Description of Work: They came out to do a free estimate on incapsulating our craw space. The gentleman that came to our house was nice enough. Tried to sell me something I wasn't really interested in but not a deal breaker. Reason we went with someone else was, when they came out and looked at our crawl space, they explained things better, and pointed out things the first guy completely missed. Things that the gentleman from Indiana Foundation Service got wrong and said we would need fixed. I got a third opinion to confirm the second. We went with the second company eventhough their quote for doing the i ncapsulation was slightly more.

Description of Work: Jacked up main beam under house. At first it went OK but then went to far and opened a big crack where I didn't have one before. Used pressed board shims which a year later have crushed and the cracks reopened and new ones developed. Now have to do over!!!

Description of Work: Larry came out to give a quote on encapsulating our crawlspace along with reinforcing a few areas under the house. His quote was reasonable and in line with the other vendors I received quotes from. He came out on one of the coldest days so far this winter and was very pleasant and professional despite the cold temps. Looking to have work done in the spring and will definitely keep them in mind when it comes that time.

Description of Work: They installed water guard system, new sump pump, bright wall and clean space. The people at the office as well as the people who performed the work were a pleasure to deal with. They were knowledgable and professional.

Description of Work: Jeff inspected a wet crawl space and discovered a major negative characteristic of the home that had been missed by two prior inspectors-contractors. I am a real estate agent and Jeff saved my buyer from buying a faulty home. I will definitely think of him next time I need services or need to recommend someone for crawl space repairs.

Description of Work: Overall, great customer service but had issues with scheduling of work. We were quoted two days and the work ended up occurring over the course of four days due to their own scheduling issues. However, they were very responsive and even offered an additional discount for the inconvenience. For the type of work we had performed, we have not had a chance yet to gauge it (due to weather considerations) but it is under warranty.

Description of Work: Salesman told us what we needed. Did not try to over sell us anything. Workers arrived as scheduled and were friendly. Offered to help me move things not related to job. As neat as could be considering the dust. We had an interior water proofing system installed in the basement. They let me keep my old sump pump and even made a lid for it. Of course it was not near as nice as the closed sump pump system. Our basement is so large we thought it might help. Price was reasonable. We had a couple of months wait which was no problem. Overall our experience was great.

Description of Work: Came to fix water problem in crawlspace. I was quoted a price of $1,500. After further inspection, it was decided that the solution was not the solution. They will be sending someone else to inspect and see how to resolve the problem. They were here for about an hour and then finally decided what they were going to do would not solve the problem. I felt they were very honest in not just doing it any way. After all their crawling around in my crawl space, they left without charging me anything. It may have been a one time problem when we had all that rain in July. They will be back to recheck. I would definitely use Indiana Foundation Service any time I have a foundation problem...or if I think I may have a problem.

Description of Work: Contacted about water entering basement. Estimator came out, took measurements, then did not hear from him for several months. Called several times, no return calls. Finally got him to come back out, previous estimate details lost. Said he'd get back in touch, did not hear from him again. Went with different vendor. Dates indicated are approximate, it has been over a year ago.

Description of Work: Mr. Brawand evaluated a big humidity problem in my house and crawl space. He offered great help and excellent suggestions that were appropriate. There was no pressure to sell anything. His help allowed me to tract down the problems and solve them. This did not involve "the usual solutions" of purchasing unnecessary services or products. He was clearly interested that the right problem be solved the right way. It went great.

Description of Work: I had stabilization work done on three bowing concrete block walls in my basement. Work was done well. Price was not cheap, but cheaper than jacking the house and rebuilding the walls. Overall a good experience. Problems were mostly due to inter-company communication. Initial work was done in Mid-March of 2015, and initially estimated to take 2 to 4 days. The estimator/sales rep had been informed of a buried, abandoned oil tank, but this did not get into his finished work diagram or get passed on to the work crew, which had to take a couple of extra hours to work around the problem (which they did). The crew had not brought enough materials with them for the job, however, and lost nearly a day total until the materials got on site. Due to this and the oil tank, the job ran the full 4 days. During the repair process, the yard was torn up on three sides of the house (made worse due to wet, soft earth), and some large pieces of OS board were left behind in the yard. The company did make good on promises to repair the yard, but because of weather concerns, this didn't happen until the first weekend in May, and the crew arrived with equipment too light (a small, high-speed roto-tiller and hand tools) to handle the degree of yard damage. Again, the problem seemed to be poor communication somewhere down the line between the initial work crew, company office and the yard repair crew. The repair crew came back the next weekend with heavier equipment and took care of the remaining yard damage. Overall, the work was done, and so far apparently done well. The company's personnel were courteous and competent. The overall rating here would be higher but for the total amount of time lost apparently due to communication problems between different people involved in the job.
