All Weather Decks

Cass, who we met with, was very professional and he was prompt to the meeting. We appreciated getting the bid and the bid came in at the time he said it would come in. We decided not to go with his bid.

Cass was responsive and finished the job when he said he would. He matched the price from another deck company. He drew out the plans and it was built exactly how we imagined it would be. Even though the owner himself did not install the deck, his workers did a fine job. After the job was done we noticed that the step corners needed to be evened up, but with a quick call to Cass and explanation, he came out the next day and made the finishing touches. We would use Cass and all weather decks again for any future deck needs.

Deck design is exquisite. Work was done on time. Carpenters were master craftsmen and paid a great deal of attention to details. Even though the deck backs up to an irregularly shaped stone wall, the deck itself left virtually no gaps for critters to hide in. Workers cleaned up thoroughly. Workers and owner cooperated fully in making slight modifications during construction. Truly, there were no negatives. I'd recommend this company to anyone. Price is competitive with other estimates I received. Did I mention that the deck is really beautiful?

When we first started looking for companies to build us a new deck we dealt with no callbacks, and companies cancelling appointments. When we started working with Cass Brinkman he was professional and on time. We narrowed it down to All Weather Decks and Cass worked with us to provide us exactly what we needed in order to get our now awesome deck. He showed up regularly to check on the progress of the job. His crew was on time and did an excellent job! My wife and I would highly recommend having Cass build your new deck!

All Weather Decks was great to work with from start to finish. Cass came out and gave a bid which was in the price range I was expecting. My deck is supported by 7 posts that had rotted underground and turns out they had not been placed properly in concrete when my house was built. The landing and stairs had started to sink really bad and was unsafe to use anymore. I was worried I would have to replace the whole deck which would cost A LOT but Cass assured me the beams could be repaired. His workers came and didn't make or leave a mess. Took about 2 days total and they came within a week of the bid which was really great! They braced and built supports for the deck, repaired the existing support posts and placed them in concrete as they should be and added 3 new support beams and joists to the main part of the deck. My deck is now level and safe to use. Cass repeatedly checked on his crew and came after the job was done and inspected and walked my husband around everything before accepting payment. Extra concrete and wood was picked up promptly the next morning after the job. Couldn't be happier!

After consulting another local company, cass was recommended to us. He came out, was well prepared for his presentation and quickly got us an estimate. I am the ultimate micromanager, and I think Cass and I worked well together to get us to an end product that I am very happy with. I would highly recommend him to friends.

We asked Cass and his team to remove our existing deck. We also asked Cass to help us with some of the design for the new deck. He brought samples of materials he offered as well as an estimate. His price was competative with others but sold us on quality and hard work. His team worked extremely hard as well as listening and answered any questions we had as the building process took place. We could not be happier with our decision to use All Weather Decks.

We are very pleased with the way this project went and the end result. All Weather Decks' owner, Cass Brinkman, showed-up promptly, looked at the job and listened to our desires. We had a narrow, broken concrete sidewalk and wanted it replaced with a sidewalk of classic red bricks with a specific patten of black bricks. The next day we were presented with a sketch of the proposed sidewalk and a bid for the project. Upon our agreement, the work began promptly and was completed in a reasonable time as weather allowed. The gentlemen who crafted our sidewalk, Alex and Cory, were respectful, tidy, and did a great job. The end result was a beautiful, personalized sidewalk of which we are very proud. To this day, about 9 months later, we continue to receive compliments from friends, relatives and passers-by.

Cass, the owner of All-Weather Decks, came promptly at the appointment time. He reviewed the project with us, answered all our questions, guided us in the choice of materials, and in the design of the deck. Most impressively, he gave us the finished price before he left. All-Weather Decks took care of all necessary negotiations with our Homes Association, and with the city, to obtain permits for enlargement of the deck. The crew showed up to work exactly as scheduled. All work was perfomed in a timely and professional manner. Cass himself followed the work on a regular basis. There was a small problem with the landscape work which we were going to overlook, however Cass called us and insisted on making it right. They repurchased the materials and redid the landscaping to our satisfaction. This company is very focused on customer service and they were professional in every sense of the word. We are thrilled with our new deck and would recommend All-Weather Decks to anyone!

