Description of Work: APW installed a Puronics water softener in my home. | |I had previously used APW to service my A/C and furnace on different occasions. Their technicians were more thorough than anyone else who has serviced my units. They were invested in me understanding how it all worked. And, they made some recommendations that made my system noticeably more efficient. | |When I decided to install a water softener, I contacted APW. While researching the Puronics system they sell, compared to other water softeners on the market, they e-mailed a copy of the owners manual to me. | |When I chose to buy the Puronics system I was satisfied that it was a good product--not the least expensive on the market, but APW was competitive with other comparable units. | |In the end, I chose to go with APW because I believe they will give me the same good service I had already experienced. | |I've had the water softener for a couple of months and it has really made a big difference.

Description of Work: They came to my house to repair the air conditioner. They told me it was a dirty air filter (which I pointed out was not so dirty the air could not get through) then spent twice as long selling me maintenance packages and replacement ductwork. The dirty filter was NOT the problem and they promised to return that afternoon. Three days later, after calling them three times (and taking off work and waiting for them to show up) I told them I did not want them to return and cancelled all future work.

Description of Work: If anyone from this company shows up at your door, don't answer. Apparently they have a contract with HWS(Home Warranty Service. Since I wasn't home the service guy told my wife the hot water heater was bad and that it would take 2wks to get a replacement installed. 2wks for a 40 minute job. But, if we went tankless it could be installed in 1wk. Salesman came by and said if I commit today, they could install it in 2 days. Unfortunately for them there is google. I found a better model from the same manufacture for $1200 less and we had hot water the next day.

 + -1 moreI have been using them for 3 years and they have been doing a good job. However, I am very unhappy with them because they are extremely non-responsive. It was very good earlier but, now the management has changed and the service is no longer very good.
