Came to finish a furnace replacement. Explained everything to me. Great work.

They arrived on time and was reasonably priced for service I received.

Tech came in to do maintenance on water system and tank needed replaced. Parts were ordered and work done very quickly.

We have had this service done by another company but this company will be the only company we will use from now on. We had two servicemen and both were very professional and knowledgable. They arrived on time and took their time totally going through our entire system. They both showed us things about our system that no one had taken the time to show us when it was installed or since. They answered all our questions and never rushed us. They noticed a leak in one of our pipes that I know we never would have found. They tagged our shut off valves so that no matter who was home they could be found and shut off immediately. I will recommend this company to everyone and like I said before, we won't use anyone else!!

Glen was very informative and explained the problems so I could understand and then provided some discounts because I was a repeat customer.

The company came out to recharge my water softener and found a leak in the tank. they were able to replace the tank with a fiberglass tank and recharge it.

Installers wee great and friendly. professional and polite.

APW called before they came and arrived on time. He wore booties in my house to protect my carpet. He was efficient and willing to explain every question that I had. I recently had another plumbing company out and they did not repair my leak correctly under my bathroom sink. APW took one look at it and repaired it for no additional charge!! He was knowledgeable, courteous and professional. He cleaned up very well after he was done. The kind of service you remember for all the right reasons! I will recommend APW to all my friends and family! Thank you APW!

They have different teams, so I was satisfied with the team that came for my furnace. They came on time and they figured out what we needed to be fixed. I have used them twice.

APW sent a representative to our home who is a convicted thief - currently on probation for it. We now have Jewelry missing. Initially we contacted Keith (the operations manager) who told us he would do everything he could to help us. He also gave us APW?s insurance information and outlined the process we needed to follow. While we were at the AWP office, we also found out a detective in Lenexa had also recently visited the office to investigate this same AWP representative. Apparently a woman in Lenexa is also claiming this APW representative stole jewelry from her during his visit (a few days apart). After a discussion with APW?s insurance, they told us APW is not insured for employee theft ? even though APW clears states on their web site that they are bonded and insured. My wife called Dixie (owner) and Dixie clearly stated she will not pay or make us whole. A police report has been filed and a detective in Lee's Summit is investigating this APW representative. This APW representative has quite a record. I would DEFINITELY not use APW again. 5-28-15 Wanted to proivde an update. We went after both APW and the individual who stole from us in court and the individual who stole from us consented to pay us $3,800 and agreed to have this entered as a judgement. It has been over three months and we have not receievd a dime. What also came out in court is that APW admitted that they KNEW this person was a convicted thief and hired him anyway. Hence, I want to restate my original claim and amend it to read that, APW knowingly and willingly hired a convicted thief and then sent him to our house. Jewelry was then missing and the person who we accused of stealing it from us has agreed to pay us but has not. APW refuses to accept any responsibility. Bottom line: As a result of hiring APW, I am out $3,800.

Very expensive. They were very hard sell and very pushy. Never explained anything very well. We just didn't like their service at all. They don't stop calling me!

We hired them after finding them in the yellow pages. It was a small job and the cost seemed appropriate. They are a local company and we like dealing with local companies. They showed up when they were supposed to and did what they said they would. They did fine with the work.

They were excellent! One technician came to complete the work and he arrived on time. He explained things very well and how problems could be caused if a specific step was not taken and he showed me how as well. They cleaned up well after the job was complete.

It was okay. The only thing he really did was check the electrical readings. I felt it was a waste of my time. They did show up on time. He was only there about half an hour. I had no problems with the scheduling.

The work has always been satisfactory. They have always been reliable. They make a service time and they meet the service time. I have had 2 individuals from the company and they seemed highly trained, customer service-oriented, and present themselves well. They do excellent work. I will be using them again if I have any type of plumbing needs. They gave us a special discount when they installed the toilet. They have excellent pricing and I have compared them. They also called me and informed me that they were running 15 minutes late which I appreciated.

The provider replaced the toilet valve without any problem. However, the sink was replaced and has leaked ever since. They refuse to come out and correct their work. They want to charge another $79 to fix the same leak I have already paid for. I would not use them again.

