Professional Garage Door

Found Professional Garage Door through Angie's List. I emailed them and was quickly in contact with Justin. I showed Justin a picture of exactly what I wanted and he gave me a price based on the measurements I gave him. I had already had 1 company out and priced out the door through Home Depot, Lowes, and Menards. All the other quotes I received were much higher and I was not entirely sure if I was getting what I wanted. Justin was excellent at communication even around my crazy hectic schedule - often we texted back and forth because that was all I could do. Once I agreed to the price he even gave me an Angie's List discount of 10% which was great. We schedule the free measurement/estimate to confirm we had everything correct. We then scheduled the installation for first thing in the morning yesterday. Jason, the installer, showed up first thing in the morning as planned and everything went extremely smooth. I had no idea how much work this was but Jason made it look easy, like a pro. I am very happy with the new door, the new look, and confident this door will last for many many years while also increasing the value of my home and saving on energy costs. I will use this company if I ever need another door!!

I called and was able to immediately schedule an appointment for the following day. Justin came out to do the quote, he was polite, efficient, and patient. I had a few follow up questions I sent through out the process to Justin through email, and he was fast to respond before and after I signed the contract. The installer was on time, polite, and the door looks great.

The guy was very good. He fixed what was wrong with the door and even upgraded it. Their price was very competitive.

Everything went great I will definitely call them first next time I need any garage door work.

I called them at 7:00 am Monday morning and he said I was #2 on the list. He came out right away which was really nice because I had somewhere I needed to be. He was friendly, quick, and explained everything to me.

I called Professional Garage Doors around 3:10 in the afternoon. They said their serviceman was almost finished with his last job and would be right out. He arrived about 4:05 and had the door back in service in about 15 minutes. I was very pleased as I had to go into work that day at 5:00.

They were very responsive...arrived within a couple of hours. Fixed the springs on my garage door. Very personable and friendly. He took the time to point out some things to watch for in the future, but was not trying to sell me services I did not need. The price was fair, the customer service was excellent. I would recommend them highly.

One of the springs broke on our garage door. I called this company since they were the ones that installed our door and the reviews on Angie's List were excellent as well. I called this morning and there was somebody here within an hour even though I told them it was fine if they couldn't do it today. Darrell replaced both springs in a short time and was very helpful and friendly. I would most definitely do business with this company again.

We have three single garage doors and two of them had been acting up recently. One would pop back up when trying to close the door and the other would stop mid-way and would not lift up completely. On President's Day (2/20/12), I was already home that day for an unrelated installation when one of the garage doors would not open all the way. I looked up a garage door contractor on Angie's List and came across Professional Garage Door. I reviewed a handul of member reports and decided to give them a call based on their high ratings. I called late in the morning and Professional was able to come out same day. Craig called to give me a heads up that he was on his way to my home and arrived around the 3-4pm timeframe. He was very courteous (and also a good sense of humor) and professional. He looked over the doors in question and determined that one needed a gear and sprocket replacement and the other a torque adjustment. He finished the work very timely and added a few finishing touches at no extra charge. The doors have been working good since the service call. I would use Professional again and would recommend them to others.

I sent an email to the company on Sunday evening. They responded Monday morning and sent someone out Monday afternoon. He analyzed the problem and came back Tuesday and replaced the garage door opener. Everything was in perfect working order when we got home from work. Great experience! I will definitely use them again.

This company responded quickly to our phone call and sent someone who was quite professional, living up to his company name. He was friendly and did the job well on replacing and programming a new garage door opener and this in the midst of a moving company working all around him. It seemed a bit pricey but apparently this may be the going price for this type of job. What I remember the most about this man was that he was happy to be perfoming this trade.

