SECOND NATURE LANDSCAPES & LIGHTING

They were very good. I thought they were a bit pricey and there were some minor hiccups. I was happy with the job that they did and Cory was awfully nice, but I've decided to break up the various tasks I need done in the future.

We chose Second Nature from a list of four “A" rated landscape companies on Angie's List. We had dealt with Cory Owens before. We chose Cory's company because he was competitive in pricing and seemed to care the most about our questions and concerns. He is professional and treated us with dignity and respect. He patiently worked with us on a plan for the outdoor patio as well as changes that were made during the process. Cory gave us a timeline for the project. Even with some adjustments, the project was completed on time. All of Cory's men were outstanding. They worked very hard during the two week project. The crew leader, Raul, was a pleasure to work with. Each day they even secured the patio area so that no one could enter the area, which made us feel safer. We have absolutely nothing but good to say about Second Nature Landscapes. The patio is beautiful and we are very pleased!

We originally met with 5 different landscapers who were highly rated on Angie's List. All of them gave us their ideas, but only 2 were willing to give us a cost estimate without a detailed plan (which we would be charged for). Corey gave us a reasonable price range and a sketch of what could be done. It was very helpful to get these preliminary ideas on paper so we could assess which landscaper we wanted to hire to do the design work. We had intended to pay for the design of one or two landscapers, decide on one plan and then bid out the work to all 5 again. However, we were so pleased with Corey's attention to detail and his customer service that we contracted with him to do all the work---from design to finish. He communicated extremely well with us about all aspects of the project. He delivered many, many samples of hardscaping...and moved it around so we could see it in different weather and lighting conditions. He gently guided us to a beautiful decision on products, keeping the cost factor in mind throughout the project. We were so pleased with his work that we asked them to handle the lawn and yard maintenance throughout the summer. We will continue to work with him through the winter and next summer.

We have our house on the market and needed some mulch in the beds. I wanted it done within the week and Cory was able to accommodate our request. His crew of about 6 came out and worked hard to get it all laid out. He suggested the dyed dark brown mulch to maintain its color throughout the summer. We can't get over how much of a difference it makes for our curb appeal. They were very clean and left no mulch on patio, driveway, and sidewalks. We've also used Cory for the hanging of our Christmas lights and outdoor wreaths (Christmas Decor) for the past several years. I highly recommend him for your landscaping (and holiday) work.

After contacting Corey (owner) to request a design plan, he had me go online and complete a survey to help them understand what I wanted, how much time I'd put into maintaining our landscaping, likes/dislikes, etc. At a later date, Marilyn (the designer) and Corey met me at my house to walk around our property and talk about what I wanted. I found them both to be very professional, helpful, and friendly. I explained that our property is much bigger than our previous house and needed a lot of landscaping work. However, I wanted to first focus on our front yard and do a "phased" design so that we could change the landscaping area-by-area as our budget and time allowed. They were completely understanding and accomodating. They measured areas during this visit and asked some questions to get an idea for a design. It did take about 2 weeks longer to get the design plan back than expected, based on the timetable mentioned at our initial meeting. Corey met with me to discuss the design plan and brought several copies (both color and black/white). Overall, I liked the plan and was excited to have a "map" to help implement our vision of a nicer front yard! The color design plan was great and helped me visualize which colors would appear in various flower gardens. He used his iPad to bring up pictures of the plants in each bed. This was very helpful to me. He was quite thorough and explained everything about the design. He even offered to return to spray paint outlines of the flower beds in case I needed that to visualize how large each area would be. He also provided a quote for material/labor if they were doing the actual landscaping work. He broke down the estimate by sections of the design so that we could just do whatever areas we wanted, and he offered to re-estimate the quote if we wanted different areas completed than what he quoted. If we used them to do additional work, some or all of the landscape design fee would be rebated back to us. I opted to begin doing the landscaping work myself. This was solely due to our budget. I am now working on implementing Marilyn's design plan, and I'm excited to be transforming the look of our yard.

