The crew did an excellent job. They were careful with everything and handled the move professionally. The furniture had been packed in crates very carefully and there was no damage.

It went great. I had an item damaged and n questions--they took care of it. Prompt, high quality, and very responsive.

I thought they were pretty good. We did not go with them as we wanted everything to be put in storage for a while and their storage fees was higher than everybody else. The moving fee was about the same.

I called for a moving estimate since he was recommended to me by the assisted living community I was moving my father to. I explained the situation to him and he quoted me a price of $350 for a 4 hour minimum and also wanted me to add more for insurance. I told him I didn't need the insurance, there was not that much to move, we were not going that far and it was already pretty well packed and ready to go. I indicated it should NOT take 4 hours. He tried to convince me that it would, and it was my perceived understanding that even if it took less time, I would still be charged for 4 hours. I decided to check around since he was trying too hard to sell me on time I knew I didn't need.

They were outstanding in every way. We could not ask for anything better!

They were professional. Their manager came out to make sure that everything going well. My overall experience with them was good.

We received other estimates that were slightly lower than Fry-Wagner's, but we were impressed with the thoroughness and knowledge of Fry-Wagner's estimator. Since we felt more comfortable with them overall, we chose them even though their estimate was higher. We had Fry-Wagner pack our breakables and some additional items that we didn't have time to pack ourselves. The packers were fast but careful, and very patient. The moving crew was friendly and easygoing, but still extremely hard-working and efficient. The driver and our move coordinator both kept in contact with us at every stage and let us know the progress of our move, which was very much appreciated. One small shelf that was separated from the CD rack that it came from (this happened long before we moved - I broke it, not the movers) didn't make it off the truck, and the driver was thoughtful enough to mail it to me after the move. That was really above and beyond. From the estimator to the moving and packing crews, everyone we dealt with at Fry-Wagner was as professional and helpful as could be. Moving across country is a stressful thing to do, but our experience was made less stressful thanks to Fry-Wagner. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again or to recommend them to others.

We were only given a few weeks notice to move and our contract stipulated that we should vacate by 5 PM on a Friday. David Bradley (relocation consultant) told me it would be a one day pack and one day load. I signed a "not to exceed" contract. Two packers arrived at 10:30 AM on Thursday morning and the driver arrived shortly thereafter to begin inventory. As the morning progressed it was clear that two packers would not be enough, and another person arrived mid-day. A fourth person arrived late in the afternoon and the pack was completed around 6:30 PM. Linda Shelley (client services) called and said the movers would arrive the next morning at 6:30 AM to begin loading the truck. The next morning, while inspecting the house and the packed boxes, I discovered the bar area in the basement had not been packed and the cabinets were full of glassware. By then it was 8:30 AM, still no movers and items left in cabinets by the packers. I called Linda Shelley, who was very helpful in getting the original packers to return and finish packing and the ETA of the driver/crew. It was never made clear to me why the two hour delay in their arrival. The movers they sent were quite elderly and struggled to keep up the pace necessary to get me out by 5 PM. At approximately 3:00 PM the driver indicated to me that his van was not large enough for all my belongings. A second van was dispatched that would take an hour to reach my home. When it arrived, it was clear this crew was not happy with the circumstances and they continued to complain to me about the movers on the first truck. They were literally throwing patio furniture, garden and garage equipment in the second truck while trying to re-tag the items and complete the inventory list. Well after my 5 PM deadline, I had one friend vacuuming the carpet, one checking the house for anything left behind while I was signing paperwork. Needless to say it was a nightmare two days. When the truck arrived at my destination, I was told my move was now a split shipment and to call Linda Shelley to find out when the second truck would arrive. There was a delay of two weeks for the second shipment. There were a number of items that were chipped, cracked, scratched or missing. I have sent in a claim for loss and damage.

They were prompt, careful & all went well as planned.

They dented the top of the washer. They opened things that were factory sealed and had not been opened yet. They was a bed set with dents and chips in it.

We used them because a friend works there. They are extremely professional. Used boxes are free and they do recycle them.

4 Fry-Wagner employees arrived on-time with 2 trucks. They had the entire house packed onto the trucks within 3 hours. On the way to the new house, they stopped at our storage facility and emptied it out, then proceed to the new house, where they unloaded everything without complaining or dawdling around. Our new house has lots of stairs, there are over 25 stairs to be climbed to get from the driveway to the master bedroom. They did an excellent job on moving the heavy items without damaging either the furniture of the walls of the house.