Thursday evening, when I went out to close the garage door, it would not close. The garage door opener would not work. I managed to close the door manually. I searched Angie's list for a service company and came across Professional Garage Door. Since it was after hours, I went to their website and filed a service request on-line. The company representative called me the next morning at 8:00 a.m. I explained the problem and was told they could send someone out that morning. Craig, the serviceman, arrived within 2 hours. I told him I knew nothing about garage door openers and he very patiently explained the operation and maintenance. He was very courteous, friendly and thorough. I will definitely use this company again, if necessary.

Our garage door would not go up and down, so we called them for a repair. Everything was excellent. They were prompt, courteous, and arrived on time. I just ended up needing a replacement gear, and the service man was polite and professional.

Yesterday when I arrived home my garage door would only go up a few inches and stopped. I called Professional Garage Door Systems and told the gentleman on the phone what the door was doing. He told me to go to the garage and look above the garage door and see if there was a gap in the spring and it sounded as if the spring had broken. Sure enough he was correct. They sent a very pleasant and responsive service person out to the house that same afternoon. They called when they were on their way to the house, arrived promptly and completed the work in less than an hour. In addition to fixing the broken spring, we had the second spring replaced also. I was told that these springs usually lasted somewhere between 7 to 9 years and ours would be 10 years old in just a couple of more months so I guess it was time for it to go. The service person went above and beyond what was required of just replacing the springs. He made adjustments to the door rails, tighten bolts and adjusted the pressure on the door at no extra charge. Although I was a female home alone, I felt totally safe and at no time did I feel spoken and quot;downand quot; to as sometimes serviceman will do to female clients. Although he explained he would never tell me how to do the repair myself due to the liability and safety issues, he explained each step of what he was doing, gave hints on how to make the door last longer and run more smoothly and answered all my questions.I am very pleased with the service I received yesterday because of the prompt response, the great service and the very reasonable price of the total service call. Thank you and I will use this company again when the need arises.

This was a great experience. The repair man was extremely friendly, polite, and very helpful. He did the work quickly and offered to make an additional (very inexpensive) repair as well. He was very respectful of our house and took great efforts to not invade our privacy. At the end the door works great, it sounds much better than it did before it broke.

Our gate operator was first affected by a suspected lightning strike following a series of storms in April. We called for service in late April, which was scheduled promptly. The problem was diagnosed as the result of damaged infrared sensors, which we had previously confirmed were not working. The sensors were replaced. A few days later, the gate operator began to operate sporadically again. Service was again requested, which was not performed until June. Additional damage was discovered to other components. An estimate to repair or replace the operator was requested, and after 4 phone calls, was received about a month later (misfiled was the excuse). The estimate was approved, and the parts were ordered with an expected delivery in one to two weeks. One month later, now August, and no communication of the status for the parts. The parts were finally scheduled to be installed, except the wrong parts were received from the manufacturer. Repeated phone calls and emails finally resulted in a subcontractor who was given a work order to complete our service call. No one bothered to inform us of the subcontractor's involvement. The parts were installed in early September. The subcontractor identified further damage, which he alerted Professional Garage Doors to order the needed part. No word was received from PDG despite phone calls and emails (again), so we contacted the sub directly, who was happy to help and complete the project. Length of problem: April to October. Ridiculous. Something has changed at this company. We used them for several years with good service before this incident. There is no excuse for a lack of communication, returning phone calls or emails, or timely service. We had filed a claim with our insurer for the lightning damages, and the lack of timely action by PDG further complicated our claim and reimbursement.

My garage door was not working properly so I contacted Professional Garage Door at around 9:30am. I spoke with Jason. He was very friendly. I explained that I needed to have the garage door repaired that day. He told me That he would get a technician to come out same day. He discussed prices and was very helpful. Craig contacted me at around 11:15am to let me know he was on his way. He arrived promptly and was very professional and helpful. He answered all my questions and was very friendly. I was very satisfied with the pronpt and professional service. Thanks

Excellent! Our garage door spring broke on Sunday. We called and left a message at Professional on Sunday evening and we received a return call first thing Monday AM. Darrell happened to be on a job in the area and was here within an hour. The garage door is quiet and smooth again. We have used Professional twice now. Once to replace our garage door opener and now the springs and always a pleasure from the office to Darrell, serviceman. Darrell is excellent at his job!

