They were there when they said they would be and the crew was very knowledgeable about products and work being done .very professional and the work turned out better than we expected. I would definitely recommend timberseal and would definitely use them again in the future. By far my best experience with any contractor

Very good communication from Greg and his team leads at each stage of the process. He and his team leads saw things and made recommendations that I had not even noticed. Kept us informed about their progress and what next steps would be. House and decks look great. Super Cedar Dark stain looks fantastic on both pressure treated pine and cedar decks.

They did a great job. Thoroughly cleaned before they started. Did a great job with sealing any open spots in the cedar siding, applied 3 coats of stain, were very careful with plants surrounding the house. Our home is very difficult to work on. It's on a steep hill and they were able to use ladders and scaffolding to reach every spot. We are extremely happy with their work!

It was too expensive and I thought that the quote was not reasonable based on the quotes that I have received. The guy was too much on time. Instead of giving me the answer right then and there, he e-mailed me the quote when I didn't have the time to look at it. He was very professional and did well with my fence.

The work is first-class, but they either overextend themselves or just can't keep to schedule estimates. Weather last year was a problem, but it took a long time to get the work started. Once started, they completed the work promptly. We will use them for ongoing maintenance of the finishes, as they seem to know what they are d*** and use good materials. The deck and bridge shed water better than they ever have before, and I am confident their finishing material will extend the life of the deck and bridge. So, they're a good contractor, just be prepared to be patient.

I called and emailed regarding an estimate for painting the house, trim, fascia also power washing deck. The estimator /owner responded quickly showed up on time for appointment and seemed interested and professional. I never received follow up even after several contacts on my part so I hired someone else.

I was not entirely thrilled with them. We signed a contract as soon as they came out to have work done. They made an appointment for us the week they were supposed to show up. Then I did not get a phone call that week to set anything up. So I called them and they did not have us on the schedule for that week. Even though they said that the weather had been bad, it had been very nice. So we were put on later. They came out and stripped the deck; that was very nice. Then when they sealed it again, they were supposed to come out twice. The date for the second time they were supposed to come out and seal it flipped as well. They weren't here when we were expecting them. They came out and sealed it the second time, and it still didn’t look good. So they had to come out a third time. The guy said that it happened sometimes that the seal just doesn’t take. Even after it was sealed the third time and we paid for everything, they charged us extra because I hadn’t paid the bill until they came out after the third sealing as I wasn’t happy with it. I don’t know what it's going to look like in the spring. I don’t know if it was worth all the time, money and aggravation. Even though we signed up in July, the deck wasn’t finished until the end of summer past the point where we could actually entertain or use it. We still had the chairs and everything off of it, because we were waiting for them to come back and finish their work. I probably won't know until the spring how the deck actually has weathered the winter. I liked the guy I talked to. Unless I called to speak to him, he didn’t call to say that they weren't going to be here when they were promised to be. He didn’t call to tell me that things had been delayed because the weather was not good. I had to do a lot of work to get them out here to do their job. I was actually far happier when they just stripped the old stuff off. If they had left it like that, it might have been better. I could have sealed it myself. It was not as good as I expected. They were responsive to my phone calls. When I called the guy, he would call back within twenty four hours. The problem is they didn’t seem to have a system in place. He had us down in his schedule when we signed the contract, but apparently that never got transmitted to anything else. We weren't really on the schedule. With regard to price, I don’t think we got what we paid for. With regard to quality, until spring I won't know how good it is, but the fact that they had to come out and spray it three times to even get it to the level that it is. They basically had to come out the second time to cover some places that they didn’t get the first time. I was not happy with that either. With regard to responsiveness, he was responsive when I called. He said that it happens sometimes that even after the second application, it still doesn’t look good and that they come out a third time. He was just embarrassed after it didn’t look good the third time. With regard to punctuality, people tell us that they are supposed to be at our house in a week's span and then nobody calls to tell us that they are going to be and then nobody comes. That's not punctual. With regard to professionalism, the guys who were here were good. The guy that I spoke with was good. But again all those other things that come into play like the lack of actually being on the schedule. I don’t think the work was a 100%. All the guys were friendly. Every time I had another guy come out; he was like last time looks like they forgot to do the inside of the floor boxes or they didn’t go over that twice. Everybody who came out was very friendly, but whether they did their work to the best of their ability. Somebody obviously messed up. They were all so friendly; it was hard to tell who. I would not use them again in the future.

