Professional Garage Door

I came home from work late on a Friday night to an unresponsive garage door. When I looked inside, the opener had come detached from the plate on the door itself. I left a nonemergent call Saturday morning which was returned Monday morning. The problem was taken care of in a matter of minutes by Craig, the technician. This is the second time I used this company and have been satisfied both times.

This company was very pleasant to work with. Mr. McPherson was the technician who worked on my door. He was very polite and knowledgable. He installed the new opener quickly and without damaging any of the remodeling work I'd just had done. Everything looks and works great!

Craig was very professional, and they did an excellent job. The only thing I did not like was that they charged a $34 trip charge and a fuel fee. He was here for about five minutes to do the work.

The work went very well. They were on time and were quick to fix the problem. I will use this company again in the future.

Great. I called at 4pm in the afternoon on a Friday. They tried to take care of it that late in the date which was impressive. They dispatched somebody on Saturday, called ahead before they arrived, and repaired the spring quickly. Repairman was courteous and professional.

Jason from Professional Garage Doors came out to check the installation site before sending the installer out, as one of the other companies that I had quote the unit wanted to drill through my weight bearing beam in the garage in order to get the motor where they wanted it. Jason explained to me how he thought they could install the opener without making any modifications to the beam, and for a cheaper price! I was thrilled! The installer arrived earlier than expected, but that worked out for me. He did a great job. The work site was neat and clean when he was done, and he took the time to show me some of the features of the unit and the maintenance steps required.

They were prompt, professional, and courteous. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others in my area.

Technician arrived on time and called first. He was very professional and got right to work. The adjustments were tricky and required a fair amount of troubleshooting. The technician was patient and persisted until it was right. I would use them again.

IT WENT FANTASTIC! My Raynor garage door opener had stopped working some months ago. All of the major local garage door companies "diagnosed" the problem over the phone and told me that the motor had likely seen its finest days since it was 15 years old, and that I would need a new opener, at a cost of about $300 - $400. So I got on the "Raynor" webs site and found a Raynor dealer located in Plainfied, Professional Garage Door Systems, Inc. The guy on the phone said they would do all they can to REPAIR (not replace)that unit because it is one of the best ever manufactured (now made by Chamberlain), and based on how I described the failure it was likely a circuit board - not the entire motor. I called Wednesday afternoon and they were at my house at 8:30 a.m. the next day. The service tech, Craig, was absolutely friendly and fun and knowledgeable about my Raynor unit. He explained that most companies are either unfamiliar with the quality of that make and model or they pretend to be, as the other companies usually advise throwing it out and buying the brand the sell. He repaired it (a new circuit board as they thought), and lubed and tuned and tightened everything. He said they rarely replace that motor, it is so durable and quiet and good. He showed me the old circuit board and pointed out the burn marks where it had failed, explained why it likely failed and installed a new one in no time. He was there less than an hour and I paid $185.00, parts, labor, travel and service call from Plainfield. WHAT A DELIGHT! Plus a good warranty on the new board and labor. And to think I almost blindly ordered a new opener based on the "trusted" telephone diagosis of the Big Boys in town (you know who they are). Spread the good word about these honest, smart and reasonable folks in Plainfield: PROFESSIONAL GARAGE DOOR SYSTEMS, INC.!!!!!!!

They did an excellent job. They sent someone over the same day I called for an estimate, they were extremely flexible on scheduling, and they showed up on time. After they put in the new door to my satisfaction, they cleaned up all the mess and followed up with a phone call to make sure I was happy.

They called before they arrived. They were prompt and very pleasant. After adjusting the garage door they looked at the opener and said that we needed a new gear as the teeth were all worn on the current gear. He showed me what we had and what he was planning to replace in the opener. Once he made the upgrades the door worked perfect.

Installer arrived in morning and disassembled old doors, tracks and ancillary equipment. He installed new insulated doors, new hardware, new tracks, new springs and repositioned one door opener to align with one new door. This was a particularly difficult job, as the house is old, and the doors had low clearance. He took the time to adjust the doors for maximum clearance and smooth operation. This was an all-day event, and he took the time to do things right. I really appreciated his attention to detail and his obvious expertise in this field. If the owner of the buisness reads this report, I vote for giving this installer a bonus; people like this are hard to find. I should mention that he hauled away all the old material and left the area cleaner than it was when he arrived-great job from start to finish.

They were able to dispatch a repairman the same day I called. He was quick and efficient with his repair. Very professional and conscientious in his work. The new springs were successfully adjusted to balance the door correctly.

I called PGD and left a message early Monday morning. I called again Monday afternoon and left another message. Meanwhile, I called 2 other companies that called me back within an hour. I had another company come out and give me an estimate. I was about to set up an installation with that company when PGD finally called me back Tuesday Afternoon. They asked what I needed, gave me a great price (home show special), had to check to see if they had my door in stock and an installation time available. They called me back quickly offering installation 3 days later. Installation went great, the installer was knowledgeable and professional. Two and a half hours later, I had a brand new garage door! I gave a B on responsiveness as they almost didn't get my business because they took over a day to call back when other companies called within an hour. Overall great experience!

Excellent, prompt service. Tech was efficient and polite. Very satisfied. Got Angie's discount also.

I called, admittedly, because their number was on the back of the garage door. They scheduled an appointment for two days, then called back in a few hours that a repairman was in the area. They came over in 15 minutes and had it repaired, including oiling both our garage doors, in 30 minutes. My only complaint would be the $5 "fuel charge" since I was available while they were in the area, instead of them coming back on another day, but it's only $5.

VERY WELL, HE WAS VERY KIND AT EXPLAIN EVERYTHING TO US, AND HE ALSO CHECKED AND ADJUSTED THE SETTINGS ON THE DOOR AND OILED THE HINGES TOO.

The installation technician was prompt and professional.

They've been out twice the past three years to our house to maintenance our garage door. Always a pleasure to work with!

They did fine work and I have no complaints. They were right on time and they did everything they said they would.

We were covered by an HMS warranty, so the company was chosen for us. They were extremely easy to work with and came out promptly. Because the job required just labor, we did not file a claim with the warranty. The repair man was very good about charging the minimum. Still works great after 3 weeks.

My door broke on a Friday afternoon. The company had it fixed before 4 P.M. that same day. Unfortunately, springs aren't covered by home warranties but the service man let me know that up front.

We were recently struck by lightening during a summer storm. We called Professional Garage Doors first thing the morning after the storm when we realized our garage doors were malfunctioning and we couldn't open them. They were considerate, tried to assist us in diagnosing the issue over the phone and thus allowing us to self repair and avoid the expense of their visit. When that didn't work, they gave us a morning time frame for same day service and arrived as promised. Jeff was the service technician. He was pleasant, professional and efficient. We couldn't be more pleased with our service experience from this company. Two thumbs up!

I was pleased with them. They did a great job on the door and they were very fast and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone for garage door repair.
