Bowden Ceramic Tile

Wayne always works quickly and leaves the jobsite clean every day. Due to the pattern of the marble, this job required Wayne to layout the tiles and plan the pattern before installation. He replaced exposed wood trim with Corian plastic. The final results are stunning. See photos below. We waited about 4 months to get on Wayne's list. He is worth the wait.

Wayne and his assistant were extremely professional, always punctual, and cleaned up perfectly every day. We are very happy with the work he performed and would use him again as well as recommend him. His price was comparable to three other estimates, so I think it was definitely fair even though expensive.

Once I spoke with him I didn't even get a second opinion. It's the owner and one other person. They layed runners in our house so they wouldn't walk on the carpet. They cleaned up each night before they left. He was one of the easiest and best guys we've worked with.

I called Wayne to see if he could take tile off my kitchen walls. He explained he was very busy and couldn't get to it until late Nov. I understood and being in a time crunch myself asked him for some advice on approximate cost and who I might call to do this. He was very kind and answered all my questions. I would use him in the future if I needed more tile work done.

I think he did an excellent job! He did all the work himself. He was very neat. They put down floor coverings to protect the carpet. They cleaned up every night. The work was good quality and very cooperative. It was excellent.

They were good. Their estimate was fair it just was a little more then I was willing to spend on my bathroom. In the future I would ask them for another estimate.

He arrived promptly as promised for the quote and for the job itself. He was always polite and listened to all our concerns. He did a very high quality job and was sure to leave the area all cleaned up.

Work occurred in February - Mr. Bowden came out for the estimate and brought sample boards with tile, discussed the problems and solutions with us, gave us names and locations of two tile stores he works with for us to look at other tile samples. We picked out the tile based on his specifications and scheduled the work with him. He and his helper were on time, and managed to keep the house clean even though they were tearing out tile and subfloor and hauling it across the upstairs then down and outside. Very nice. It took them about three days to tear everything out to the studs and joists, replace the drain, rework the plumbing for the new shower head and controls, shore up the damaged joists, replace the subfloor, install the cement and rubber liner on the floor and part way up the walls, lay the tile, install the grab bar, new shower head and controls. The finished shower looks INCREDIBLE. In addition, he had a new shower door made for us by an outside contractor and had it installed several days after he finished the shower unit. He gave us the $5000 tip on how to keep the new tile clean and looking great - wipe down the shower with a towel after every use and it keeps water spots and mildew from forming. We couldn't be more pleased. It also impressed us that he does not bill until several weeks after he's finished so that we had an opportunity to use the shower and be completely satisfied with it. We were. A couple months later we were having trouble with the shower head dripping after the water had been turned off. He came out free of charge and found a bit of calcium that had gotten into the system and caused the shower head to leak a little. He cleaned it out and it has been fine ever since. We love our new shower.

We didn't know you had to have an appointment, but when we went in to look at tiles, they were happy to help us anyway. They sent home samples and they helped us choose the right tiles for the design we had in mind. We also picked up the products that were needed for the installation.

We couldn't have asked for anyone better to do our project. Wayne is a professional from start to finish. He is very prompt, courteous and his work is wonderful. He took care to ensure that everywhere he went all the surfaces were protected. He cleaned up his worksite at the end of each day and when he was complete with the project it looked like it has always been there. I would recommend Wayne to anyone and I can guarantee that they will be 100% satisfied with his work and Wayne as a person.

Does excellent work on my shower is absolutely gorgeous. He needs to work for his customer. Communicate. Quote didn't match final cost. Used a subcontractor without ever telling me, until he was done with his part. He was done on Wednesday. Subcontractor didn't come until following Tuesday.

He is always on time when he says he will be here. He always cleaned up before he left. They laid down covering so they wouldn't get my white carpet dirty. His pricing was pretty market standard.

It's a pleasure to watch Wayne and Dan work. They seem to really enjoy the challenge of working with tile. Every grout line is perfectly plumb and the end results are really impressive. These guys know tile.

Wayne did an excellent job. We could not be more pleased. We received two bids, both from Angie's List with Wayne being the lowest. Wayne was easy to work with and worked well with the plumber we contracted with to repair some faulty plumbing. We would highly recommend him for any tile work you may have.

Wayne did a superb transformation of a leaky, mildew stained, eye sore of an embarrassing shower to a beautifully tiled shower stall we are proud to have. We had a good experience with Wayne as he was very respectful of our home and left no messes behind. We found he took pride in his work. The best thing about him is, he comes in, works hard all day, and keeps coming until the job is done. There was no leaving us in "limbo" while he went and did other jobs. We would highly recommend Bowden Ceramic Tile to other people and would definitely use him again.

Wayne was prompt each day and cleaned up each day. He did a great job!

When Wayne was finished the toilet wasn't acting right. He brought the plumber back out to check it out. The toilet was still running after the plumber came. Wayne purchased a part and fixed it on his own time and didn't charge us for the part or his time. He fixed my toilet which wasn't even his job or fault and not many people will go above an beyond like this. He did a beautiful job on our bathroom remodel.

Wayne is a hard working, neat contractor. He got more work done in a day than expected. The job was completed on time and on budget. Wayne asked for no money up front! Wayne was very practical and was able to meet all of our design requirements. He has good sense for long term maintenance of our shower, e.g. he used a single sheet of Corian to cover the seat and curb of the shower where water could stand. He used high quality grout requiring no further sealing.
