theJust moved to new home and as larger than previous rental what to purchase some family room furniture. Had an extremely helpful sales person ask questions and helped direct us. We were interested in Leather set and he explained all the differences in qualities of leather. Upon the delivery which was as scheduled the delivery staff were very polite, careful and cordial. The set is beautiful and extremely comfortable. Very pleased.
Description of Work: Purchased a flex-steel leather couch, oversized chair and hassock, and an entertainment center.

The bottom line was that Thanksgiving and then Christmas went by and no delivery of the furniture. Delivery finally came in mid-January, well after all our holiday visitors had gone home by that time.
Description of Work: Purchased a couch and loveseat (Flexsteel) from NFM in late October with their promise that it would be delivered by or before Thanksgiving.

After the installers left on July 17, 2012, we noticed some problems. The grout for the floor was different shades of gray, with some light patches, some dark patches, and some that were almost white. The grout was also not spread evenly, with several low spots. We also noticed on the shower tile that it looked like air bubbles had formed and popped, leaving holes in the grout. They were supposed to use white grout in the shower, but in the corners we found some yellow streaks. On July 18, I called and left a message on the salesperson's, Terri's, voice mail, which did no good, as she has yet to call me back. On July 19, I called and was transfered to someone that gave me a complaint number and informed me that someone would call me back in 3 to 4 days. I waited a week and no call, so I called back and was informed that my complaint had not been forwarded, and that Jessica was assigned my complaint, and she would call me within 24 hours. It has been over a month, and I still haven't heard from Jessica. On July 31, I went to their website and used the "Contact Us" feature to send an e-mail, in an attempt to get someone to contact me. I received an automated response advising that someone would call me in 48 hours. On August 2, I called and asked to speak to the store manager. I was given his voice mail and left a message. On August 4, after not hearing back from the manager, I called again. I explained the problem to Jeannette and asked to speak to someone about either getting the problem fixed or giving me a refund on the installaion costs. Jeannette informed me that Lisa was the one to authorize the refund, and she transferred me to her voice mail. I left a message. That afternoon, Tony called and said that I should have heard from the sub-contractor who did the install. I told him that no one has called me, that was why I kept calling. He said that the sub-contractor was in violation of their contract, and he would have them call me. On August 6, Lisa called and I spoke to her. I told her I wanted the problem fixed or a refund. I also informed her that she and Tony were the only ones to call me back. On August 7, Raul, from the sub-contractor, called me and left me a message, since I was not home that day. On August 8, I called Raul and made arrangements for him to come out and look at the problems. He came out at about 1pm, and I pointed out the problems to him. He told me that the floor grout needed to cure for a couple of weeks and that it would be fine. I told him it had been 3 weeks already. He then said that they would need to get some dye, to make sure that the grout was a uniform color. He said that he would need to order it, and that someone would call when it came in, and schedule a time to complete the work. On August 16, after not hearing from the sub-contractor or Nebraska Furniture Mart, I called Raul. He said that someone from Nebraska Furniture Mart was supposed to call and up-date me. He said that dye was ordered and it should be in later that day or on August 17. He said that someone from Nebraska Furniture Mart would call me on Monday and schedule a date for the repairs..It is now August 21, and still no word on when they are going to repair the damage. August 22, I called and left a message for Lisa, Customer Service Manager, and told her that I was told I would be called on August 21, Monday, and scheduled for the repair work and advised her that no one had called. Later that day, I got two calls, one from Luis and one from Jessica. Both advised me that the product to make the repairs was on a UPS truck, and it should be at their store sometime on Thursday or Friday, and I should be getting a call on Monday to schedule the repair. On Monday, August 27, Jessica called and said that they were having problems getting the correct product from their vendor, but they are supposed to be overnighting the correct item. On Tuesday, August 28, Raul called and said they had the product, repair was scheduled for Wednesday, August 29, and the people would be here between 8am and 9am. They arrived during the specified time and went to work. Before they left, they asked me to sign saying that the repair work was completed to my satisfaction, which I refused, since they said I needed to wait for everything to dry, before it would look right. Thursday, August 30, the floor grout looked worse than it did before they fixed it. They just used clear caulk to seal the holes in the shower wall, and they left black streaks in the corners. Called Nebraska Furnitur Mart. Sept. 4, Tuesday, Scott, from Mebraska Furniture Mart, came out and took photos. Sept. 7, Friday, they came out and repaired grout in the shower wall and recaulked the corners, so no more black streaks. They also used the dye on the floor grout and supposedly repaired the low spots. They said to let the dye dry for 24 hours. They did leave some grout spills on the floor in the bedroom and hallway. Sept. 8, Saturday, the dye has turned a bluish tint, when it supposed to be gray. Some the low spots are still low spots, and there are wavey lines in the low spots they tried to fix. Scott came out again and agreed that the dye did not match the color sample. They then sent out another crew that completely ripped up the tile and durorock and redid the entire floor. After the grout dried, it was still the same, as far as the color goes, ranging in places from white to light gray. On Oct. 8, they sent out a third installer. This time, the installer brought out another bag of grout, scraped off the top layer of grout and redid it. This time, they got the color right, but chipped one of the tiles when they scraped off the grout. We are tired of messing with them, so we let the chipped tile slide, since it is not noticeable. Personnally, I would not use them again for any installation work, expeciallty since it took 5 times just get the grout color correct.
Description of Work: In June 2012, my wife and I special ordered ceramic tile for the bathroom floor and shower. On July 17, 2012, the installers delivered the tile on time and began installing the tile. The installers were here from about 9am to 7pm. They did a good job keeping the mess outside, as well as putting down paper, so they wouldn't track in any dirt. They also asked questions about how we wanted the trim and bull nose pieces.

