I called Artisan Floor Company and was able to meet with Duane, the owner, within one day, despite a horrible icestorm. He provided a competitive bid within 2 days and was willing to work throughout the Christmas holidays to meet my short deadline. In less than a week the hardwood floors in my historic home were expertly refinished (3 layers) with amazing results - much better than I expected. Throughout the work the owner and his co-worker were courteous, patient, and professional. I watched their attention to detail, hand-sanding spots with care to ensure an even finish. Despite the heavy snowfall and poor weather, they put in the needed time to complete the work by deadline.

I was weary about having this done, from all the things I've heard before (the smell and cleanup afterwords) I didnt expect to be able to stay in the house. Duane was a perfectionist! From being on time to working around our shedule. Dust wasnt an issue! And the waterbase finish they used left NO odor! They were a pleasure to work with. Im telling all of my neighbors!

Duane was knowledgeable and straight forward. He was quick to notify us when a potential problem arose and offered possible solutions. Overall he was great to work with.

I have already submitted my original review. I just wanted to re-submit this follow up. Around December we noticed on of the planks he installed was sticking up off the floor (enough to trip over). I called and e-mailed a few times. I sent pictures in another e-mail at Glen's wife's request. Glen's wife said it would probably just need a few nails or whatever. I have yet to get it taken care of. It just seemed like they were willing to "make it right"....but once they got paid they weren't willing to come and do a small touch up. We didn't even get far enough to discuss payment. I would have paid a small amount for them to come out and fix it, although I don't feel like I should have. Again, this was a plank he installed as a replacement for a damaged one and I don't believe it was properly secured in place...or maybe it was and after the weather began to change it just needed a little more to keep it secure.

I was in the market to have my hardwood floors refinished and contacted a few companies in the area. All of the companies that came sent a generic sales person to bid the job and returned an estimate to me. When I called Artisan Floor Company, the person that came to my home was the person that was going to do the work. I was able to speak with him, ask questions, and obtain feedback. He was also able to save me quite a bit of money as he believed that my floors did not need to be re sanded and finished, but simply needed to be re coated. My hardwood floors look new again.

They are very nice and easy to work with. They were willing to do it over a period of days, because there was no way we could put all the furniture in one room. I could tell that was a nuisance to them, but they did it for me anyway. They had a really good price as well.

Glen did the work over the course of 4 days. He always arrived on schedule, explained the process and told us how to take care of the refinished floors. He did the estimate and the work himself. We plan on having him re-do the rest of the floors when it fits our budget!

Glenn and Misty were professional and personable start to finish of the project. We had moved out for the time frame of the work and received an update each day as to the progress. They finished 1 day faster than their estimate. Quality was great and results have exceeded our expectations. They cleaned up the site best they could (this is messy work) before leaving.

Glen was very accommodating in our schedule and allowed us to move the start date back a month due to other house projects. He was always on time and did a beautiful job of replacing the damaged boards, installing the thresholds, sanding and polyurethane coating the floor. It took 5 days, fortunately we were not living in the house at the time. He left the house as dust free as could be and we are so pleased with the way the floors look. We highly recommend this company and appreciate Glen and his wife Misty, who did the bid, for their great work.

Glen refinished my staircase, hallway and 3 bedrooms to match previously refinished floors. In addition, buffed and polyurethaned the kitchen and hearth room. What a professional! Glen started and finished as stated, kept me informed along the way and cleaned up once the job was complete. I am very happy with the outcome. Misty took care of all the scheduling and was always available for my questions. I would not hesitate to recommend them.

We received the estimate that included the tear out of the carpet and installation/finishing of the hardwood flooring. To save money Elite suggested that we could tear out the carpet ourselves which we did. Then they came in and installed the hardwood in about 3 days, then we were planning on going out of town the next week so we scheduled the sand and finish during that time. Glen worked with us in the planning and preparation. When we came home we were pleasantly surprised at how well it all turned out. They must have done a lot of clean up because there wasn't a lot of dust. Afterward, Glen gave us suggestions on how to finish the molding around the walls so we could save more money by doing it our selves. Elite always let us know when they would be working on the floors and what to expect through the process with continuous follow up. With in a week or so they called to follow up on our satisfaction and to answer any questions that we had.

Elite did a very professional and high quality job. They did all of the work in about a week. They showed up on time and worked the whole day or till there was no more they could do. They also did a great job communicating their time-line and the process. I was expecting to have a large mess and to be inconvenienced, but in fact they exceeded my expectations. They always cleaned up when they were done and I think they left the area cleaner than before. I always knew when they were going to be there and what they were doing. Since the work was completed we always receive compliments on how nice our floors look. I must say that Elite's goal was customer satisfaction and quality work.
