One of the two basement window wells in our home (purchased in 2007) was an incomplete attempt at a wooden barrel look. Unfortunately, some vines had overgrown the barrel slats and completely torn down the well itself to the point where a gully washer might have been a problem on that window. Mark from Bam Outdoor came in late September for an estimate and provided the advice that window well space be opened up to allow for emergency exit from the basement. The metal window well shield that was previously in that spot would not have allowed for that possibility. The logic and cost seemed reasonable so we signed the estimate and returned the down payment (50%). It took about a month for their schedule to allow the installation and frankly they showed up to do the work without advance notice. However, the three-man crew was very careful and thorough in their task. It took them most of one day to complete. They installed a drain, lined it with gravel, removed all the vines and installed a durable, hard plastic well with an incorporated ladder to aid any possible emergency evacuation. They cleaned up the area and left (again without notice). While it hasn't rained yet (so I can't comment on the draining), the job looks terrific and I'm very happy with the result.

Great work. Mark was in charge of our project, and he submitted a detailed plan and listened to our concerns from the start. We changed a few things before the work was started, and he remained flexible and receptive to our ideas. The work took about a month, but the results were worth the wait. Not only did they live up to the plans, they also took care of a couple of related issues on the job without having to be asked. They were not the cheapest bid we received, but they were competitive. We would definitely recommend BAM to anyone who wants to update their landscaping.

After no response for weeks, work was finally scheduled and completed on-time. The project manager was rude and arrogant to my wife. Instead of asked us what we wanted done, he decided to tell us what we should and should have done. Kind of a jerk..

Did it in the dark, so it doesn't look too good.

I accessed their website and asked for an estimate. A company representative came out and assessed my needs. He explained that service would be about 10 days out because of their schedule. However, they had an opening to do my work only two days after the estimate. Three workers did exactly what I wanted and cleaned up the area so one would never know they had been there! They were very courteous and worked quickly and professionally.

I called the office and the lady was nice. I received a call back the next day from the tree trimming crew manager. I asked that the manager call me from the house and walk around the property with me while I was on the phone. He was very knowledgeable about the tree and shrub species. I told him what I wanted and he told me if it was the best for the trees and the other vegetation. I apparently had a good grasp on what I wanted as he agreed that the actions were necessary and beneficial to the other landscape. He said that he could start in 10 days but ended up starting and finishing with in 4 days. I went over and inspected the job and was very pleased. Great job.

We have used BAM for 2 years. They are light years better than the 2 previous companies we have worked with. Our neighbor let her weeds grow uncontrolled, and therefore we have had a problem with them spreading into our yard. BAM has been the first company to get the weeds under control and reduced in our lawn. We plan to call BAM for other larger projects as needed.

They are absolutely great. They take care of my lawn. I get 5 lawn treatments for the year. They do a great job in covering everything from pre-emergent to postseason. So they almost do a 3 season service as far as my lawn goes. They also provide horticultural oil spray in the spring for my fig trees and then bagworm prevention for my pine trees. I believe there are 4 treatments for the year for that. The results have been absolutely excellent. My yard continually looks top in the neighborhood as far as being thick, green lush lawn. I don’t worry about weeds and I don’t have weed problems. So I am very happy with how my yard looks. I would continue to use their services in the future too.

I called BAM to get an estimate to remove a bothersome sweet gum tree that was too close to the front door of our farm house. Their estimate was so reasonable that I asked how much would it cost to also remove the huge Japanese Yew "bush" that had been growing untrimmed for about 50 years and was starting to cover the driveway. Their price was not only quite reasonable, but they were prompt, and the quaity of the work was splendid. I called them on Tuesday and they did the work on Thursday. It had rained the day before they did the work so they put big metal plates down onto the grass so their trucks would not make ruts in the lawn. I was quite impressed with the job and the clean up afterward. I will certainly call them for tree service in the future.

Very well done. The parking area and new drainage is fantastic. Responsiveness was sometimes inconsistant due to weather, and I'm guessing, other bigger jobs. However, the excellent price made the waiting worthwhile.

The overall experience has been great. If I have a problem, they are here. We are friends and I know them and like them. I feel very comfortable with their services. The quality of their work is very good. They are pretty busy so sometimes you have wait, but they do get back to you. I will definitely continue to use them.

I got 4 estimates actually. Some of the people that came out came in a personal vehicle and they didn’t answer the questions that I had, but they submitted quotes. They were all over the map and most of them were extremely high. I chose to go with Bam. They were candid, flexible and honest, and the workers were efficient. The cleanup was excellent. I would use them again.

Everything went well. They give reasonable feedback about their products and services needed.

I have used BAM several times for tree service. They did a very nice job and were very prompt. They are good about clean up.

They have a friendly staff, all seasoned and well educated employees, they are very professional and we have used them for 13 years.

