any future plumbing issues.

Water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced. Got quote over the phone and LJ was able to come out same day. Had replacement water heater on his truck so was able to replace right away. LJ did a great job explaining issues. Very happy with service and LJ.

After calling the utility company asking why the monthly bill was so expensive, the representative said that the water portion of the bill seemed to be running out of the ordinary. She suggested we call a plumber to see if there was a leak somewhere which is what we did. I looked in the monthly Angie's List magazine and at random chose the first plumbing company to catch my attention (there were only 3 listed). That company was K.C. Metro Plumbing, LLC. 913-777-9792. I called the phone number and the phone was immediately answered, not by a receptionist but as I would find out later, the actual owner of the company, LJ. I know that it is always suggested to get 3 estimates before making a decision but after my initial contact with LJ, I just didn't feel inclined to do so. He advised me that locating leaks can be tricky, that if I think I knew where it was coming from, that would make it better but to do a whole house search which could possibly include outside, could be difficult and doing that kind of search would entail its own price in addition to the repair costs themselves. He explained this to me and it sounded completely reasonable so I setup an appointment day. The next day would have been Saturday which was already booked for him and Monday was booked for me so I setup a Tuesday appointment, July 10, 2018. He allowed me to set my own time which was between 11-2pm. Tuesday came and LJ called to advise me he would be there about 12:30 and he arrived not to much past that time. He was very conscientious about his shoes when arriving, asking if I wanted him to remove his boots. I told him, no it wouldn't be necessary. He proceeded to take a towel he had brought with him and wiped the bottom of his boots which I thought was a nice. I introduced him to my mother who is wheel chair confined and then took him to where I thought one of the problems might be - the bathroom toilet. All during the day, off and on, I would hear a 'SSSSHHH' kind of sound like the toilet had finished flushing but the toilet had not actually flushed. I showed and explained this to L.J. he said He believed it was a problem with the flapper. He proceeded to place a small pen mark in the toilet to see if the water level would drop after a complete flush and tank refill was made. While we were waiting for the tank to refill, I asked L.J. to come look at the water softener to see if there was anything that could be leaking from the unit. Once he removed the digital face panel, we could see a bit of water in the mechanisms but once he tightened a small rubber tube, it seemed to resolve the problem. Also the small amount of water wouldn't have contributed to the type of high bill we were receiving. He checked the pipes running to the softener and all looked ok. He said it looked like there might have been a leak at one time but the sediment must have built up to block it off as there was now no sign of leakage. He ran the water softener through 2 refill cycles and saw no discernible leaks. Yay! Heading back to the bathroom, sure enough, we could see the water level had fallen below the pen line. To be sure, he flushed once again and we stood there to watch and see if the water would recede below the pen line and, yep, it did. L.J. said it was the red flapper, and you could even see how the flapper was a bit off center and not covering the hole completely. L.J. had extra flappers in his truck. The first one he tried wasn't a fit and the water level still kept receding. He tried another flapper. I was so glad it appeared it was going to be an easy fix After doing another flush with this 2nd flapper -- the water level was still dropping! Now L.J. had to look closer to see if he could tell what was happening. He ascertained that the tubing under the flapper had a small crack that was slowly draining the tank. I was disappointed that it wasn't going to be a 'quick fix' and that he would have to take so much time on the problem. But I shouldn't have been concerned! It didn't take him even 30 minutes to drain the tank, undo the bolts to the tank, remove the tank, put in a new draining tube, shorten the arm, reattach the tank and whatever else was required. He said the tools make all the difference. L.J. had the tools to get the job done and done right. Yay, again! I was VERY pleased with this plumber's services and will not hesitate in the least to use him again and to recommend him to others! He had a good 'bedside manner', was gracious to my elderly mother, was quick and efficient, cleaned up well after himself, didn't act condescending (as I have experienced before with repairmen) or irritated about my questions or about me standing by as he worked. He explained what he was doing and why he was doing it. I will definitely be using this company if I have need of further plumbing services.

LJ called as soon as he was free and worked with me to organize a suitable time for Kyle to come and quote. Kyle was prompt, professional and informed us of what needed to be done. Repair was done in a timely fashion and we couldn't be happier. I would definitely hire KC Metro again.