Note to self - read Angie's List reviews first! We bought the hour of plumbing for $49 deal through e-Neighbors. My regular guy is $80 an hour, so I took the chance and bought 2 hours. Small leak in a copper joint and outside spigots that need to be replaced. Not intensive work. The spigots weren't the right kind my husband purchased and the ones they wanted to sell were $70 a piece- so no luck there. In the end, I am glad they didn't do more. Because he wasn't a kid and talked like he knew what he was talking about, I just tried to stay out of the way instead of supervise. My mistake. He didn't have the experience to know how to fix an elbow joint neatly and effectively and in copper. For 2 hours, he cut and cut and cut and banged and fussed and we ended up with little pieces of plastic along our copper pipes. It looks horrible. He later told me that to fix it in copper he would have to charge me for his time and supplies to go get copper from the store. uh, no, that is not how it works. After I told him how horrible it was, he called his boss and his boss offered to have him replace what he has done with copper at my expense. I asked him to just leave. He only charged me for one hour work and no charge for the plastic. Thus there are no F's in my review. I wish I could post pictures to illustrate. Maybe replacing copper with plastic is how it is done these days. But we have had lots of service done in our last house this past year and they replaced our plastic with copper. Fine jobs done by AB May and Johnson County Home Service in that house. We will be calling Anthony at Johnson County Home Service to come fix this mess. Always fast and reliable. Pricey, but as we have learned, better done right the first time. The other hour worth of work we bought from APW will just be the cost of a lesson.

I discovered there was a leak that was coming from my master bathroom. I surmised it was coming from the Jacuzzi tub because I had just used it. I contacted my home warranty company, who sent out APW. The technician called me and asked me expected questions. One question asked during the call, was the name of my husband. I am not married and told him so. At first I thought perhaps he just wanted to know if he'd be dealing with anyone else; later I wondered if he wasn't trying determine whether or not I would be an easy mark. During the first visit, the technician tried to find a place of access where he could determine the source of the leak. Admittedly, this was a challenge as the basement is partially finished and the leak occurred in over the finished area. However, during this first visit the technician commented on my hot water heating and explained how it wasn't a good hot water heater and how I should consider an at-the-source system with a water conditioner. I told him I'd look into that when it was time to replace the existing system, which was only six to seven years old, and he said that was like waiting until the breaks went out on my car. He then went on to say that hot water heaters only last about eight years and usually break and spill out into the surrounding area. He told me that if/when my hot water heater broke, it was likely to flood the entire basement because the drain wouldn't handle the output. He finally determined that he needed to cut a hole in the ceiling in below the tub to determine the source of the leak, which he did during a subsequent visit two days later. Two days later, after cutting the hole in the ceiling below the tub, the technician declared that the source of the leak was due to the fact that the tub didn't have a seal around the top. Because this wasn't a plumbing issue, it wasn't covered by the warranty. He also said he couldn't caulk around the tub, thus providing a seal, because the area was too tight. He called in a second contractor, who happened to be his father. Together they decided they needed to pull the tub and install a particular type of seal. It was possible the tub would break, so I might be looking at replacing the tub. The technician also said it was imperative, at this point in time, that I add an access panel to the front wall of the construction housing the tub and that there was a problem with how the pump's motor was grounded. Here's what he wrote: "Customer's pump motor also bonded to pex line and erroding valve. Motor needs bonded to proper grounding electrical (eligible)". I asked if the manner in which the motor was grounded was a code violation, he said "technically no". I asked if I was going to be electrocuted using the tube, again he said no. He said the fixture didn't require replacing at this time and it occurred to me later that if replacement of the fixture were required, that would fall under the home warranty and he would have to explain this to the warranty company. Bottom line: he quoted repairs of $1,700 to $2,100 to address the leak and that was providing the tub didn't break when his father pulled it. After giving this some thought, I called my uncle and asked him to caulk the tub with clear caulk. Yes, the area is very tight but he managed to do this and it looks just fine. Then, we tested a few things and my uncle looked around. Guess what! The leak was actually caused by the overflow drain, which wasn't properly attached. A trip to the hardware store and a few hours later, the leak was fixed! I have tested it many times since by using the tub, with the jets and filling tub up to the overflow drain and forcing its use . . . and there hasn't been a lead since! I've since calmed down enough to write this review and hope no one is taken in by this company in the future. They will never again be allowed to enter my home.

I bought my home in 2007. Shortly after which, I received a letter stating that my system was endanger and that my warranty would not stay intact unless I called this company to service my softener. Things were fine at first, but over the years, the company's charges became questionable and seemed rather expensive. I switched companies this year and will no longer use AmeriPure.

I had a terrible experience with this company. I tried all summer to get my problems resolved. They completely overcharged me for the services provided. I was not satisfied with their response time or their punctuality. The quality of their work was average. I would not use this company again.
