[Member Name Removed]'s rug had years of animals urine contamination. Upon pick up I explained to her I could not remove the dyes that had run from exposure to years of urination, that I could only clean her rug. I and my upholsterer were witnesses to it's condition. The rug was cleaned along with her other rugs to perfection but as I stated there was no way the dyes that had ran in her one rug, now cleaned and more evident, could unfortunately not be removed.

Description of Work: Thus far, we have had Tekke, Chinese, and Turkish rugs cleaned, repaired, color restored in small areas, and appraised. The cleaning has been thorough and fast. The appraisals can take up to a year, but John is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and fascinated by rugs of all kinds which makes him very good at his work so far. He has been responsive and very reasonable cost-wise. My family is very pleased and looks forward to continuing our work with him in the future.

Thank you so much [member name removed] for the wonderful compliment comment..I have finished the Other rugs that I picked up the last time I was by your home.The gold rug is a Bukhara.I have done this work for 22 years now in and in all sincerity the Bukhara is one of the most beautiful rugs I've ever seen aesthetically and its construction. I have not started on the Caucasian rug the one that was in underneath your dining room table because it needs some restoration work. I'm waiting to hear back from [member name removed] to continue . Description of Work: John picked up, cleaned, and delivered one oriental rug and another area rug that had cat urine. He double or triple washed them and got out all the smell and stains. They look beautiful. John is friendly, helpful, and meticulous. He is extremely knowledgeable about rugs and can do appraisals. It is helpful that he does not sell rugs and truly loves them. We have several oriental rugs throughout our home, and he walked through and told us something about each. He is very timely, clear about pricing, and keeps you informed throughout the process if anything needs to be discussed. Even the rug that needed extra work to remove stains was back within two weeks. He is a real gem, and we will definitely use him again. He also hand sewed a cloth tunnel to the back of a small antique kilim we had just bought in Turkey, as he convinced us it should be displayed on the wall rather than walked on. It looks just beautiful and his handwork is excellent. If Angie's List had an A+ rating, John would get this!

It goes well every week.
Description of Work: John comes weekly to clean my house. He always asks me if I have a preference for what he does that week or if there was anything I noticed I needed to talk to him about. He treats all my things with great care and is quite pleasant. He does his best to use non-toxic cleaners and does research on what would be best for each surface. I am happy to have him.