We have been to Nebraska Furniture Mart even since they opened in our city. They have a great selection with a wide range of prices. The sales staff are always helpful without being pushy. They have always been punctual with delivery and their delivery staff are great with assembling and placing the furniture exactly where I want it. To top it off, their store credit card gives you interest free financing for 18-36 months, depending on the promotion at the time of purchase.

Nebraska Furniture Mart were phenomenal. They were really fast, I came in and knew what I wanted, they went ahead and made the order for me and made sure that I receive it today. I have to wait an extra day for Sears, plus Nebraska didn't charge a shipping fee.
Description of Work: I bought a refrigerator, a freezer and got the 10 year compressor warranty for the freezer and 5 years for the refrigerator.

We were very pleased with the overall experience, the sales person (Sean) called us several times to make sure everything was going smoothly and the installer (Tim) was very professional.
Description of Work: We bought new carpet for our living room and master bedroom. The sales person was very helpful, pointing out the pros and cons of the different types of carpet. He ordered us samples. The installer was prompt and courteous, he moved the furniture, cleaned up after himself, and hauled away everything I didn't want. It was a very pleasant experience.

1. All the food in the unit went bad. They are sending a $200.00 dollar check for food loss. Remember this is a double door refrigerator with a bottom freezer. I didn't come out very good on that one.2. I contacted NFM and they were no help. They only cover their products for 30 days. 3. LG only warrantees their products for 1 year?4. It then it becomes the responsibility of the warrantee company. They have tried to correct the problem but are limited by parts availability. 5. I am still waiting for the resolution of this problem. It has now been over 3 weeks with no refrigerator. Eating out a lot because of the inconvenience. Very expensive !!!!!
Description of Work: I bought a LG double door refrigerator with a separate warrantee and it stopped working after the first year. I contacted the warrantee company who sent a serviceman out for repair but he didn't have the part needed. They had to order the part and said it would take 1 week. They called a week later and said the part was on back order and it would be another week. This is the third week and the part is not here yet. Still on back order!!!!

They have the largest selection of carpet around, their prices are not any better than anyone else's, but, they are competitive. They under promise, over deliver, they said the carpet would take 2 weeks to get in, and it was in, in 3 days.

Arriving in the section of the store for recliners, there wasn't an available sales associate. My husband had to go on a lengthy search to find someone. We did not want to spend more than $350 for a small leather rocker-recliner. I tried sitting and reclining in a number of chairs and selected a Lazy Boy. Their floor model operated satisfactorily. The sales lady then escourted us to sofas and after examining many, we settled on a faux leather because it was much more affordable. While ringing our purchases, she explained the 'wonderful' and 'peace of mind' benefits of purchasing an extended protection warranty on these items; it would cover EVERYTHING, even pet damage,she assured us. The cost of this adds approximately $130 to the sales price of both pieces. Over a 11 month period of time, when raising or lowering the recliner, a loud ratcheting sound is happening and after 9-10 months, a huge thud occurs when the footrest is lowered. We called for a service rep and he came to examine the recliner. He said he could find absolutely nothing wrong and that Lazy Boy is notorious for making such noises--it's normal! If so, why didn't the floor model sound like it was falling to pieces?The bottom line is after many phone conversations, they conclude the all-extensive warranty doesn't cover this. We asked about the fading of leather on the arms of another recliner we had purchased previously and, of course, that wouldn't be covered either (small print- they exclude body oils - who wouldn't know that?). And of course it doesn't cover pet damage either, another small print exclusion! Our experience is that the warranty NFM promotes and sells is worthless to a buyer and was definitely misrepresented by our sales lady. The end result is that we will no longer be customers of Nebraska Furniture Mart. And anyone who considers purchasing their 'wonderful' extended warranty should have an attorney and a powerful magnifying glass with them - BUYERS BEWARE at this merchant.

We had carpet replaced in our living room, up the stairs, and in the hall. They tore out the old carpet and put down new padding and carpet. We chose them because of the price. At the time they were running a 30 month no interest specail so we could spread it out over 30 months which was really convenient for us. They had a huge selection, if you can't find it there you can't find it anywhere.

I use this company all the time. I think they are a flexible organization. When we first moved here from Omaha, we were used to that huge furniture mart up here. When we first went to another place is was one of those things that you had to look everything over before you leave the store. You had to take it out of the box and it was a 15-20% restocking fee. I told my wife if Nebraska Furniture Mart ever builds a store around here they will put this company out of business, and they did. They provide a competitive price for the most part and are a customer friendly organization.

They used an outside contractor to do the actual work, which was very good. They originally did this job in September, then they had to come back a couple times to finish it. The quality was very good, but punctuality was less than perfect.
