Description of Work: When I first placed the order it said I would hear from the company within 48 hours. I never heard anything and had to contact Angie's List. I' later heard from the company and was asked to provide three possible dates for them to come and perform the service. I received no response to the three dates which are all at the end of August I received an email later on where they asked if September 3 between nine and 930 was okay I responded that it was. I made arrangements to be home and by 9:30 no one had showed. I checked my email and had received an email at 11:30 PM on going to saying no one was coming the next day as whoever was supposed to perform the job wasn't feeling well. That was when I cancel on as I didn't feel it was very professional nor can I trust that they were actually ever going to show up.

She was a wonderful help the entire way. She gave me great ideas, not only for paint color, but for updating pieces and how to use them in the new house. She also gave me ideas for what needs to be done to put my current home on the market. She is very friendly and easy to talk to. She definitely put my mind at ease when it came to dealing with the interior spaces in this new house. I look forward to working with her again as this project continues.
Description of Work: I asked Cynthia to help me pick out paint colors for my new home.

Description of Work: We had Cythia help us in our home years ago. We have enjoyed the things she did at that time. We received many compliments on our home,thanks to her, since that time. When we decided to make big changes this year, we called her again. She is receptive to our ideas while at the same time, giving guidance to making beautiful changes. She leads us in the right direction for changing colors, moving furniture and art, and going shopping for the new pieces we need. She is lovely to work with! We highly reccomend her!

+ -1 moreCynthia arrived a little early and what a wonderful personality she had! I showed her around our home, taking her to the rooms I wanted pictures hung in. She went right to work and always asked our opinion on different lay out/grouping options before any nail went into the wall. I even had frames that I didn't have family pictures in yet, and Cynthia went ahead and hung them so they're ready! I also took her into my office because I was so overwhelmed with the set up I had and she told me how to arrange it so I would have more room and more light in the room! I was thrilled with that and will be re-doing my office soon! I really can't say enough good about Cynthia!! I am beyond pleased!!
Description of Work: We moved into a new home and I needed advice on where to hang pictures. I told Cynthia that I already had some pictures, but I was willing to shop for something different and/or additional ones if need be. I was really open to advice and just wanted someone who could look at them and look at our lay out and know right where to hang them. Cynthia was amazing!!! She used what we had and we love what she did!

+ -1 moreUnlike most designers who earn their money by selling expensive items to their clients, Cynthia does not sell furniture, window treatments, etc. and has no incentive to encourage her clients to spend more. Clients pay for her ideas and expertise, and she has terrific ideas which can maximize results while saving money. Just one of Cynthia's recommendations saved me far more than I spent for her one hour consultation.
Description of Work: We are in the beginning stages of updating our 20+ year old house and I purchased one of the Angie's Big Deals with Cynthia to get some ideas of colors, etc. Cynthia was prompt, professional, and energetic. She gave me some fabulous ideas which were extremely low cost (some of which I already have done with terrific results!) and gave me the names of recommended individuals and companies for additional work we are considering. She was so efficient with her ideas and recommendations that she had some time left over and came up with a new configuration for our family room furniture which has opened up the space and which we are really enjoying.

Description of Work: We hired Cynthia to help us arrange a playroom in the basement and our living room. She was very efficient and even helped us move our giagantic sofa. Both spaces felt much more relaxed after she was there and definietly much more organized.

+ -1 moreI was very happy with her. She came on time and was professional. I paid for an hour, but she was done in a half hour. She started moving furniture and stuff after that. She was very ambitious. I had a coupon. It was worth it, even though it was a lot of money. Her pricing was ok. She just kept working. She did some nice things for my rooms that made them look better. She was willing to move furniture.

+ -1 moreI was thrilled! Cynthia is wonderful! She came right on time with a huge smile on her face. I had never worked with a "decorator/interior designer" before. I was not sure how it would go. I was willing to buy some things, but really wanted to use what we had. Cynthia took our lviing room and in an hour and a half made it a much more welcoming room with what we had in our home. She gave me suggestions for the future if we wanted to. I was so happy! I love being in the room now and keep going in to see it. I will continue to use Cyntia to help with other projects. She is so warm and down to earth. She is also great at not trying to spend your money. I would recommend to anyone!

She had some suggestions of her own, and always asked me to come look at her alternatives before proceeding. She got the job done in one hour. She charges $80 per hour.

Description of Work: Cynthia helped me with color, style, scale, furniture placement and accessories decor to tie into a balanced look. After recently moving from an apartment to a home, I struggled with transferring furnishings and decor from one setting to the other. Cynthia advised I use the ''48 hour'' rule, wait 48 hours to see if I wanted to change anything after we completed the redesign. She would also have hung my pictures and decorations, but I opted to hang them (with my husband's assistance) after the 48 hours was up to be sure of my final decision.

SHE QUICKLY GOT TO BUSINESS TOSSING OUT IDEAS FOR REARRANGING AND INVOLVED BOTH ME AND MY HUSBAND IN THE DECISIONS. SHE WORKED VERY QUICKLY; MOVING THE FURNITURE HERSELF. SHE DID LET MY HUSBAND HELP MOVE SOME VERY HEAVY ITEMS. BEST OF ALL, PART OF HER SERVICE IS THEY LEAVE THE ROOMS ''FINISHED'', SO SHE PUT UP EVERY PICTURE AND REARRANGED ACCESSORIES. WE HAD DOWNSIZED, AND SHE WAS ABLE TO SEE HOW TO USE SOME OF OUR FAVORITE PIECES IN DIFFERENT SETTINGS THAN WE'D USED THEM BEFORE. SHE WAS A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH AND WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS.

SHE MOVED OUR THINGS (KNICK-KNACKS, PICTURES, FURNITURE) SO THAT THEIR NEW PLACEMENT LOOKED SO GOOD. SHE WAS VERY NICE & DIDN'T MAKE ME FEEL ASHAMED THAT I COULDN'T DECORATE NICE. SHE WOULD ALSO ASK ME IF I WOULD LIKE THINGS IN A CERTAIN AREA TO BE SURE I WAS HAPPY WITH IT. IT WAS A FUN THING TO DO. SHE WAS ON TIME, VERY NICE, & I THINK THE MONEY WAS WELL SPENT.
