Installation itself was very good and they finished in one day. However, my newly painted walls bear some scuff marks in all rooms. We had told the salesman and the installation crew chief BEFOREHAND that the walls were newly painted and we didn't want them damaged. We now have to have our painter come back to try to correct. The crew chief (not the installer, himself) will not return my calls.

Over all the sales staff at NFM is a little pushy. Our sales person didn't listen closely to what we wanted, and kept making suggestions that we were not interested in. Once we got her focused, we found a model we liked and made the purchase. Upon returning home, I realized the oven was not self cleaning and called the next day to cancel our first order and upgrade to the next model. The customer service was very easy, and even honored a better price that we had found at another store. The delivery was easy, but as usual they tell you they will arrive between 11 & 1 and show up at 1:30pm. They would not hook up the stove with out paying $50, so we did that ourselves.
Description of Work: Purchased new gas range/oven to be installed in home. NFM delivered new item and took away the old.

The initial delivery was made and we were missing half of the order. The delivery men were totally confused and agreed that we should have gotten everything that day. When the appliances were to be redelivered, they brought us a dented refrigerator and only offered a 10% dicount (it was also missing the ice maker). I opted for a replacement. When the third delivery was made, we were out of town and my father came over to accept the delivery. The driver "ot lost" and was six hours late. What a nightmare. The ice maker broke within a month and the furniture is not holding up well.

The sale representative was knowledgeable about the products and suggested a microwave with sensors that has been very useful.
Description of Work: Purchased stove, refrigerator, and microwave. Not only was NFM the lowest price of the stores in town, they gave us an additional discount because we were working with a contractor who was remodeling our kitchen. We set a date for delivery, but called back a month later to reschedule the delivery, due to the kitchen remodelers schedule. The staff were pleasant and rescheduled the delivery with no problem. The delivery was efficient and they took away our old appliances.

The salesman for the vinyl, the individual who came out to measure and give an estimate and then the installers themselves were all helpful, professional and timely. The finished product looks great. The only minor downside was a little cleanup of some wood splinters in the stair carpeting from subflooring being brought in and sweeping up.
Description of Work: The flooring in 2 guest baths (one with vinyl and one with carpet) was removed and replaced with Mannington vinyl flooring. Labor included pulling stools, laying subflooring, laying vinyl, installing door jams, stretching carpeting, installing new quarter rounds and sealing around tub and shower. They also removed and discarded old vinyl and carpeting. The job was done over two days taking about 6 hours.

We bought a fridge which they did not have in stock, so they set a delivery date for two weeks later when they expected it to arrive in stock, and they were not able to deliver on time, so we set up another delivery date for a week later. That delivery was successful, but the fridge did not work (which is not NFM's fault) so after several irate calls they decided to give us the floor model for a discount and have it delivered the in two days. Once we got the floor model it didn't have the ice maker installed, but the fridge worked, so we set up an ice maker installation with NFM and they only had appointments for 3 weeks later. It was way to much drama for a fridge. In summary, they couldn't deliver on time and their customer support was helpful only after we were stern with them.
Description of Work: Purchased 24 cu ft Armana Bottom Freezer refrigerator and had it delivered.

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised. I expected them to be a "big box" store without a trained staff. Their salespeople were very knowledgeable and helpful. They have a great display and lots of choices. Their prices are great and overall I was very pleased with them. They definitely know their product, and work hard to answer questions and be informative.

Arrival times as agree upon. Polite, but failed to replace a door they took off to get washer/dryer in basement. Basically just left stove in the middle of the floor, since I said I would attach the gas hose (they wanted an additional 60 dollars for this task which they said they had to charge because of insurance). After several phone calls company sent an employee out who properly placed the stove and rehung the door. While I think the prices on the appliances were pretty reasonable I think charging the customer to attach the gas line to the stove from the wall is a bit much. I do want to say that the salesman who sold me the products did call me back to make sure everything was being resolved and I found his manager to be very polite and helpful as well.

After this experience, I would never purchase from NFM again. The first order was placed in May and the final piece was received in November. The employees at NFM were very good, but the delivery service they use leaves a lot to be desired. I find it hard to believe that an outfit as large as NFM allows this type of service to go on. I was told by one of the delivery people before he realized that the furniture was damaged, "Lady, if you find anything wrong with this don't accept it. If you do, it will take forever for them to replace it!" I wisely refused delivery of all the damaged and wrong pieces. As an example, I received the right chest but it was damaged, the wrong dresser and mirror (the delivery guy told me it was the correct one and I had just forgotten what I had ordered), the correct bed but no bed frame or rails. I received a broken chest and it took 4 tries to get a ceiling fan that worked (I paid an electrician 3 visits to get it installed). BEWARE of NFM!
Description of Work: We renovated a house and purchased new furniture. All furniture purchased from NFM was ordered through the Design Center and their staff was very good. This was all special order and high end. The delivery of the furniture was a nightmare, wrong pieces sent, damaged pieces, rude delivery staff who damaged some of the furniture taking it off the truck. The morning the furniture was delivered it was raining and when I asked one of the delivery men if they were going to cover the furniture before taking it off the truck he replied "What are you trying to do Lady, kill us? YOU can wipe it off when we get it inside." After threatening to cancel the entire order and with much hard work by the Design Center staff, the correct, undamaged pieces were sent by a special crew from Omaha. Other orders from other furniture stores in town were delivered without a hitch by courteous, polite and helpful delivery teams.

SCOTT PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT THEIR WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO, AS IT WAS PRE-CUT CARPET, AND SQUARE FOOTAGE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. HE STATED THAT IT WAS MY FAULT FOR NOT HAVING THE CARPET LAID WHEN THE INSTALLERS WERE THERE.
