SECOND NATURE LANDSCAPES & LIGHTING

We started off by soliciting several (4, if I recall) bids for our backyard project. Second Nature wasn't quite the absolute lowest in price, but it was very competitive with the others (at least one of which never did get back to me). What set Second Nature apart was Cory's responsiveness (I'm amazed at how many companies have issues responding to e-mails) and how he was upfront about pricing and how they attempt to save customers money by using a brand of paver that is just as good as others but not as expensive. One started, the project took only 2 days and was completed while we were out of the house at work. The first day, we came back and were stunned with how much progress was made. The second day, we couldn't believe it was all done. But it was. We came to Cory with a design and he made it happen. We couldn't be happier with the result. I waited until now to post this review because the projected was completed in the middle of fall and the landscaping didn't "pop" as much as I thought it would in spring. So these pictures were taken in early April 2015, but obviously nothing has fallen apart and the landscaping continues to look great with new mulch installed.

Perfect...everything was done to our specifications!

We've been really impressed with this company. He came back and showed us everything he was going to do. He provided a map of exactly what he was going to do. He was here for about 30 minutes. He was extremely thorough with the explanation. They're a little bit higher. Everything else was so much better though.

They are very affordable for what they did. They got rid of all of the leaves in the yard, it was cold and wet outside and they still got everything removed and got it done. They did a really nice job. They were very responsive and got back to me right away. They sent me and an email letting me know what I needed to have done and did exactly what they said they would do.

I had a hard time not selecting Cory and Second Nature Landscapes for my patio and landscaping project. He was punctual, responding quickly and provided an estimate just days after coming onsite. I loved his design and plant selections. He thought outside the box and came up with a great design. I selected another company for the job based on seeing their work and the referrals from friends. Great company to do business with and I would highly recommend them even though I didn't go with them for the job.

They did an outstanding job. They did the best job I have had in a long time. I highly recommended them.

Cory was prompt and professional. Quote was reasonable and the work was performed on schedule and as expected. Tree removal sub (Michael's) damaged our mailbox slightly and it was replaced with like mailbox at no charge without asking. We reimbursed for half as the post office had already worked over the old one. Grass came in great and Cory came back to offer watering suggestions. Wouldn't hesitate to use again!

We found Second Nature Landscapes on Angie's List and gave them a call. Cory, the president of the firm called us back promptly and gave us a date to come out, review the job, make suggestions and schedule the work. Of course we changed our minds a few times before the work was done... different stone, different design ideas, more wall area.... typical indecisive homeowners! Cory was very accommodating and handled all our changes with frequent communication and the utmost professionalism. The weather didn't cooperate on the day we had originally scheduled to start but Cory had already call us the day before to let us know it wasn't looking good. We rescheduled for the next nice day and sure enough, his crew showed up and went straight to work. They even hauled away all our previous DIY attempts at a stone wall. No fuss, no mess, awesome crew, great clean up work and VERY professional. I would highly recommend Cory and his team for whatever landscape needs, ideas, dreams you might have.

They were fine! They completed the job in about two days.

Within 24 hours after first contacting Cory, the owner, he visited my house to evaluate the work to be done. I had an estimate a day or two later, which was very reasonable and in line with what we expected. We hired Cory based on the reputation he has built on Angie's List, and we were not disappointed. Cory and his crew were very professional and a number of my neighbors have commented to both of us that the work looks fantastic. We would hire these guys again in the future. Thanks Cory!

I was extremely pleased and impressed by Cory and his entire team. Cory was very patient with my continuous changes to the landscaping plan and helped develop the final plans. Once the work started, Cory was on-site for at least a portion of each day, doing some of the work himself. They were very professional and kept the area clean and free of trash/debris. Cory also followed up on the work at least 3-4 times after the job was complete. This included giving watering advice and replacing some of the pieces of sod that didn?t grow. I felt that this was superior customer service. Cory?s attention to the customer and getting the job done right with a great follow-up separates him from other companies. I was very happy with our lawn/landscaping and would hire Second Nature to do the work again.

The workers arrived on time, they were very efficient, and cleaned up well after all of their work. The plants were healthy and have provided color and did all that I asked for.

He was prompt and the work got done pretty quickly.

They came out quickly to give us an estimate and then returned to do the work. They were neat, respectful and thorough. The final product was well beyond our original expectations. We are very pleased with their work and will hire them again to do any future landscaping jobs around our house.

We went with another provider for a $50,000 job. Cory's loss.

Corey is very easy to work with from the design phase through the execution of the project. His crew is very efficient, don't smoke, blare loud radios, and do excellent work. The project was done on time and on budget!!! Yes, I would and do use Corey for all our landscaping. Can't recommend him too highly.

