Veteran owned and operated with over 20 years experience in tree trimming and removals. We carry work comp to protect you if there is an injury and a $1 million dollar liability insurance policy for accidents. Licensed by the City of Lafayette and City of West Lafayette for right of way trees.

"I could not ask for a better result. They were amazing. The event went very well. They accomplished in just over five hours what would have taken me several days even with renting a very high lift at considerable cost. I've cut down a lot of trees myself all without incident so I can typically discern the level of skill of someone with a chainsaw - and know when to run away. Truthfully, this was a very difficult job so my very wise wife encouraged me to hire someone for this one. I'm glad I listened. The tree was 85' high, 70 years old, 46" diameter two feet off the ground and over 3' wide many feet up the trunk. Its limbs were partly over our house, my neighbor's house and completely over our newly roofed shed, The neighborhood high voltage uninsulated power lines ran within a few feet of the back of the tree. Our power service line to the house, the TV cable and internet fiber lines actually all ran through the tree from the pole to the house. They coordinated with the power company to disconnect the power line to avoid damage and they lowered the other cables as much as possible. They also had protective covers for the cables on the ground that could not be disconnected. Since so much of the tree was over structures I believed some potential for damage was possible. I'm pleased and amazed that virtually nothing was damaged. This was a $3,000 job and I was very happy to write the check. They were professional in appearance and behavior, were responsive with scheduling and calls, prompt onsite, presented documented insurance with their quote which was well beyond adequate, were highly skilled and very well equipped with several trucks and large machines onsite. The five-man crew included a professional Arborist, were well organized, worked together effectively, practiced professional-level safety techniques for themselves and those of us watching. It was quickly clear I had made the right choice considering other quotes were both much higher and a little lower. I will definitely recommend them as my first choice to anyone needing the kinds of services they provide. I hope this review helps you make a good choice to use them for your needs."

Jesse's Cutting Edge Tree Experts provide professional tree care and snow removal for residential and commercial properties. We are arborists who are knowledgeable and know how to properly care for your tree needs. Keeping a healthy and well trimmed yard is not only attractive and adds value to your property, but also lessens any liabilities that could cause injury or damage to others and their property. We provide free estimates at fair prices for our customers and are family owned and operated for over ten years. There is no job too small or job too big!

"Jesse was doing a job down the street. My wife asked if he had time to take our job too. He was happy to do it, even though it kept him there until almost 8PM. He and his crew really hustled. They cut down the remainder of the tree and ran it through the chipper. He had a large cherry picker that allowed him to easily reach the upper branches of the locust. Jesse was meticulous about cleanup, directing his crew to go back and cover any spots they missed."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Yes, you will want to confirm that the tree removal company you hire is insured before proceeding with the job. Tree removal can be dangerous work, and it's important to verify that the company carries the proper insurance to cover any onsite accidents or damage.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

On average, removing a tree costs around $750, but you can expect to pay between $200 to $2,000. Factors that impact the overall cost include the number of trees you’re having removed, their height, the diameter of their trunks, permits needed, and the tree’s accessibility. You’ll pay more if the tree is in a hard-to-reach area or dangerous location, like close to power lines.

The cost varies depending on a number of factors, including the size of the tree, location, accessibility, whether or not the stump is also being removed, and other environmental factors.

Answered by Elan Flores at Flores Artscape in Los Angeles, CA on 01/07/25

Each tree is different, and costs can vary widely based on factors including tree size, hardness of wood, difficulties caused by location of the tree and proximity to nearby structures and objects, inherent risk involved in specific removals (e.g. rotten sections of trunk), requirements of dealing with municipalities and local governments for tree removal permits, and the methods employed by the tree worker to remove your tree.

A single tree could cost as low as $100 to remove or $10,000 dollars or more depending on these factors. It is also important to keep in mind that many companies have a minimum price to come out and do work or even give quotes.

Answered by John Catalo at Catalo Arbor Care Inc in West Palm Beach, FL on 01/14/125

Removal of trees costs about $1,500 to $3,000, on average.

  1. If there are no online reviews, ask them for referrals. If a tree removal company is reputable, you won't be their first client. It's perfectly acceptable to ask for references on your initial call, and if a removal company won't provide referrals, it's time to move on.

  2. Find out what equipment they use. Some types of tree removal equipment are better than others, and a removal company might need special tools to get your particular job done. On your first conversation with a prospective removal company, make sure that you clearly express the nature of the job you want accomplished and receive assurances that the company has the proper equipment.

  3. Consider all of the costs. Always ask for an estimate up-front. Inquire about the job itself and any potential hidden fees that you might not be aware of.

First, get references. Be sure to ask about their history and how long they have been in business.

How many years of total service in the industry.

Answered by Daniel Humphrey at Skyview Tree Solutions in Jasper, IN on 01/30/25

To have a fallen tree removed near your home, you can expect to pay between $100 to $500. Your local tree removal professional will most likely just need to cut and remove the tree from your property, but factors like the size of the tree and its trunk diameter impact this cost. In addition, there will be an extra cost to fill in the hole left by the tree, and while you have your tree removal specialist on-site, it might be worth it to have them inspect the other trees in your yard for potential damage. Trees that have fallen onto your home or another structure, will likely be more costly to remove.

The minimum cost is $500 to $1,000, as disposal of tree debris is between $200 and $300 per load.

Answered by Jeff Searles at Lakeshore Tree Care in Chanhassen, MN on 01/08/25

Costs can range from $500 up to $2,000, on average. It depends on the size of the tree, the location, accessibility, if there are hazardous conditions surrounding the tree and the environment, and if other work is being done on the property along with fallen tree removal.

Answered by Elan Flores at Flores Artscape in Los Angeles, CA on 01/07/25

It really depends on if it's just lying on the ground or if it fell on a structure. The cost could be anywhere from $500 to $10,000. There's a wide price range because some fallen trees are really easy to remove, while others are very difficult and require a crane.

Answered by Kenneth Kirlin at Carolina Tree Trimmers LLC in Summerville, SC on 01/06/25

You can expect to pay about $1,000 to $4,000 to have a fallen tree removed. Trees that have fallen require more labor to remove than one that's standing.

Answered by Jeremiah Erickson at Chameleon Property Services LLC in Albany, NY on 01/13/25

Budget over $1,500 if you need a tree removed from your yard that’s larger than 80 feet. Large tree removal is a significant project that requires a crane, and the overall price will increase if the tree is close to your house. Typically, smaller trees can cost as low as $8 per foot to remove, while larger trees (over 80 feet) can cost at least $15 per foot.
