Gary, who was the main person who helped install the sump pump and returned when I had the sewage issue, was a kind, patient and very knowledgable employee. I also appreciated that Sheila, at Gray Wolf, managed to get me assistance after working hours on the very day I had the backing up sewage issue. She also explains plumbing issues in a very thorough manner.

The provider was thorough, friendly, and treated me with respect, which I appreciated.

Their visit went very well overall. It started out a little rough, when they accidentally let my dog out of the house. (She was quickly found at the corner gas station.) I showed them where and what needed to be done and they immediately got to work. They explained what they were doing and why. When they needed a part they did not have on hand, they left to go to a hardware store to purchase the required part and returned shortly to install it. They gave me a discount because they let my dog out of the house.

The whole experience was wonderful. Not only was Gene right on time (I was given a one hour window, and he arrived right at the beginning of the window), but he was knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to. Even though I live in Lawrence, I chose this Topeka based plumber because of the number of recent great reviews on Angie's List. For customers in Shawnee County, the service call charge is $60, and for outside of Shawnee County, it is $80, but it was well worth it. Gene answered all my questions clearly and effectively. And I felt good about his work. We had a plumber from another company come a year ago who replaced the rear hydrant with a Woodford hydrant. Now, this year, we couldn't get it to turn off. And last year we had trouble turning it off toward the end of summer. Gene explained that during the soldering process, that plumber had accidentally gotten some solder into the hydrant, and that was why it couldn't be turned off. He called that a "no no," but was very diplomatic in explaining the other plumber's error. Additionally, the plumber from a year ago (just added a review for this company with a service date 4/22/14) had fixed the front yard hydrant, but it was leaking again this year. Gene explained to me why it was leaking (the stem packing needed to be tightened) and showed me how to do it if it happens again. He did this instead of trying to sell me a new hydrant in front. In fact, he told me it was a quality hydrant, and he recommended not replacing it. Finally, Gene also showed me how to fix the sink stopper if we have problems again. I should also mention that the person taking the calls, Sheila, was also very knowledgeable and communicated well over the phone. When I first called to make the appointment, I was apprehensive about getting a plumber because of last year's experience. She communicated with confidence, which led me to go ahead and make the appointment. Quality work and products. Great customer service. A plumber who knows how to do the repairs and can speak well to customers. That's why they get an A.

They're a small company and they did a good job. We have two hot water heaters and one of them had been leaking and kept leaking and he recommended to put some paint on it and this and that and that's what we ended up paying him to do and he did a fine job. We had another plumber come in when we had all this other work done and that plumber said, "wow, they did a good job." He even said, "there was nothing I need to do." We wouldn't really have any reason not to use them again. We didn't feel like they got to us or anything so I'd say it was reasonable. It was excellent. We haven't had any problems with it an we didn't have to call him back. They set all our expectations upfront and they lived up to that. They were very responsive in calling and getting the job done. The guy that came out was the owner.

The men arrived on time and was very nice and professional. They were here for about 5 hours and left me a note that explained what was going wrong with my sump pump since I was at work. The next day Sheila the office manager gave me a phone call to explain more in detail on the issue and made sure I understood it before hanging up. That is some amazing customer service! Their prices are a little higher BUT you will not be upset on the money you spend due to the high quality of work the company performs. I had other plumbing companies in my house to work on issues and I was not satisfied with the quality of work. I will defiantly use Grey Wolf Plumbing again!

They showed up on time, were professional, and cleaned up after themselves. The blockage was farther out than they expected, but they stayed with it until the drain was clear, which was a relief.

They came out and gave an estimate on repair work, and although it took a while to get my estimate back by email, they were very professional and nice.

I called first thing in the morning to report the noises. A plumber from Gray Wolf was sent that morning to repair our toilet.

They did an excellent job. I got two estimates and they were the better of the two. There wasn't anything I disliked. They were prompt. First came a younger guy to give the estimate and then came back with somebody else to work there. They got it in right away. It was good.

The plumbers who worked on the system were very helpful, explaining everything to me. They worked quickly and efficiently. I have used them before and have always found the plumbers to be knowledgeable and easy to work with. They go above and beyond to make their customers happy. Will use them again for other projects.

The plumber was on time and performed the work to our satisfaction. He had to get parts he did not have on the truck, but he did not charge us for the time away from the work site. He cleaned up afterwards.

I got a call the morning of the appointment, something came up. They wanted to reschedule. I was very resistant to rescheduling because I had already removed everything in the kitchen. Didn't have a sink or oven, and it was a Friday. He came out a couple hours later and got started. It took him a long time to get a "game plan." It didn't seem like much of anything got done that day. He had a couple of guys come out. One didn't really do anything, one cut (and re-cut) several holes in the celing. He kept measuring wrong, and it ended up taking about an hour for 3 holes. One guy did basically the rest of it. I didn't have a functioning kitchen all weekend, and they had to come back on Monday. They got everything done that day, and I was happy with it. It didn't really take very long, and they cleaned up after themselves. If I was just rating for Monday it would be a lot higher. I was pretty unhappy with having to wait the weekend until everything else was completed, but everyone was nice and the work got done. The prices seemed fair, and they do have one really excellent worker.
