She was very kind and pleasant and it seemed more of a hobby than a profession.

I hired Cynthia to help me choose colors for our remodeled home. She brought a few color and hardwood floor stain samples to look at. When I asked her for suggestions, she always asked me what I thought rather than offering her own ideas. My expectation was for her to provide a few whole-house options and let me choose from those. That didn't happen. I later spoke with a Sherwin Williams consultant for 90 minutes and found the help I needed for free.

When my husband saw the house after her visit, he said "if she would have charged 5x as much, would have still been worth it"! Cynthia has an energetic personality, a great eye, and was able to help me make final decisions with several home design projects. Going to have her come out again after we paint to help arrange art work!

Her name was Cynthia Grant. It was fine; it was good. She had excellent suggestions based on the existing furniture and themes of the house.

Both of our encounters with Cynthia Grant went very well; she provided suggestions that were in our tastes, and taught us several rules of thumb about decorating. Cynthia moved a couple of pieces of furniture to make the flow of the room better. She stylishly arranged the small art pieces and mementos in our glass-front cabinet. She also edited our some decorative items that were "too much". That is not to say that she forced any move or change on us- her ideas were presented as suggestions that we could agree with or not. She was complimentary about the furniture we now have and not a bit dismissive of our tastes. We would definitely use her again for making over a room using the furniture we now have.

I had been stuck with what to do with my living room for a year. Cynthia came in and in an hour we had a plan for my living and dining rooms, with time to spare. I've never worked with a decorator before, and she was great. I'm excited to put into place the suggestions she made about paint color and wall decor--I know when it is done, it will look great, thanks to her. Will use her again for sure!

She listened to what we wanted and offered sugestions. also picket out paint colors.

We have only worked with a few designers briefly before, but it was never a good experience as they have always been about up-selling and trying to get us to buy thousands of dollars worth of furniture. We appreciated Cynthia's thoughtfulness in using pieces we already have and re-purposing some of them. My wife commented later last night that "that was the best $100.00 we have ever spent."

Cynthia did an excellent job of suggesting colors, materials, etc. to redecorate, remodel, and update a home built in 1976. I like the fact that she would offer less costly options when possible, like using the furniture and art work we already have. She also recommended contractors, but I never felt forced to use them. She was very down-to-earth and helpful. The house needs a lot of updating and she helped put it into perspective so all that needs to be done does not seem as overwhelming. She also left me with color and material samples.

It was really fun to have someone come in and look at the things I had a see them and their arrangement in a totally different way. Will definetely do it again one day and would recommend others to do it as it just gives you an uplift.

The provider was excellent, well worth it, I would call her back any day I need more suggestions and guidance with color of paint and decorating ideas. I've had decorators come to the house before but she topped the others.

I bought this house and this is the first house I've ever lived in that I couldn't figure out how to arrange furniture and pictures on walls and she was very helpful and personable. She had quite a good experience. For what she did, the price was very reasonable.

I was in the midst of a room makeover and was having trouble making a decision on paint color. She brought in several samples and we discussed options. She had some good ideas but I wasn't entirely convinced of the color. During her time there she also rearranged my bookshelves in my family room. That alone was well worth the price, loved what she did with my exisiting things. She also made some suggestions for furniture placement.

I am sooooo glad we found Cynthia on Angie's list. She was a HUGE help. She was efficient without being pushy, very friendly and very easy to work with. As she left, she even told us to call if there was anything we wanted to discuss further with her. (That's what I call service.......going that one extra step for the client.) I would recommend her to anyone looking for decorating/design services.

FANTASTIC - wish we would have found her years ago. Cynthia is prompt, professional, enthusiastic, and really fun to work with. Finding her and using her expert advise was one of the best things we could have ever done.

Because the consultation did not take the full hour, she asked if there was anything else I could use help with in other rooms so we looked at various placements for pictures that I had stored in the closet. She is also really nice about taking questions over the phone...She always calls back...She is a real pleasure! It's money well spent, and we will definitely use her again.

Cynthia is a delightful person and is excellent at her job of "ReDesigner" and "Room Makeovers"! I had a number of areas in my home that I needed help with. I was impressed by the reviews on Angie's list, and the fact that Cynthia replied and thanked each reviewer. I liked the idea that she worked with what the client already has, rather than recommending costly new items.My main objective was to get advice on paint colors and new carpet for stairs, upstairs hall and bedrooms. Cynthia was so informative on carpet types and colors. Prior to her visit I was feeling overwhelmed at all the choices. Now, I have direction and focus in choosing carpet. Secondly, I wanted to have an "very pink" upstairs room repainted. She gave me a choice of 3 neutral gray- toned colors that would work well with the quilt on the bed, and would also allow me to further accessorize; and answered my questions about painting doors and trim.I also wanted her opinion about removing wallpaper and painting the bathroom. I pointed out the vanity, which I thought would need to be replaced. Cynthia encouraged me to work with the current vanity, by applying a product that paints sinks. She has used it herself with great results. I was not satisfied with the way I had my living room arranged. Cynthia assessed and then rearranged the room. She also hung some framed prints I had purchased a few months ago. I love what she did! It looks like a new room. I am amazed at what she accomplished in one hour, and at what I learned from her.I highly recommend Cynthia Grant. Thank you, Cynthia.

Cynthia came to my house initially for an hour consultation on redesigning rooms based on the furnishings and accessories I have and to help me select paint colors for upstairs rooms. I wanted someone who would provide design advice on an hourly basis and I liked the idea of using what I have. In the living room she suggested moving a mirror above the fireplace to an opposite wall and placing the painting on that wall above the fireplace. I was pleased with the resulting look. Books and accessories on shelves were rearranged. We walked through each room of the house and Cynthia invited any questions I had. In the downstairs bedroom she proposed painting a headboard and an older pine chest of drawers. Even though she is primarily a designer, Cynthia offered to do the painting and gave me a price for the two upstairs, the two downstairs rooms, and furniture. I wanted to use green upstairs but hadn't found the right shade. Cynthia recommended a soft pleasing green she had used before. The color turned out to be just right, even complementing the green tile in my 1950's upstairs bathroom. In one of the downstairs rooms we were able to use a color I had left from painting the upper part of the dining room a couple years ago. Cynthia worked quietly, skilfully and swiftly when painting. I hardly knew she was there. The new wall colors have transformed rooms in my house. I was impressed with Cynthia's creativity-- her ability to save the customer time and money by reusing what you have, and her talent for transforming rooms with the right wall color. She is resourceful and clever; I would use her again.

Cynthia, simply put, is amazing! My family and I are getting ready to move into a new home, and are currently living in a rental home, while we get our new home ready. Cynthia was prompt, on-time, and was wonderful throughout our entire two-hour meeting. She came to our current rental to see the existing furniture we have and then followed me to our new house, a few miles away. She gave me several great suggestions on styles and colors of furniture, furniture placement throughout the home and paint color options for my children's rooms, their shared bathroom and our guest room. My family and I were having such a difficult time trying to figure out all of these options on our own, and Cynthia truly chose the PERFECT colors, furniture ideas and furniture placements for our home, and did it all with ease. Her knowledge, wisdom and experience was invaluable! She even provided me with some great suggestions for places to purchase certain items, at no benefit to her (she does not receive any benefit or compensation for suggesting retailers). She truly was a pleasure to work with, and I would highly recommend her to anyone needing design help!
