We had one door with a broken lock. Craig thoroughly explained why our house doors needed to be ready-keyed & new keys made. Two keys were free & he made 4 extras. Took only one hour, he worked quickly because I had an appointment to get to. Craig was very knowledgeable & did a very good job in a short time. Definitely recommend Craig.

When he came doors could not be locked. When he left” they all worked including a very complex front door.

I called four places and Craig was the most reassuring and responsive. Lowes had come out to try and install a new front storm door. All of the custom molding around the entryway would have had to have come off and be replaced to do it. Our painter suggested just switching out the hardware. Craig did that. We had a Pella door and he had the latch that would fit and match the door. He is a gentleman and an expert. Our door is more solid and secure and it looks BRAND NEW. Call this man and look no further. He is professional and an expert!

Older locks probably slowed the process. Craig worked until it was done and all were working properly. I feel confident it was done right. I must admit I have simply gone to the hardware store in the past and bought new entry locks, but since these matched every other door handle in the home, and were unique in appearance, I went with re-keying. Pricing may well be competitive with other services in town - I did not obtain multiple estimates.

Everything went extremely well. He came when he said, he thoroughly covered with us problems that needed to be addressed, and when he completed his work he walked us through the entire house to check the doors and locks. We would highly recommend Craig as your first choice if you want the job done right.

I called Craig’s Locksmith looking for expertise. Another locksmith had re-keyed my doors; when he was done, the keys worked, but it was impossible to get them out of the lock without pushing in on the cylinder with my thumb. The first locksmith said this was “normal,” but I had never experienced such a thing before, and neither had anyone I had talked to. Craig agreed, and said the first locksmith probably had installed the locks incorrectly. He took the time to answer all my questions about the problem with the keys, and locks in general, and agreed to come to my house the same day. Craig fixed the locks in question; the keys now slide in and out easily. He also noted that one lock had been installed upside-down. Plus, he was able to re-key a sliding door that the first guy had punted on. And he re-installed some parts that the first guy had omitted as unnecessary; actually, they made the locks sit more securely in the door. In short, Craig was professional, fixed all the other guy’s mistakes, and charged less. I should have called him first.

Craig was very professional and prompt. He opened our locked cedar chest and made keys for the cedar chest. He was very responsive and came by the house the day after I called him. Craig acted professional manner. It was an old chest and Craig had to work hard to open it. He never gave up and worked until he opened the trunk. After opening the trunk, he made keys very quickly. He gave me advice about maintaining the lock. I am impressed about Craig's integrity and professional manner. I would use him again.

My mom lost the keys to her car and needed someone to cut a key for her on the spot. I called and left Craig a message. He responded in less than 5 minutes. Although he was unable to provide the service (he didn't have a blank key for the make/model of her vehicle), he recommended someone who could. He even called me back to make sure his referral was able to take care of us. He was very attentive, professional and helpful. Fantastic. Craig was able to actually make a new key and we were able to get into it. The movers had locked it for a move from Nebraska to Indiana and then I have no idea what happened to the key. It was amazing that he could do that. I would recommend him to anyone needing a locksmith.

I called Craig and he came out within one day and after examining the handle he surmised that the door handle opening mechanism was broken. He disassembled the handle and indeed there was a broken part inside the handle. He looked in his truck and luckily had the requisite part. He fixed the handle and noted that the door was not closing completely so he brought out his wood chisel and metal grinder and within 5 minutes was able to get the door to close completely without rubbing when the dead bolt was opened and closed. This was the first time in years that our front door opened and closed without issue. We were very happy with this contractor and wholeheartedly recommend him. He also applied a 10% Angie's List discount!

Craig did a great job. In addition to replacing the door nob, he also showed me a tip on how to remove stripped screws. He also noted that the deadbolt was not lined up properly, which is most likely what led to the nob breaking, and he adjusted that as well.

Craig does a great job, he changed 4 locks, replaced 2 of the dead bolts and one door handle assembly. He is very good and enjoyable to work with. I have used Craigs Locksmith in the past and will continue to do so.

Identified least costly remedy and pursued that before charging me for higher services. Very friendly and professional. Work was completely quickly and well done.
