Description of Work: On two separate occasions Total Comfort has performed a service call for our furnace. The first was a cleaning and inspection special and because of my first experience I called them again for an emergency when the furnace failed to come on at a later date. They responded right away and explained what the problem was and professionally corrected it. The service charge was very reasonable and he even gave me a discount.

Description of Work: Furnace inspection, cycled the humidifier isolation valve, replaced the furnace filter, minor cleaning of furnace.

Description of Work: They came originally to do a cleaning for the furnace. Then they came again, emergency call, to deal with an issue we gained due to a water line issue with the humidifier (not their fault). They came again because of an odd action the furnace was gaining. When we all realized the furnace was too unpredictable to be safe and it was still cold enough to need heat, they came, gave us an estimate, and scheduled for a system replacement. When they came out for the replacement, they were apparently also dealing with another emergency situation for another customer. They did however get our old furnace out, new furnace in, thermostat changed, and a couple minor non-related things fixed for us on day one. The next visit was a few days later, heat had not been returned to the other customer due to circumstances beyond their control so the work they did for us was on a time crunch. That visit was the water line repair for the humidifier, two of four electronic vent louvers, running the line for the new ac unit, and running the wires for the new lower level thermostat. A brief visit the following morning while they were waiting for the arrival of parts for the other customer was, the installation of the lower level thermostat, the other two electronic louvers, and some fine tuning for the ac unit prep. The next visit was the last... the Monday .. exactly one week from the date they started. That was the placement of the new cold air return needed for the lower level, the completion of the ac unit install (minus of course the start up which requires warmer air than 30 degrees lol), and the final check to make sure it was all done. They swept their messes each time they came, they answered questions, addressed concerns, explained the whole process, and even dealt with me being nosey constantly through the process. hahaha Yes, they did get a permit, they took care of that before any actual work was done, I didn't have to do a thing on that note. No I did not ask to see it but having the inspector come by twice to check up on the process was kind of proof enough. lol

Description of Work: I have used Thorn Heating & Cooling for my furnace and air conditioning. They have installed a new thermostat and helped clean the humidifier. They have also helped when a pump on our high energy-efficient furnace had problems.