They do our fall and spring clean-ups, mulching, and flowers. They service our two properties. This is our second year with them and the flowers look beautiful. He worked really hard last year to make it look this good this year. You can tell they care about their work. Corey really means what he says and does a great job. He is very reliable and has never missed an appointment. The price is well worth it.

.We did get some estimates and we liked theirs the best. We have used them before and we have always liked their work. Its was nice work. The quality is good.

Decided not to use. This company's business model was peculiar. Required that we pay for a design provided by a subcontractor before we received an estimate for the actual work. Went with a company with a more traditional business model.

The team came to our home and prepared leaf piles so they could completely mulch them. You could not srr one piece fo leaf anywhere. Also, the price was more than reasonable.

It went well from start to finish. Cory had an estimate the next day, we scheduled work and his crew did an excellent job. This was a five day project, the work area was clean every night when the crew left. The crew was polite and hard working. I would highly recommend the use of Second Nature Landscape and have reached out to them for additional work

Cory was very responsive to my telephone call and met me at a convenient time for both of us. Told me what would work and not work. Took one day for the company to remove all of the dying trees, old bushes and clean up the area and then plant new flowers and bushes. It looks very nice, fresh and clean. Second Nature is going to remove one more tree and plant a new blue spruce but upon the advice of Cory Owens, this will happen later in the fall.

We were very pleased with Second Nature Landscapes. Cory was great to work with! His estimate was almost exactly the same as the other estimate we obtained. Cory's workers were happy and truly seemed to enjoy their job! They were cute with my kids too...waving to them through the windows, etc. Our pavers look very nice and I was impressed with how they took time to do it right - dug down deep, leveled out the ground and put the drainage pipes in first, before covering it with gravel, etc. Our trees and bushes that they pruned also look very nice! They took out some dead and over grown bushes in an island area and replaced it with grass and it looks good too.

We have not had any communication from him since June 8th.

They were pretty quick in giving me an estimate. They pulled up the estimate the next day. The estimate is for $5000. They will start to work in a couple of weeks.

The owner of the company, Cory Owens, was friendly from the first phone call to finish. He stopped by and emailed an estimate within 24 hrs of my call. He and his employees stopped by the following week and spent almost an entire day working. They did an excellent job. The property has never looked so good. I have since contacted them for an estimate for mowing.

Great communication, owner is very fast with responses, very professional workers. All done within the agreed time and we are very satisfied with quality of work

They were reasonable and did the work very fast. The job done was very good. They cleaned the place after the job. They were responsive and sent timely emails. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

We have a call in to them right now because we want them to come back. We like them. They did a beautiful job. We were very happy with them. They were very patient with us. They were conscientious and came at the time stated. We felt that they were working for us to make us happy. Their price was in the ballpark.

This is our 3rd year using Christmas Decor. We took advantage of his early bird special. There were no problems or glitches. If a bulb burns out, they come soon to replace it. Highly recommend them. Corey and his crew did a great job. Once holidays are over, they come and take everything down and store it for next year. His portfolio is very impressive.

We have used them several times. They are very nice and friendly. Our neighbor was using him, he was not even working for us when one day we bought a tree to plant in honor of our deceased son's honor and one of the workers came by and offered to plant the tree for free for us. We have use them several times since then and their service and prices are great.

Corey Owens was recommended to me by another person that sprays my trees and bushes. Corey was very responsive and polite on the phone. He was able to get to the jobs (one at my residence, the other at my rental property) with a couple of days of contact. The work done was EXCELLENT and the price was VERY reasonable. I would definitely use his services again and would recommend him to others.

They have very nice workers who are clean and presentable.

It was awesome and the patio looks fantastic. Cory was a pleasure to work with from design to completion. Cory worked together with my wife and I on the initial design. We made several alterations as the project went along, with Cory being very helpful and patient with the changes. The quality of the construction is incredible. The key to a paver patio is the preparation of the base and Cory's crew dug down at least a couple feet and backfilled over and over with compacted gravel. These guys did it right. You can tell they have pride in their work. I certainly am proud of my new patio!
