The company representative made an appointment to give me an estimate on a retaining wall. He call to cancel this appointment and at that time, made another appointment for the next day. He did not show up for the appointment nor did he call to cancel. I never heard from the company again.

Glenn was courteous, flexible and stayed on the job until completion. Cleaned up after each days work. Couldn't be more pleased. Thanks Glenn!

Glen was AMAZING! He showed up on time, was the friendliest person that I have ever hired, professional, knowledgeable, and did a FANTASTIC job! I would recommend him to everyone! I am definitely going to call him again if I ever need more work! He went above and beyond what we hired him for!

Glen and his team did a great job in repairing both my brick patio and blue stone pool deck. The patio had several broken bricks and was extremely dirty and discolored. They cleaned it to look like it was new and cut out and replaced every broken brick. For the pool deck he cleaned it, cut out all cracked and broken mortar and replaced with new mortar. After all cleaning and repair work was completed, they seal coated both the patio and pool deck. Through out the work, Glen's team was very careful not to break anything and to keep every thing very clean, that included keeping the pool relatively clean even though they were cutting mortar all around the pool. When they were done with all work, all areas were entirely cleaned up. Both patio and pool deck now look very clean and new and I am very pleased.

On January 3, 2012 we purchases a "$99 for 4 Hours of Masonary Repair" from Angies List. We called Glenn Mills Outdoor Solutions several times to set up an appointment for him to come out and do the work. We began documenting our calls: 03/08/12 @ 12:51pm - call back at 5:00 pm because he isn't in front of computer 03/08/12 @ 5:16pm - called back left message 04/03/12 @ 10:12am - called and set up appt with Glen for 9:00am Thursday 04/05/12. 04/05/12 @ 9:00am - Glenn did not show up. 04/05/12 @ 9:55am - called Glenns cell phone and left message. Eventually Glenn was able to make it to our home. He looked over the job which consists of repairing a brick column on our front porch. He took a brick as a sample so he could purchase additional supplies for the job. Glenn has not called or returned to complete the work. We would either like the work completed or the money spent on the coupon returned.

I had been trying to hire a contactor for nearly a year to build and outdoor fireplace on our back patio and found either the prices way too high or the quality of the companies suspect in regards to followup and responsiveness. I found Glenn Mills through Craigslist and he came out and looked at my project and gave me every reason to believe he could make it happen at a fair price. We worked together on designing the layout and provided recommedations on stone selection, etc. He was very easy to work with and rather than just rushing to get it done quickly he took his time to ensure we both would be proud of the final product. There were some instances where he had to leave our job to get to another one that was in a critical state but I found this acceptable as I was more interested in getting the job done right and not rushed. At the end of the day, the result was a great looking outdoor fireplace with wood storage boxes on each side the we love using several times a week. He did us right and we would gladly use him again.

It went very well. He repaired it in a timely manner, showed up on time and cleaned up all the mess!

I liked that he was a smaller company, it was just him and his son. Everything was excellent in regards to the work.

20 years ago a bay window had been installed - unknown to me, that install was not done correctly. I had the window replaced in May and found that there was damage to the brick. The extent of the damage was not clear as there were several tubes of caulking stuck all over the brick. I contacted Glen Mills and he came to the house on May 9, 2012. He presented me with a couple options on how he could do the repair and remove the caulk. While he was here, I had him look over the rest of the brick and we agreed that there were areas on my house that could benefit from tuck-pointing. I have had this done by others in the past and therefore knew his estimate was very reasonable.The overall estimate for everything was 1300.00 - a fair price considering the tedious work ahead to remove the caulking.The work was completed on May 23, 2012 and I could not be more pleased with the result. Not only is the damage repaired, the mortar used for the tuck-pointing was dyed to match. The clean up was good - I have no complaints. I have before and after pictures attached. Glen Mills and his son do excellent work and I would recommend them to anyone.

The owner arrived on time for the estimate, and gave advice about what needed to be done (and what didn't). He provided a written estimate and an estimated start date (a few weeks out). Rainy weather caused a few days' delay, but he called to keep me updated. On the start date, his team arrived on time (8:45; he does not start grinding in residential neighborhoods before 9:00 AM) and got right to work. I work from home, and he worked with me to manage the grinding work (expect it to be noisy) when I was not on phone calls. The job took 3 days. They cleaned up the job site well each day. They also waited until the weather conditions were appropriate to apply the sealer. They also removed the shutters (we plan to replace them) and sealed the brick under them (for a complete job). When it came time to settle, Glenn applied an advertised discount without my asking. During the work, he noted that the chimney cap may need work within the next few years. There was no pressure to get it done, just professional advice about what will be needed, estimated cost and when. When it comes time to do the chimney cap, or to re-seal the house, I will definitely use them again..