Called for a quote on Monday. BAM promised a response in 24-48 hours. 30 minutes later the doorbell rang. It was Mike Broshears, the president of BAM. He was coming back from another job and stopped by on the way. Initially I was told that there would be two quotes, one for the tree trimming I wanted (see separate positive report) and one for the fertilization. Since Mike runs the company he was able to quote both, which was very convenient. Mike measured the yard and wrote a quote. Mike explained the six treatment program and what they do. He also indicated that they would spot spray on request if some weeds escaped the general application The quote was very reasonable. It was really not much more than cost of buying the materials myself, so I signed up. Mike indicated that they would get the first treatment (a weed and feed mix) down by the end of the week. The fertilizer guy came on Wednesday. I had watersealed my deck on Tuesday and still had the patio furniture out in the yard. I ran out to get the stuff out of his way and he stopped what he was doing and helped me. Very nice! The application was a granular mix which was applied by a motorized broadcast spreader which the operator drove while standing on the back. This specialized equipment allowed him to do the job very quickly. When he was done, he left a small white flag near the driveway to indicate that a treatment had been made and left the bill at the front door. I am writing this just after the application so I can not yet attest to the results, but the service to this point has been exemplary.

The quote: I called on a Monday morning and asked for a quote. There was a nice lady working the phone who took my information and told me that they would respond in 24-48 hours. I knew the trees were looking unkempt, but did not know specifically what to ask for. Mike made some suggestions which were helpful (such as raise: the canopy on this one, trim this one back from over the driveway and away from the house, remove the small 3rd trunk on the birch). He spent about 30 minutes looking at the trees and gave me an estimate which captured the things we discussed. I felt good about his subject matter expertise and the price, so I signed up immediately. I realized that I had forgotten about a dead pine tree in the back that needed to be removed. I mentioned it and he said that would be easy once they were already out there. He wrote that into the estimate. He told me that he would like me to be there during the trimming. I told him that I was off work all that week, and that it would be more difficult thereafter. He assured me they would be out by the end of the week. I got a call from Mike on Wednesday, and we set up the job for Thursday afternoon with a window of 1PM to 3PM. The truck, chipper and a 3 man crew pulled up promptly at 1PM on Thursday. The tree removal was impressive. They dropped it with a chain saw, attached a rope to the trunk and a winch on the chipper pulled it across the yard and directly into the chipper. They did not have to carve it up and throw it in piece by piece, the machine ingested the whole thing (it had an 8-10" trunk). This took about 15 minutes. (Every fallen needle and pine cone was raked up and removed) Before starting the trimming, the crew and I reviewed Mike's quote together to be sure we had a common understanding of the work to be done. About that time Mike called to be sure I was comfortable with what had been discussed and indicated that he would stop by to check on things shortly. The trimming went nicely, the crew showing a very good sense of what and where to cut for an aesthetically pleasing result. Mike stopped by and caucused with the crew about some of the details. Once he was sure things were well in hand he headed of for another job, instructing me to be sure direct the crew if there was anything I wanted changed. I asked for a few minor adjustments which they gladly made. Cleanup was very good. Every branch got collected and chipped, and all leaves and twigs were raked up and removed. The fine dust was cleaned up with a leaf blower. Unlike a lot of places, I did not have to be ready with a check when they finished. Mike said they would bill me (terms: net 30). This was a very positive experience and I will recommend BAM to my friends and colleagues.

They were great to work with. They work hard, on time, and courteous. I would hire them again. They did a great job with the tree removal even though it was during cold and windy weather.

They were very good. One tree I wasn't so sure about and they came right back out. They were very responsive. I would definitely consider using them again.

Really happy with the job that was done. It went well. After the aerated the lawn it came back really good. The price was comparable. They were nice and congenial, anything you asked of them they would do.

They're a fantastic company. We've used them for about ten years. They've done anything we need done. Every treatment, fertilization, raking, pick up debris. They're very professional and do exceptional work. They make our yard look really pretty.

We learned about this company from one of our neighbors which had just had a similar project completed. We were very impressed so we contacted BAM. Brandon (sales/designer) responded very quickly to our email request. He put together a design within 36 hours, and assisted getting approval from our HOA management company because we were in a "rush" to complete this project. We approved the plan on a Friday and BAM began the project on Monday! Within a few days everything was completed to our satisfaction. We had nothing but a "dirt" backyard since this was a new home. BAM installed the patio, sod, several bushes, grasses, a tree, boulders, and mulch. We went from nothing in the back to a beautiful area in just a matter of days from start to finish.

Granular lawn fertilization applied. Our only complaint is that there is over-spray of fertilizer that gets on the driveway and street. Our former provider swept this onto the grass or did not get as much over spray. We have heard this is even more harmful to the environment because that goes straight into the storm water. The price is a bit higher than we have paid in the past, though I have heard costs/expenses have gone up.