Great Work!!! The crew arrived on time, were friendly, worked hard. The cost was exactly on the estimate. They covered all the hardwood floors and were so careful with our belongings. I would definitely use again!

THE MOVING MEN AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT PERSONNEL MADE NUMEROUS MISTAKES. IT WAS IF THEY HAD JUST STARTED THEIR BUSINESS. FORTUNATELY, ALL TURNED OUT WELL IN THE END, BUT AT TIMES IT WAS A COMEDY OF ERRORS.

MR. BANDELL WHO CAME OUT TO GIVE THE ESTIMATE WAS PROFESSIONAL AND INFORMATIVE. HE DELIVERED BOXES AND SUPPLIES AS AGREED AND FOLLOWED-UP WHEN NECESSARY, EXCEPT FOR FAILING TO RETURN ONE OF MY TELEPHONE CALLS. HE ESTIMATED THAT THE MOVE WOULD TAKE AROUND 7 HOURS, BUT ASSURED ME THAT THEY WOULD MOST LIKELY BE DONE MUCH QUICKER. THE 3 MOVERS WHO CAME WERE NOT AS PROFESSIONAL AND KEPT FIGHTING AMONGST THEMSELVES, TAKING LONGER THAN NEEDED SMOKING BREAK AND A LONG LUNCH BREAK. AS A RESULT, THE MOVE TOOK 7 1/2 HOURS, THE FURNITURE DID NOT GET REASSEMBLED PROPERLY AND THEY FORGOT TO PUT THINGS BACK TOGETHER AS NEEDED. MANY PIECES WERE DAMAGED. WALLS WERE DAMAGED ALSO. A DISAPPOINTMENT CONSIDERING THE HIGH PRICE ($102/HOUR) AND SOLID REPUTATION OF THE COMPANY. THEY ARE WORKING ON FIXING THE FURNITURE AND THE WALLS.

THE MOVE ESTIMATOR WAS POLITE, VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND EFFICIENT. HE PROVIDED RELEVANT AND VALUABLE INFORMATION ABOUT DETAILS OF THE MOVE. MOVING COORDINATOR KEPT ME INFORMED OF SCHEDULE. MOVING CREW ARRIVED ON TIME AND WORKED EFFICIENTLY AND EFFECTIVELY TO PREPARE STAIRWELLS, CARPETS, AND EXITS FOR MOVING LARGE ITEMS. CREW CHIEF KEPT ME WELL-INFORMED THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS AND TOOK CARE TO POINT OUT PRE-EXISTING DAMAGE. BOTH INEXPENSIVE AND VALUABLE ITEMS WERE HANDLED WITH CARE. DESPITE A BREAK FOR LUNCH THE MOVE OF 10 MILES WAS COMPLETED BY EARLY AFTERNOON. THE NEW RESIDENCE WAS SIMILARLY PREPARED FOR MOVING ITEMS IN AND ALL ITEMS WERE PLACED WHERE I WANTED THEM. THE ONLY DAMAGE WAS A SMALL CRACK TO THE INSIDE PLASTIC LINER OF A LAMPSHADE -- INSIGNIFICANT. BEST OF ALL, THE FINAL COST OF THE MOVE CAME IN $400 UNDER ESTIMATE, EVEN THOUGH THE CREW PERFORMED ADDITIONAL PACKING OF ITEMS NOT COVERED BY THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE. OVERALL, A GREAT JOB.

LOOKED THROUGH EVERY ROOM AND GAVE ADVICE AS TO WHAT WAS BEST TO DO. VERY THOROUGH WITH OPTIONS.

FIRST, ALL THE FURNITURE ARRIVED IN KANSAS CITY WITH NO DAMAGE. SECOND, I WAS IMPRESSED BY THE PROFESSIONALISM AND SPEED OF THEIR SERVICE. THIRD, THEY WERE PATIENT. DAYS BEFORE THE ACTUAL MOVE, I CHANGED MY MIND SEVERAL TIMES ON WHAT I WANTED TO SHIP. THE CONTACT AT FRY-WAGNER WAS VERY UNDERSTANDING.

TOP NOTCH, PROFESSIONAL AND TRUSTWORTHY MOVING COMPANY. THEY TOOK GREAT CARE OF US AS WELL AS OUR BELONGINGS. I WOULD DEFINITELY USE THEM AGAIN.