He & his crew did a great job. They removed all of the debris from the property. Every question or concern that I had, he answered over the phone or he would come out to the job. After the job was done, I was concerned about one of the walls being too high. Without any problem he fixed it and it looks great. I was looking for someone who was honest and would not take my money and run. I found the honest person in Glenn Mills. I highly recommend him.

I can't say anough good things about Glenn Mills and his work. He was pleasant, professional, conscientious, skilled, and he kept me well informed. The work he did was beautiful. I highly recommend him.

Glenn and his crew took a while to get around to our job, but once they started it was non-stop progress and no complaints about the quality of work. Very pleased with the cost and the completed job!

Glen Mills came out for an estimate. We were looking into a paver patio to pair up with our poured concrete patio. Glen showed up right on time, evaluated our desired design and to our amazement recommended we use a service he doesn't provide. Glen took an hour and made design recommendations, layout suggestions, color schemes, and insight from other jobs he has worked on. In the end he was right that our design would be best achieved with stamped concrete. He was very straight forward and honest during this estimate. We hope to get to use him for stone work in the future.

When Glenn Mills came to my home to give an estimate, it was agreed upon that his serives were more than I needed to do the job. A home project would be just ifne in my case. Wow, what a refreshing experience, an actual honest person. Glenn explained to me how I could do it, and how much time it would probably take. I can tell you if I have any big masonry jobs, there is no doubt whom I'm calling first. It was so gracious to meet a frist class professional. I would highly recommend his services. He did excellent work and his pricing was thousands of dollars less than other companies listed on Angie's List. Since he is so good, he is busy and was a little slow initially getting back to me.

Our chimney was leaking when it rained. So far it seems that they fixed the problem. It appears the quality of work is excellent. They replaced the top crown and the shoulders, cleaned the exterior, and repaired cracks in the brick. He also gave me a discount for going through Angie's List.

We responded to our first pre-paid Angie's List "Big Deal": 4 hours of masonry repair labor for $99. We needed several areas repaired, so asked Mills to let us know how far down the list we could go for the special price, and to estimate the additional cost for the remaining items. He said he was swamped by the ad, and would get back to us in approximately 1 month. That was fine, but we never heard back. Approx. 2 months later, we called them back, and he apologized that he must have lost our information with a computer crash. He promised we would be next on the list due to the glitch, and he would come in a week. He never came. We called back, and due to a family emergency, he said he would send his brother AND offer an additional 4 hours of service to make amends. His brother did come, and gave us approximately 2 hours of extra service, but ran out of mortar, so he left. They left their ladder, and we had to call them several weeks later, to remind them to remove it. Overall the work was fine. The final cost was a very good deal given the extra 2 hours, but I could not recommend them due to the lack of follow-up.

Everything went well from start to finish. Glenn came out and looked at the work that needed to be done and put me on the schedule within a week and the work was done in three days. This is a well run family business with many years of experience. I'm very pleased with the work, clean up and the price. I would recommend them and will use them again in the future if I need to.

Glenn and his son were outstanding. They came out when they said they would to perform the estimate which they did on the spot and quoted a start date about three weeks out that they stuck to. They were extremely careful of the mature bushes around the house and did absolutely no damage. They thoroughly cleaned up. They stuck to their schedule and were completely nonintrusive. We will definitely be using Glenn for other projects that we have planned next Spring.

Glenn showed up for the quote and did the work as well as another guy. He did a great job. I was a bit concerned before the work was done because he did not call to let me know he would not be doing the job on a day it was raining. I assumed he was not there to do the work due to weather but a call would have been appreciated. Other than that they did a great job and cleaned up any mess from the job. I would hire them again.

EXCELLENT! I could not be more pleased! We are considering a room addition to our home, and I've already discussed the brick work for that project with Glenn Mills. At this point, REAL Brick MASONs are extremely hard to find. This is 3rd & 4th Generation Brick Masons and that knowledge and experience is clearly demonstrated in the quality of their work. They arrived as scheduled, performed better than expected, and cleaned up so well upon completion the only evidence they were here is the beautiful job they did on the brick.

If all businesses operated as well as Glenn Mills manages his, Angie's List wouldn't be necessary. Mr. Mills and his crew showed up on time, performed the job as agreed upon and left his work site clean. Updated on June 10, 2012: The work we had done by Glenn Mills did not hold up well. The cement repairs he made lifted and cracked in little-to-no-time. In fairness to him, though, I admit we did not call him back to make good on his work.