I called them this morning, and they were able to come out with an hour, even though it wasn't an emergency. The experience was excellent. They arrived on time and fixed the issue. They are dependable. Their pricing was competitive. Everything was great!

I called Professional Garage Door Systems and informed them that I have a coupons for a $69.00 maintainance/ tune-up. They set-up the appointment for the next day. The service man showed up a couple of minutes early and was very friendly and professional. He got to work, and he cleaned up any mess that was made. After he completed the work, he explained some things to me and asked if I had any questions. Great Job!

The salesman was very knowledgeable. Gave me an estimate on Monday of no more than $250.. Called me on Tuesday and arranged for a service call frrst thing Thursday. I called them on Thursday at 9:30 and asked where my service man was. Told he was finishing a job up in Plainfield. At 11:30 I called again inquiring where he was. Told still in Plainfield installing a spring and should be there by 1:00 for sure. Repairman did appear before 1 pm and did the work for $100 less than estimated. Very high quality work and vvery satisfied with final work. He said he was an installer and was not the man service was telling me that was coming. I was not informaed at the time of estimate there would be a trip cost. It added $34.50 to my bill. I am willing to give 2nd chance and would recommend as everyone makes mistakes.

The inital replacement was installed and worked will te serviceman was there, however as soon as he left the garage door remote would not open the door. Once I made contact the returned the following monday and tried to get the openers to work they would not. They determine that the unit may have a bad digital board so they installed a new one while they were there and re-set the door to the correct signal.after a couple of hours trying to get the unit working and could not . The service decided that the best course of action would be to replce the new unit that they had just installed, Once the new unit was installed it seemed like it was going to work. The next day we again had problems with the new unit only working on one of the remotes but we never were sure when it would work and continue to have problems, after calling the company back and speaking with Jason they made a decision that there must be a continuing frequency that they could not locate and decided that they would have to call the Liftmaster the company that sold the unit and have them send out a new high frequency digital board. They advised me that it might take several days before they could get the new board in to correct the problem. those few days turned into about ten days because they were demanding that the new board be sent at no charge because of the problem with the other two boards that had been sent and did not work. Finally the new board came in, was installed and as an extra bonus they also installed a keypad on the outside of my garage because of all of the problems that had occurred. All of this at no additional charge to me. During this time Jason and the staff at the office that I spoke with as well as the two service men the come to my home were always professional and kept me informed by phone explaining the problems they were having and making sure that I was aware that they would solve the problem and complete the work as promised. I would highly reccomend this company to anyone looking for any type of replacement or service on their garage doors . I would like to thank Jason and the service workers that came to my house and who worked very hard to find and fix the problems that we had. I will continue to be a loyal customer of Professional Garage Door systems in the future. Stephan Hunt

The spring broke on our garage door on a Saturday afternoon, basically locking our cars in as we couldn't open the door manually either. We called Professional Garage Door and the gentleman was able to tell what type of door it was over the phone, quoted me a price, and indicated he could have someone here in an hour. 45 minutes later the tech was here and the job was complete in about 30 minutes. The technician was very friendly and was careful when working around our cars. 1.5 hours from call to completion on a Saturday afternoon - what more can you ask for?! Actually - I did mention Angie's List to the technician and I received a $10 discount! Fantastic service from start to finish and reasonable pricing. I would fully recommend them.

They were initially able to diagnose the problem over the phone and gave us a very close estimate. The serviceman even made a suggestion for possibly fixing it without coming out in an effort to save us money, but our opener style did not have the reset button he suggested. When he arrived, he tried several diagnostics in case we did not need a new logic board, but the diagnostics failed. He then replaced the board and reprogrammed both of our garage door openers and assisted me with retraining both of our cars to the new codes.
