Description of Work: Cleaned and inspected 2 gas furnaces - pointed out problems, provided a number of options for dealing with them. Good experience!

Description of Work: Evaluated my Sump Pump and replaced it. I also signed up for annual inspection of furnace and AC. The furnace has been inspected and the service men have been helpful, on time and cleans up after their work.

Description of Work: I had the final furnace cleaning and check up that was on the contract I signed up for years earlier, so there was no charge except for the filter that needed to be replaced. The tech was pleasant and courteous. My only negative about the service was the rather hard sell I got to sign up for another contract. The rates are higher now and involve checking plumbing (to drum up business for the plumbing part of the company). It used to be simpler and more congenial for me, at least, when Doler did the furnace servicing.

Description of Work: We called Summers because they had a local Valparaiso address and advertised that they provided emergency weekend service. When we called we found out that they did not agree that our situation was an emergency and they refused to come out until Monday morning. My husband's 92 year old mother lives with us and has a bedroom on the first floor because she cannot climb stairs. We have only one bathroom on the first floor and the toilet was clogged and overflowed every time we tried to flush it. My husband tried to plunge and fix it with no luck. When I explained that without a repair my mother-in-law would not have a bathroom to use for 24 hours, I was informed that was not an emergency. Needless to say we declined the Monday appt offer and called another plumber who came out immediately and fixed it.

Description of Work: Did thorough job checking holding tank. We had low water pressure. Just old pipes, tank was fine. Had another plumbing company (before I subscribed to Angie's list) a week prior tell us we needed a new holding tank and bladder. They wanted $700.00 for repairs. THANKS ANGIE'S LIST!!!!!
