He came in here with another guy to replace our facet, and they ended up taking an hour and a half to put it in. The owner went out and replaced all sort of things without me asking and ended up charging me $281 more than the $99 deal that I bought. This guy is a crook.

He was able to fit us in earlier than we had talked about so he called the house to let us know he was available which was great . He arrived on time, and was quick, efficient and courteous. That is all you could ask for.

They did an excellent job...I was very happy I had them do the work...I have asked them to give me estimates on future work that needs to be done...Thank you for a great recommendation...

It went great. LJ returned my phone calls and emails promptly when I had questions. He was able to do the work for me on a Saturday about a week after the quote (which was lucky). LJ showed up on time and completed the job in about six hours. He noticed an issue with the water turn-off toilet valve as he had to pull the toilet for the job and called me and asked if I wanted him to replace it for $35 (this is included in the total above). He did superior plumbing work in the wall for the fixtures and in the basement cutting into the original pipework. I have had friends and family in the plumbing business in the past and I know when I tell you he did a beautiful job on the plumbing. I had to leave him alone in my house for the majority of the job and he was great about calling me and asking what he should do about locking doors and such when he went to grab lunch and then leave at the end of the job. I have already told him that I will be giving him a call in the fall when I start working on my kitchen.

Overall, the experience was good, but there were some bumps in the road, starting with the prepaid labor on Angie's List: The lead in was $99 for two hours labor, so I signed up through Angie's List. Once payment was processed, I figured there would be a certificate to submit to the plumber, but I ended printing out a receipt and submitting. Additionally, I have noticed some offers include 'fine print', which would have provided clarification. See below: Plumber arrived with assistant on time and I showed him origin of leak. I figured with two hours, I might have some extra time, so I had him also install a PRV, which he said also required a side tank for the water heater. He said they would be done in about two hours. He gave an estimate on parts off the top of his head and I told him that was agreeable. After a little over two hours, all problems were fixed. They also discovered a second leak and fixed that as well. When the plumber returned, he began tapping on his smart phone and e-mailed me an invoice, which did not throughly detail the job. I don't need to know the price of every washer, but a breakdown of parts and labor isn't much of a stretch. Perhaps if he gets an app for the smart phone, that will be an option. When he told me the price, it was about $200 more than I was expecting. The reason being, he and his assistant counted as two man hours per hour, not one as I had assumed. In no small part, it was my bad. Saturday morning, I'm not thinking super clearly, and I should have asked how the labor broke down for clarification (this would also have been helpful in Angie's list ad). The work was good. I give him an A for all work done. My big gripe is not getting a written estimate. Being a homeowner of over 12 years, I should not assume I know totals. The paperless age may be on us, but having some kind of written or e-mailed estimate would have made this a more pleasant experience. Postsctipt: One more thing about the Angie's List 'Groupon': Angie's List customer service needs to have some weekend support in case there are inquiries about purchase issues. As was, the plumber was very helpful about the prepaid labor.

LJ and his assistant were both prompt and polite. They ran into unexpected issues once they did the first pass through the main line and discovered that the original clean out was used to plumb in the downstairs toilet. They installed a new clean out and snaked the main line again. This took care of the tree roots and everything is back up and operating.

Was scheduled to come by the house at the end of the week after the first initial call earlier in the week. Fixed both faucets promptly. One of the faucets continued to leak after the initial job was finished. So, I called LJ to come back for further repair. He promptly returned my call for a reschedule time to come back once he was in the area, which happened to be on a Sunday afternoon. This was very convenient for me, since I was already home and didn't have to rearrange my work schedule for his return. Very prompt and professional. He is a very busy plumber, which is a good sign that he is widely utilized. He would not leave the job until he knew the leak would not continue. I would definitely use LJ in the future if any need arises. A definite highly recommended plumber, just wish I would have got a business card from him, for future referrals. But will always know he is on Angie's List.

He was very nice and seemed to know what he is doing. He was late, but did call to tell me. Brought another guy, that i had to pay his time too, left in the middle for lunch. Came back and one of the main things that I did not have was hot water in my kitchen only. He found that is was full of lime rocks, had to cut it out, and now I have a trickle of hot water. I would expect full hot water. He had been here for over six hours and my bill was up to 700, so I was done. Is it me or do all plumbers seem to just charge way too much!!! He knew the hot water wasn't coming out as it should and didn't offer to make it better at another time. I believe in fixing things right and have that mentality.

I called for an estimate and he stopped by an hour later. We discussed the options for a new heater and he was knowledgable about the trade-offs. Having done some research and received other estimates, we knew LJ's quote was a good price. Since he said he could install it immediately, we took him up on the offer. He went to pick up a unit, returning a short time later. Took about 2 hours from start to finish, including picking up the unit

I purchased one of their specials ($99 for 2 hrs of labor) and am extremely satisfied with their work. I had a drain that was clogged, they were professional and did quality work. I will definitely call them for future plumbing problems. Thanks Sharon

We needed plumbing service, and we needed it right away. Calls to several others produced indifferance. Our call to K C Metro Plumbing was warmly received. Although they were busy, our need for immediate service was respected; within a couple of hours they were here. Others indicated it would take significant time to repair. K C people sorted matters much quicker. When they were through, unlike any other like service we had used previously, K C people used their vacume cleaner before leaving. We cannot rate them high enough!

They returned my initial phone very quicky. They called ahead when they were due to arrive and arrived on time. They completed the job in a timely manner. Afterward they answered my questions and adised me on two other projects.

They worked hard at replacing old fixtures. New fixtures are much more sturdy than the existing ones. They did the job right!!! They made sure everything was done to my expectations before they left. Cleaned up area before they left and explained all charges. Work was done at a fair price They also answered all of my many questions and never were irritated over all of my querries.

I called early the morning of the 27th and even though it had snowed considerably a day or two before, they came out that evening and completed the work. They were quick and courteous from the first phone call. They made sure to not track snow and mud across my floors and cleaned up thoroughly when finished. There was some confusion on pricing and the use of the Angie's List coupon when it came time for payment but overall the work was completed in a professional manner and we were happy with the service.

I noticed that the drain was backing up a few days prior and had my regular handyman come out. He couldn't fix it and recommended that we get someone out as soon as possible. The last time someone came out it was a few days before they could do it and it was rather expensive - three times the amount of what we paid this time. My husband saw this deal from Angie's List and we decided the worst that could happen was we would be out $100. The first part that was great was that they came out on a rainy Saturday night at 8pm! They calmly ignored my screaming child and got straight to work. It took about 2 hours and they cleaned the whole drain out. My only complaint was they left a small ring of sewage around the drain. It took just a few minutes to clean it up, but I wish that they had done it instead of me. Other than that minor thing, they were fantastic. Very professional.

Arrived a gate, which was not a problem. replaced the garage disposal in less than a half hour.

Company did not want to haul old tub away or install new laundry tub under Big Deal price due to time passed since first visit (new tub not available to install on original visit, as we didn't know repair part couldn't be found for old tub).

It went great overall. LJ was yet again very professional and provided high quality work. Him and his partner appeared to work diligently and did good job of explaining the scope of work. They also cleaned up well!

We called LJ early morning. He arrived midday calling ahead to see if he might come earlier which worked fine for us. He and his assistant were both personable and professional. We are very happy with their work and the fact that they cleaned up after they were done. We were given the Angie's List 10% discount.

Very good service. I had no hot water. I called LJ around 2pm on a Sunday. I had a new hot water heater installed and working within a few hours. LJ was professional and did a great job for us. We had a subsequent issue a couple of days later. I called LJ back and he was here within the hour to resolve our issues. Thanks LJ! Tony H.