Fantastic! We were extremely pleased with every step of this project...from the bidding process, to the tear down, to the construction of the new deck. The teams were very courteous, responsive and knowledgable. They used No. 1 grade lumber, cement holes exceeded code requirements, deck was constructed with screws (not nails), ledger board secured to house with bolts (not nails), carpentry work was excellent! They started the project on the date they said they would. We are very pleased with our new deck and will definitely use them again!

I can't believe this company gets rated highly on Craig's List. The initial introduction, estimate and plan went well. They forgot to call me back several times but I thought that was okay. They were back logged by 6 weeks but insisted on a 50% deposit to schedule a date. I gave them a deposit and heard nothing for 6 weeks. The day before they were scheduled to start working, I called them to find out they would be delayed by a day or two. Mid-week I called and asked why they hadn't started and I was told they outlined the stairs the evening before and were going to start that afternoon. They asked if I could leave work to check out the outline. When I got home, there was no outline. They came the following day and painted an outline. Still no word. I finally called and asked for my money back. They promised to come the following Monday. They did come on the following Monday . They poured concrete the following day and poured a foot into my driveway making parking in the driving difficult if not impossible, not following the painted outline at all. Then they wait began for the stones to be placed on the risers. We heard nothing until our neighbor knocked on our door asked why a load of rock was in his driveway blocking his car. I called and asked them to move it. They moved it into our driveway, blocking another neighbor. I called again asked to move it. Finally we had a pile of rock in our back yard with no communication when they may get around to installing. They finally showed up at night and worked and cut stone well past my children's bedtime. I had to leave the house more then once to explain they were installing stone in the wrong place. Finally the stone was in place. Then the wait began for the cleanup. After waiting several days with trash, cigarette butts and a pile of stone in our back yard I called and asked for removal. They came a couple days later and picked up the trash and covered up the stones and concrete with dirt. They called the next day insisting we interrupt our weekend to meet them to pay them when no one from the company actually ever came to inspect the work. Overall, the price was very good (3 estimates). The communication, timeliness and professionalism were atrocious. The stairs and patio look very nice, but unfortunately were poured to cover up part of our driveway which is just perplexing.

On or about June 9th I called to make an appointment to have my deck looked at. They were extremely busy and we set my appointment up for June the 24th at 3:00 pm. I scheduled a half vacation day to make sure I was there. well they called around 11:30 on the 24th & told me something came up and they would not be able able to meet with me. I set my appointment up 2 weeks in advance. Needless to say I was not happy since this cost me some of my vacation time. We set the next appointment up for the following Friday July 1st. I took a full vacation day since it was a holiday weekend. Well they called again and told me they were really sorry but they don't come out as far as my location and nobody had noticed I live in Platte City. Are you kidding me!! Platte City to Gardner is not that far. I really feel for the inconvenience they caused me and the vacation time lost, the least they could have done was to make an exception and keep the appointment.

I called several companies for estimates to power wash and seal my deck. As a comparison, a contractor from one of the companies told me he felt bad charging me $250 (standard) to do such a small deck so he would drop $50. When All Weather left their bid, it was a whopping $423!! No thanks! My deck is tiny and I would rather do it myself than pay that much!

Excellent! The sales representative provided detailed information and collaborated in the design phase of the deck. Upon the scheduled start date, the workmen cordially introduced themselves. They were adept and hard working; placed the old deck in the job site dumpster that 1st day! The supervisor provided amazingly responsive coordination for the entire project. For example, a scratched deck board was noted and the supervisor arranged immediate replacement. When the lower level was built, the supervisor helped us make a design change to attractively enclose the bottom supports portion. The workers kept the job site clean; policing the area at the end of each day. The cordial and effective work ethics of all members of this company are noteworthy. Every aspect of the project was handled to our complete satisfaction! We now have a fabulous deck that continues to earn rave reviews from our neighbors! We highly recommend All Weather Decks to others!

