Most agents are dishonest but not Doug. We knew what we wanted to sell it at and the reason that it should sell and he went along. Once the right buyer cam along we sold - overall it could not have been faster. Not sure when it on the market in March but it was sold and paid for by April 27th!

I contracted with Doug Mitts of Keller Williams Realty to sell my house. I had already moved out of state (although I returned to the house with some frequency); thus a number of details associated with the selling had to be handled by means other than my direct involvement. Doug...and other representatives of Keller Wiliams...were helpful, conscientious, thorough, and very pleasant throughout the transaction. In addition to the routines of sale...pricing, marketing, showing, closing...Doug assisted with managing contractors engaged in preparing the house for sale; solving problems with my alarm system occasioned by visitors unfamiliar with it; storing family memorabilia which I had missed until I had the opportunity to look through it, and (of particular importance) handling almost all of the routine closing tasks with email and electronic signature so I could review and sign in absentia. In fact I was in the Middle East during the closing process and, other than a brief panic occasioned by a financing company's requirement for physical rather than electronic signature, the process was smooth and pain-free. I recommend Doug and Keller-Williams enthusiastically and without qualification. (Note: my "c" ranking for pricing simply reflects that KW charges the standard 6% commission).

Doug Mitts came highly recommended by a close friend of ours who had recently purchased his first home with Doug’s assistance. As first-time home buyers ourselves, we decided to set up an initial meet and greet with Doug at his office where he explained the home buying process to us and we described to him what we were looking for in a house. Following this meeting, Doug set up several automatic e-mails based on our search criteria. These e-mails gave us immediate notification of new houses on the market, then we would indicate which ones we were interested in viewing. Doug was always willing to show us any and all of the houses we were interested in at the times that best fit our schedule (nights, weekends, etc.). As other reviews have mentioned, Doug used to be an appraiser which is a huge advantage he offers as a real estate agent. When you walk into a house he is looking at the structure and the house from an investment perspective. He does not fill you with “fluff” about pretty colors, etc. He is real with you and will not let you buy anything that he does not feel completely comfortable with. As first-time home buyers, we appreciated his honest feedback and always felt that he truly cared about our well-being and future. We found a HUD foreclosure (which is typically a painful process for realtors), but Doug and team (Lori) assisted us through the entire process answering questions, continually following up with HUD and standing by us the whole time. Needless to say we found an amazing house, but more importantly we found a real estate agent and friend for life! Thanks Doug and Lori for all of your hard work!

It could not have gone better. Doug is a genuinely nice person as well as being extremely good at his job. He is both professional and reliable, in addition to being a certified appraiser so he has an extremely good feel for values and pricing. I needed to buy somewhere to live in a short space of time. Doug was very quick with responses, flexible with his time, and helpful with his knowledge. I then had to leave the country, and basically left Doug with the instructions to buy the house for me. Now, this was not done through desperation or carelessness, but through the knowledge that I could not be leaving things in better hands. Doug's expertise helped us find a home that met all our needs at a good price. He deftly handled a rather lengthy offer negotiation and repair negotiation. I was thrilled to get an offer within a time frame that I considered short. Doug helped interpret the offer and then walked me through the inspection and follow-up. During the closing, I enjoyed working with Stephanie Medley at Chicago Title, as she is a good communicator as well. Overall, Doug and his team took care of me every step of the way. Can't say enough good things about his professionalism!

Doug is amazing! I live in CA and hired him before I met him because of the reviews on Angie's list. I needed a lot of help above and beyond what realtors normally do since the house was vacant and I was 1500 miles away. He let in the workers I needed and gave me referrals, whatever was necessary. Closed as scheduled. Plus he's just a really nice guy. You will not regret going with him!

We selected Doug after reading countless reviews on Angie's list, Zillow, Truila, etc. about how dedicated, professional and responsive Doug is. All of the positive reviews are 100% accurate. Doug is an excellent agent. He met with us ahead of putting our house on the market, set us up with his stager for a few additional suggestions before we put the house on the market, had his professional photographer take amazing pictures and most importantly, he helped us set a selling price that was good for us, and good for the market. We were very blessed to be selling a beautiful home in a great area. Our home had 5 offers on the first day on the market. Doug was working at 10:30pm at night (the same day it went on sale) to send us all the offers with his observations noted for each. After careful review and consideration of all the offers, we chose an offer and the house was sold in the first 24 hours on the market. Doug and Lori worked as a fantastic team during the listing and sale of my house. Doug was completely honest and knowledgeable in discussing the potential market, the good points and not so great points of the house, recommended a good target price, and even helped secure a fast and inexpensive tradesman for a quick update that made a HUGE difference in the first impression of the house. Once under contract (16 days later), Doug's value to me was even further realized as we worked through a difficult negotiation with calmness (on Doug's side), and patience (also on Doug's side). I cannot say enough good about my experience with Doug and the staff at Keller Williams. This was the second house that I have sold within the past 8 years. The first experience was horrible - extremely stressful when dealing with a difficult buyer as well as an agent that did not give me the impression that they were on my side at all. Not only has he been a realtor for many years, he was an appraiser as well which gives him insight and a keen eye that you simply can't get with other realtors. We looked at house for a couple months and approximately 20 houses. Doug gave us his honest opinion on the value of the house we were looking and whether it was a reasonable deal.

From the starting gate, Doug made me feel like I wasn't alone in the endeavor. He took extra measures to ensure every step was as painless as possible. Every house selling experience is unique and his skills/knowledge of the field shine through with the way he handles every phase of the selling process. To top that off, he is a considerate, polite, easy to work with person. I will definitely use his expertise again in the future if I am ever in the position of selling another home. -He is attentive to every aspect of selling your home. He even rolled up his sleeves and attended to a minor issue I had to fix. -He communicates well. He stays in touch, keeps you up-to-date, and is quick to reply to your calls, texts, and emails. -He is a great manager. From the first day on the job he is a hands-on real estate agent. Some real estate agents talk big and then do not follow through once you sign on with them, but Doug is attentive to the details and makes sure every aspect big and small is met, focused on, and completed thoroughly.

I cannot say enough good things about Doug Mitts! Buying and selling a home is a stressful time and he made it as painless as possible. I feel he always had my back and made sure I always got the best deal possible. I relied heavily on his knowledge of real estate and he was always professional, punctual, reliable and super easy to talk to. Although always professional, I felt he was a friend and an ally throughout the process. He always answered my questions patiently and I had many!
