It could not have gone better. I was a mortgage lender & Real Estate agent for 30 years. I in all those years have never gotten this kind of service from a Real Estate agent. Doug & his team were always responsive within a 2 hour period. They have a great software system that advises you of any and all progress during the selling & escrow period, so I never had to call to find out the what was happening. Doug also handled all of the vendors needed to get our home ready for sale. It was so helpful, since we live in California & the property was in Kansas. All of the vendors were professional & the work they did was excellent. The listing went into the MLS on Friday at noon. It was shown 20 times & we had an offer $6,000 over asking Friday night. We own several more properties, that we are planning on selling in the next few years. We would not even think about hiring The Doug Mitts team to sell our homes.

We really enjoyed our experience with Kevin and the Mitts Team. The one time Kevin was unavailable for a last minute showing we requested he was able to have another agent (Lori) come show us the home. In a market moving as fast as things are this was a huge help because one days difference could mean missing out on your dream home. Kevin was patient and spent a lot of time helping us narrow down the different areas and styles of homes we were looking at to find the perfect one. We were very happy with our experience.

Doug and his team were top notch from start to finish. Their team was in constant communication with me about every phase of selling my home. We also used a stager that works with the MItts' team and I firmly believe this was another reason my home sold so quickly (was under contract in one day) Doug's market knowledge and awareness also resulted in an increase in list price of over $8,000 from what I went in to the sale expecting. I cannot recommend Doug and his team enough. I put my truxt in Doug and his team, I listened to and heeded their advice. My result was what I described above; a quick sale at a list price that was higher than anticipated but also based on knowledge and experience. I mention this last part because if you hire Doug to sell your home (which you should) listen to the advice you get, is spot on.

They used a standard percentage. He went above and beyond what we would expect a realtor to do. They even helped us clean the house. He did a lot of working around with our schedule. He was excellent in trying to find buyers for us. We had 3 offers in 2 weeks.

Great! We had a signed contract on our house within 4 days of putting our house on the market. Contract was for more than our asking price so we were very pleased. I researched quite a few realtors and chose Doug for an in-home consult based on his website and ratings. We had a good feeling with Doug right away. He is very experienced at what he does and that is clear just by talking with him. He is well-versed on what little things to look for in a home and details about different areas of the city. He was also 100% flexible with our schedule. Because we didn't live in KC while we were hunting we could only do anything on the weekend or in the evening, but that was never a problem for Doug. There were even a couple points where we needed to go by the house on short notice but he always worked hard to find time for us. He also gave us his cell phone number and would always text back immediately when we had a question. The process of finding a home actually went much more smoothly than we expected. We had been looking the previous year but eventually took a break after months of frustration. When we decided to start looking again we expected to buckle in for more of the same. Doug is not only professional and experienced, but also kind, helpful and giving. He has an amazing eye for details--pointing out potential problems in homes as well as noting which homes are impeccably well kept. I completely trust his assessment on whether a home is a good buy for the money or not. After one visit with us looking at houses that we'd picked out on the Internet for ourselves (all of which were all wrong) he had such a good idea of what we were really looking for that he was able to redirect us toward houses that were more in the ballpark of what we actually wanted. Life transitions are very difficult especially when it includes the memories of living in a home for almost 50 years. Selling this home was going to be very emotional for our family. Plus the house was older and in need of updating which made us anxious. You need someone who you can trust to guide your through the process. We had used the Mitts team in the past to sell a home and were very comfortably that they were the right team for us to work with. From the outset, Doug and Lori's professionalism and patience provided us strength during the process. Doug provided a thorough review of the market in our area and recommended a price for sale. He evaluated upgrades to the home that would make it more marketable. After reviewing the options, we were very comfortable with the strategy that Doug recommended. The Mitts team recommended doing a few improvements. In one example, the stovetop oven's color clashed with the remainder of the kitchen. Doug recommended that we replace it with a different color oven and helped us find a very economical way to do so. It is interesting how one change can really make a difference. The kitchen went from being "ok" to "very nice". We had many people complement how nice the kitchen was even though it had been remodeled almost 20 years previously. At one point, there was a discussion about refinishing the hardware floors. We needed to understand the cost. Without hesitation, the Mitts team had someone out the next day so that we could evaluate the cost of finishing the floors.