All Weather Decks was one of 3 or 4 companies we asked to give bids to replace our old deck and add a screened-in porch to the deck. Cass Brinkmann, the owner of All Weather Decks, came to our home and discussed with us what we were looking for in a deck. He provided an informal estimate during our first meeting and followed up with a formal estimate. All Weather Decks was the low bid of the 3 or 4 contractors. Originally, we had planned to have All Weather Decks build the deck, add the screened-in porch and finish a patio below the deck for our basement walkout. At the last minute, we had to adjust our plan, delaying our screened-in porch and patio for another time. They made a fair adjustment to the price and started the project on time. At the end there were a couple of very minor items that were taken care of well beyond our expectations. We have had many compliments from neighbors and friends about the appearance and quality of our deck. We have been so pleased with the workmanship and positive experience we had with All Weather Decks that we are having them return to screen in the deck and add a patio. We highly recommend Cass and his crew at All Weather Decks to offer the same excellent service for you that they provided for us.

Cass,the owner, showed up as promised and gave me a bid and contract right on the spot. Workers showed up the following week as promised and stayed with the job until completed. I didn't have to chase anyone one down, which was a first for me in a long time. The workers did not give up until they got every aspect of the decks leveled and shored up with additional supports. It was painstaking work. They made sure I was happy with what they were doing every step of the way. A crew supervisor kept in touch with me as well. They cleaned up after themselves completely. They did not leave until they made sure I was satisfied without any argument even though the job took longer than they estimated. You won't do wrong by these guys. Give them a try.

Once the tear down of the old deck and the framing of the new deck was complete, the job moved along very smoothly with no problems and was finished in a timely manner. The deck turned out beautiful and has met all of our expectations. Cass Brinkman and Ann Brinkmam were great to work with and we would definitely recommend All Weather Decks to our family, friends and neighbors.

We were pleased with the plans, work schedules, timeliness, and quality of the finished project. They made sure we were happy at each phase of construction and made appropriate changes to our satisfaction. We would highly recommend All Weather Decks to anyone needing to do a similar project.

Overall, they did a good job and I would say that I was very pleased with them.

She measured and then began writing up her estimate (which surprised me). Lumber prices can change greatly and I was taken aback that she could estimate the job without sending a materials list to the lumber yard. She then told me I better take a seat because this was going to be big. She estimated my deck project at $17,500 - for a deck that is no more than a foot and half off of the ground and I level. I have received 2 other estimates in the last few weeks and both have stated that the deck foundation is fine it just needs a few minor repairs. The estimates came back 50% less than this company?s price. Very friendly lady but I would never recommend or use All Weather Decks for my outdoor projects.

He came after about a week of the phone call. Very pleasant, took measurements and said he would get back to us but we never heard from him again. He seemed a bit overwhelmed with the job but if that was the case I would have preferred he said it was more then he could do instead of waiting for his qutoes.

Great company to work with. Cass did a fantastic job of managing the project. Very responsive.

Before the work could begin there were a number of very large pots (20" across and full of dirt) that had to be removed from the old deck, along with a large BBQ, and 2 tables. The crew carefully removed these and got started building the new deck. Over the next few days they tore down the old deck, poured new concrete footings for the heavy upright supports, remember this is a second story deck, and started building the new deck, including a stairway. My dog has always used the stairs to get to the backyard. Cass knew that the sooner the stairs could be completed the better. It was understood, but not stated in the contract that the stairs should be usable by Friday. In the end this was not possible. However, without my asking, the crew came out and finished the stairs on Sunday. This is just one example of why I am so impressed with Cass and his people. When the deck was completed, Scott the foreman and I went over the job to make sure I was happy with the results. I was happy, but I am by nature an overly picky perfectionist. I pointed out a couple very minor details. Scott displayed an excellent attitude and immediately made the changes. After completion they replaced the pots and other stuff on the new deck and completely removed all the trash, leftover boards, etc. My wife and I are extremely happy with our new deck. It is a completely new deck from top to bottom. It is solidly built and looks better than the old deck did when it was new. I have complete confidence in Cass and his crew. I have found that his biggest goal really is our satisfaction. I have had other work done around the house and Cass is head and shoulders above any of the other contractors I have had. If I needed more deck work done I would call him without question. I would also recommend him to anyone else who needs deck work done.

We were very pleased with the service we got from All Weather Decks. The price was lower than others we had contacted and the owner of the company and all the workers were very professional. It was easy to contact them if I had a question about the project. They beganthe work promptly and we were very happy with the end result.

They did a really good job. They came out gave us a bid, started within a week and the deck was completed in three days. The crew was pleasant, and on time. We are getting a bid from this company for some additional work since we have moved.