I needed the deck on the back of my house stained and sealed. I found TIMBERSEAL on Angie's List and decided to call them. Greg Rentschler, the owner, came out to my house two days after my call to take measurements and explain the scope of work. The job consisted of power washing, staining and sealing the deck. With the special cleaning agents and low pressure power washing they employ, the wood looked like it was brand new! Giving the deck time to completely dry, the team returned four days later to perform the work. The team sanded/buffed the handrails and floorboards. Then they applied their product, which is a stain, penetrating oil and sealer. The handrails, floorboards and steps received two coats of the product. Since theirs is an oil based, instead of a paint-like product, I like the fact that I can see the grains in the wood. With the shade of stain we selected, it makes our treated pine lumber look like a nice cedar deck. While I thought the price was a little steep, the guys did a super, professional job, and the deck looks great!

The whole procedure was painless. The crew showed up on time as scheduled, did a good job and left no mess behind. We were very satisfied and will have them back again to restain in the spring.

Totally uneventful! Cleaned the deck and in a few days returned to stain it. Everything done to my satisfaction.

They were responsive. They were good but they were way more expensive than I thought they should have been. I would refer them but they would have to be real flexible with their pricing.

Owner Greg and his staff are terrific, reliable and take pride in their work. Employees who did the work arrived right on time and stayed until the job was done. They were interested in making sure I was happy with their work and were very responsive when the lower patio deck needed a second coat to smooth out some of the areas that soaked up more of the stain than others. The guys were very polite and did a great job cleaning up afterwards. The exterior of my house is looking great thanks to the professional job performed by TimberSeal. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future. I feel they are thorough, trustworthy and do quality work at reasonable price. At the end of the day, that's what you expect when you hire a business to make improvements to one of your largest investments -- your home.

The guy who came out was very competent and friendly. The quote seems to be a fair price for the work that I wanted to have done. They also were the only company that was on the list that I was using, that,I thought, had the local presence to do this job in a timely manner. It took them a couple of days to respond to my first inquiry. The quoted price was $750.

Since the weather was good, our start date began as scheduled. The worker's removed our grill off the deck which was very nice as it's heavy. They power washed the deck, let it dry for a few days, returned and sanded the board's to a smooth finish. With the weather raining on and off they returned the following week and stained the deck. We did have them return as a few spot's were missed and our new paver's surrounding the deck had gotten some stain spot's on them, they were able to get them clean. We are happy with the color we picked and our deck is beautiful.

They were punctual each day and did excellent work. They treated our property like it was their own and made sure our flowers and house were protected where they worked. They were very professional

This company does wonderful work. The owner, Greg, couldn't be more gracious and humble. His crew is courteous and professional. No need for Greg to show up and supervise them. They are all meticulous and conscientious. They are very respectful of your home. The house looks brand new. You can't go wrong when you contract this business.

company never called me back to set up appointment after their office say they would. not good for business

The manager from Timberseal called me back in a timely manner. They were there when they said they would be and the finished product looks fantastic!! Some parts of our wood deck and railings were different colors due to using different stain products. They got all the old stain off and now it looks brand new! I would highly reccomend them and will use them again!

Keep in mind that this is seasonal work. Be patient. The results are worth it. The young man who was here to do the work both times was wonderful. He was very polite and very knowledgable. He worked very hard in 100 degree weather, and yet he still took the time do do a great job. Response time after initial call was slow. Since the project was finished I've had some severe weather damage to a pergola. Greg had told me he had someone he highly recommended. I've called repeatedly and received no response to my inquiry.

Met the Timberseal team at home show and called the next day for estimate. House cleaning and deck clean/stain was reasonable so went with them for the work. What an amazing difference the house cleaning was. All the mold growing (present prior to us buying house) on our 21/2 story tall house was gone with first wash and has not returned since (4 years now). The deck stain was a perfect match to the color we chose from the samples. The second time using the Timberseal team was just for restaining of the decks, 2 years after the first time they stained. this time they had a change in color availability and again the color turned out perfect. Going on 2 years now since last stain and still holding up great, probably won't stain again until next year. They gave a slight discount for repeat customer. We have a ton of landscaping and flowers which they were careful with and suffered no damage. Never had issues with estimates or scheduling availability.
