Description of Work: Installed jacks to stabalize main beam. Also installed I-beam and jacks to stabalize shaky floor. Did a great job in terrible weather. Also was impressed that estimator advised that it was not clear if/where foundation jacks needed to be installed. He thought the exterior wall crack could be caused by an exterior decorative wall extension and not by a foundation issue. Advised to wait and verify before we spent the money.

Description of Work: Recommended eleven big anchors be installed at a total cost of around $11,000. We had a structural engineer evaluate the foundation and no serious problem was found. The small cracks in the brick were tuck pointed at a total cost of approximately $300.

Description of Work: Moved and re-installed the sump pit in the basement giving it an upgraded system with a battery back-up. Installed a state of the art perimeter drainage system around the foundation slab (interior), extended all downspouts for drainage.

Description of Work: We contracted with IFS last year for them to install a sump pump and trough along two walls in the basement of one of our rentals. When it was determined this year that the other two walls needed to be done, we scheduled a date for them to do the two other walls. One of the things I appreciate about IFS is their consistancy; we dealt with the same sales rep on both jobs, which really smoothed things over for the second phase. The work crew was really professional during each step of the job and let us know exactly what was going on. Best of all, when we had a severa rain immediately after the job was finished and there were some scattered small spots of leakage, a crew was right back out to rectify the problem. The basement has been perfectly dry since then. I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: I a very pleasant lady answered the phone. I gave my name and asked if they did sump pump replacement. She reported she would send someone out but they were booking out to the end of June. I said that would not help my present situation, but do I understand you can not do the work until the end of June. She said nothing further and hung up. I just wanted to be sure that I understood about when the work might be able to get done. My son had them install a French Drain 2-3 years ago. I thought they did a nice job. I may call them again for future projects but I need to get my sump pump replaced soon.

Description of Work: Called to schedule a free estimate with a basement waterproofing expert. Their first available appointment was over a month from then. I scheduled the appointment, but told them I would probably have the problem fixed by then. I called back 2 weeks later and cancelled the appointment because in that time I had 3 other companies out from Angie's list and one of them had already completed the work. Seemed like a great company, just not responsive in a time efficient manner.

Description of Work: We hired IFS to install SilverGlow foam board insulation on our crawl space walls and to add downspout extensions. We didnt want to use the spray foam option available with other vendors because of potential toxicities and the inconvenience of needing to be out of the house for 24 hours. We had a 14 degree difference in temperature of the rooms above the crawl space relative to the rest of the house prior to the work, at the worst of the 2013 winter. Now it's about a ten degree difference, though subjectively it feels better, and the finished basement is also warmer. We were pleased with the work though there was quite a bit of delay in scheduling the project. Eventually those delays resulted in a discount. We plan on using them for future work including changing our dump pump discharge. They assessed other areas thoroughly and only recommended what truly needed to be done.

Description of Work: I am writing this review in Feb. of 13 because I wanted to see how the system would perform under wet conditions. Indiana Foundation installed a smart pump system in my crawl space. I told Dave Harting that my problem was water in crawl space during periods of heavy rain. Dave explained how smart pump system was best solution for my problem. We decided to have Indiana Foundation do the job. Crew arrived on time and it took about 6 hours to complete the job. I don't need to remind anyone about all of the rain that central Indiana received over the last few months. After each hard rain I checked my crawl space foe water. I did at least 7 checks and after each check my crawl space was dry. I want to thank Indiana Foundation for solving my problem. They did two follow ups to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. I would give Indiana Foundation grade of A.
