Craig's Locksmith Service

I owned a Chinese Restaurant , one day I open the door but can't pull out the key. I found Mr. Craig on Angie's list, so I call him. He came and explain to me my options. He fixed it very quickly and very friendly. Thank you so much !

It went well. Craig showed up on time, got right to the work, explained what was wrong with the locks, it took 90 minutes, which seems a little long. Service call plus parts and labor. My perception of the price was it seemed a little high but I have nothing to compare it to.

I contacted Craig via his website earlier in the week, explaining that I had a non-emergency (locked out of old house that we're getting ready to list) and that if they could come by later in the week, that would be great. It turned out that he contacted me when I was stuck at work and couldn't get away, but he was patient through multiple calls and ended up stopping by in a convenient window. I'd thought the lock was stuck, but it did open when I got there; Craig was able to replace a couple of parts without changing the lock itself, so the old keys still work. In addition, he noticed that the deadbolt wasn't easy to turn, so he ground down the hole in the face plates a little, and the door was kind of rubbing against the threshold as it closed, so he replaced a couple of screws in the top hinge with longer screws that drove into the stud, lifting the door just enough so that it would open and close smoothly. The door had been a bit difficult to work with before, but when he was done, it opened, closed, locked and unlocked easily. Craig was very personable and professional, the service was not only what I requested but better, and each step was explained to me so that I understood what he was doing and why. I would definitely use his service again (but at my new house - hopefully he won't be needed at the old house anymore!).

Great! Craig called us back within 10 minutes of our call to his office. He was able to come out within just a few hours. He was really nice, personable and professional. We had a bit of a challenge due to custom wood doors and some previous repair work (not by Craig) that caused some additional challenge. Craig was here for over an hour, consulted with us along the way, providing options and explaining what he was doing. In the end, everything is fixed, and actually a few things that we didn't know needed addressed are functioning much better now as well. Will definitely refer Craig to friends and use him again! He was polite & punctual. I liked that he had door handles & merchandise with him in his van. He matched the keys to be the same on 2 of the doors, & checked out the closure on another door. I would recommend him.

Changed cores on multiple exterior doors and provided keys. Friendly and knowledgable.

I called Craig and he came over and said it's not working. I told him that I love the look of the lock and he went out of his way to find one that looked almost identical. He also noticed that my storm door was not latching and determined it was because the lock box was too large. He was able to move the lock a bit and mount the lock box in the new location and now it latches perfectly. He was very nice and professional.

From the initial phone call I made to the service being performed, this was one of the most impressive jobs of customer service I've seen in quite some time. Craig re-keyed several locks, same day service, and communicated with me throughout the process as issues were encountered. He made every effort to contain cost, and is a true service provider. I hope to not need his services again, but if i do I won't call anyone else. A+ service to say the least!

I expect high customer service, professionalism and knowledge from providers. Craig exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment he called to understand my needs he was very courteous, humble, respectful and kind. He was running late as he had a big call before mine. He kept in touch the entire time, was apologetic and did not charge me for late hour service even though it was after 5pm. When he arrived he was professionally dressed. When we walked through the house he found solutions to fix locks while changing them versus recommending only new parts and door knobs etc. He was very knowledgeable, less expensive than some competitors and very pleasant to work with. He listened to my needs and built a solution based on that. A few other providers I called were abrasive from the first call and not helpful. I would highly recommend Craig and his company.

We had an emergency situation and called an unknown "locksmith" in our area found using Google. What a mistake! Because of our unfortunate situation, we were taken advantage of by this "locksmith" who didn't know what he was doing (2 hours to do a 15 minute job) and then proceeded to sell us inferior, overpriced product. I had never experienced hiring or needing a locksmith. We used Angie's List to find a locksmith who could hopefully provide better service. We were very pleased with Craig's Locksmith Service. The business owner actually completed the work. He was very responsive and completed the repairs the same day. He was very professional and explained options as well as made recommendations for us to be proactive with maintenance. He explained the product we selected. Very knowledgeable about door locks. He did a fantastic job!

Craig was awesome! We contacted him after we moved into our new house, but we got busy with other services going on with the house. He followed up appropriately without being pushy. He was on time, professional and friendly. Our locks look fabulous. He explained what he was going and asked us to check his work for satisfaction as he went along. The only "downfall" was he did leave behind the old locks at each station, so we had to clean those up. Not the worst thing that ever happened. I would highly recommend Craig and would definitely use him again!

He was prompt, professional, and gave me great advice for maintaining my lock and the door's weather stripping. He didn't charge me anything beyond the fee for the visit. I would call him any time I need help with a lock.

I've used Craig twice now to repair broken door knobs. He has been able to fix the problems quickly and has been generous with advice on how to maintain the hardware.

Craig arrived when he said he would (on a Saturday) and was professional and pleasant to work with.

He did a very good job. He even volunteered to inspect an old sliding glass door to see if he could fix it- he worked at it for a while and wouldn't take anything for that. He was just interested in doing it.

I hired Craig to install new locks, plates etc. on two doors in my house and then add a bar and lock feature to my sliding glass door. He did an excellent job! He is professional in his work and explained exactly why he did what he did and how it would work for me. I have had a number of workers in my home through the years, but none as pleasant and professional as Craig. He made certain I was aware of everything he was doing and picked out the items that would blend in with my painted doors. He did not rush the job and I appreciated that very much. If you ever need a locksmith I would call Craig!

I had a front door that I could no longer open from the front step; my side garage door was insecure, and needed a new strike plate and tightening up. I had lost keys for a kwikset lock on the back porch door, as well as for its screen door. Keys were lost for a door leading to back porch from kitchen locks and the key for the porch from the living room was unique to that door; both those door locks had been improperly installed (by me...) and were vulnerable. Craig gave me a verbal assessment of the cost of the work to be done, and we discussed my needs, which included having one masted key working all doors other than screen doors. Craig went about his work methodically, explaining what he was doing and how to maintain the doors and locks in future. I now have a far more secure home, with spare keys while needing only one to gain entry from all doors. I was impressed by the way Craig went about his work; he is a true professional, a perfectionist who obviously loves his craft. He has a very pleasant personality and my wife and I enjoyed chatting with him for a few minutes at the end of the day. Knowing we have a very capable expert available to help on door and lock related issues, at very reasonable cost, is comforting in these times when security is more important than ever.

Craig came the day after I called, and worked his schedule so he could come as soon as possible. He arrived promptly at the time he said he would. He is very conscientious about his work, and very friendly and courteous. He left everything spotless after the work he had done. He prefers to do the work himself, rather than send out someone else to do it. We were very pleased with the outcome.