Cory Owens responded promptly to our request with a visit to discuss the work and provided a quote on the spot. We contacted him to accept the quote and he indicated he could probably do the work within a week. The work was completed a few days later. When we came home in the afternoon, the work was done and all the debris was removed. Everything was done just as we asked and there was no mess left behind. We are very happy with the outcome and have contacted Cory about another small project. Cory is very friendly, knowledgeable, and dependable. We will definitely continue to use Second Nature for landscaping.!

Cory came to the house to review my needs and promptly returned a quote. He was able to start the job within the week which was impressive. The crew arrived at the time he said they would with all the materials. I was extremely impressed with the efficiency of the crew, their professionalism, and courtesy. Due to electric lines, gas lines, etc. they had to do part of the trenching by hand and were very conscious of the flowers and beds. The job was completed in 1 day and exceeded my expectations. I had been originally planning on doing the work myself but couldn't find the time necessary to do it. When Cory and team was done, I have to admit that it was done better than if I had done the work myself. Upon completing the job they thoroughly cleaned up, planted grass seed and fertilizer over the areas that had to be dug up. I would absolutely use Second Nature again and would recommend them highly.

Our property needs an entire landscaping overhaul. We can't afford to have everything done in one year so Cory prices everything individually for us and we are going to work in stages. We began with having all of our front landscaping ripped out including a tree in front of the house. Then we had the downspouts buried and run under the sidewalk. Cory and his crew are very professional and courteous. They clean up so well you wouldn't even know anyone was at your house. We will continue to use him until our project is finished.

Cory at Second Nature Landscapes is very professional, polite and knows how to make sure customers are satisfied with his work. First of all, he replied back to my email within the time it stated he would on his website, he was able to start and complete the job according to my needs and to my satisfaction, and his employees are very professional and polite, as well! After the installation, it was noticed that a piece of the channel guard was defective. Cory immediately sent one of his guys out to replace the piece. We couldn't be happier with his work and his customer service.

Five years ago we came to the conclusion that the annual work required on our aging wooden deck far exceeded the enjoyment we got from it. At that time we started looking for a contractor to rip out the deck and put in a paver patio. We definitely got some sticker shock and after saving aside money for the past 5 years starting looking for landscape companies to do the work. We got bids from 3 companies and were impressed in talking with the all the owners, and in working with them on our ideas. The three companies came in with bids of 38,000, 34,000 and Second Nature came in with a bid of 27,000. We did think the other companies were possibly taking advantage of our Zionsville address, Cory Owens the owner of Second Nature is actually local to Zionsville and was extremely easy to work with. He is very knowledgeable about landscaping and was exceptionally patient with us as we made adjustments to our desired materials and was responsive when we tweaked the design a few times. We were delayed by the ridiculously wet Spring, but the crew was hard working and even with an entire week rained out, had the whole thing completed with 3-4 weeks. The crew cleaned up the worksite each evening before they left, and even came out on a couple of weekends due to time lost to rain. Towards completion the pillar capping they were planning on doing apparently was not going to work out well, and Cory upgraded that for no additional cost to some beautiful capping stones. They graded and seeded the grass areas that were damaged due to equipment and pallet storage. The whole project could not have gone any smoother (apart from mother nature) and we are over the moon with the final patio. I think it exceeded what we thought we were going to get in some areas. Our only disappointment is that we didn't do this 5 years ago and could have been enjoying the Summers outside more!

Our experience with Second Nature Landscapes was outstanding. Cory contacted me the day after I sent him an email. He showed up on time to give me a quote, he knew the range I wanted to be in as far as a price and he came in under it. The job was done when Cory said it would be and they were able to complete the entire job in only two days. The patio came out great, we absolutely love it. We would recommend Second Nature Landscapes to anyone we know who is interested in getting some landscape work done.

We decided in 2012 to have Second Nature design our landscaping. We paid for the design, and then this spring, we were able to pay for all of it to be completed. Cory listened to our likes and dislikes and really listened to our concerns. Cory showed us all of the plants that were in the design plan on his computer. We even tweaked the plan a little bit this year when we decided we wanted to add a few more things. It only took a couple of days for the landscaping to be completed. Cory also checked in to make sure that we were happy with it a few weeks later. Overall we were very satisfied with the new landscaping. We will most definitely contact them for any future landscaping needs.

From estimate to job completion Cory runs a top notch business. He was referred to me through a realtor a couple of years ago and I never forgot his professionalism. So when work needed done at a new residence I called him to see if they were interested in doing the work. While Cory has a great team he still isn't afraid to pick up a shovel and help out when needed.
