Wood Medic did a fantastic job on our deck. They promptly returned my call for an estimate and set a date to come out. Lyndon was here just as stated and explained his process and the type of stain he would recommend. I had been doing some research on deck stains so I knew some of the details of that part. We chose Wood Medic based on their reviews from Angie's List, the type of stain and the application explanation, and their professionalism.Their price was fair and they gave me a $50 off deal for being an Angie's List member. We settled on an approximate date and time but since it was spring and weather can be tricky we had to delay it a little. Once the weather was good they had a guy come out and power wash the deck and waited a couple days to let it dry out. They came back to stain and did a excellent job. They stained the whole deck with brushes so as to not get the over spray everywhere. They covered my shrubs and the grass so that none would get all over them. Had to have them come back a few days later and do some touch ups on the ends of the boards and a couple other boards that were needing another coat. That also was done without issues and now the deck looks amazing. Couldn't have asked for better service and communication with Wood Medic.

They were great with their communication and their work. Our deck was a tough job because it was painted by the previous owner with the wrong kind of paint. They called every night to give us an update while the job was going on and we really appreciated that. They cleaned up and were careful about their work. The price was very fair and was a good value for great work.

They very throughly spray washed the deck. The next day a crew stained the deck. It now looks brand new. The stain they use is superior. They stained our deck after it was built in 2010 and did an excellent job then. Would highly recommend their service

It looks nice and they did leave some supplies around in the grass and I did not like that. They did a good job and the actual job was good.

They protected the brick and windows by placing cover over all areas. The deck was tented and the stain applied. When a few areas needed a little more stain, it was done quickly. As a result of their work, the deck looks exceptional (and like new). Wood Medic is a very good company to work with and I would recommend them without hesitation.

I was very impressed with this family owned business from my first contact with them. The owner not only came in person to provide estimates, but also took a personal interest in each phase of our projects. He, and his wife, were extremely responsive to all of our questions and phone calls. The owner was often on site at the beginning of each phase to ensure that the work would be completed appropriately. The crews were always courteous and performed their tasks in a thorough and professional manner. I highly recommend this company and will look forward to doing business with them again in the future. It was a pleasure doing business with Wood Medic!

Very professional. My plants were covered and not harmed. The deck was cleaned and stained. I have recived so many compliments, they did an excellent job.

Lyndon came to the house and walked the deck, explained what he felt needed done. He answered all of the questions I ask in a very honest way. Told us what they would do and gave us a copy of the proposal with the price on it. I let him know when I would like it done and he told me that it would be. Later I got a call that is could be done sooner. They give me a date to be there to power wash and arrived just when they said they would. The crew came on the appointed date to stain and we had a small amount of rain so after looking it over Lyndon had his crew leave and come back late afternoon when the wood was dry. The stain was done and the crew did a great job. I am very pleased with their work and the company . I will keep their number for future jobs.

The guys did a wonderful job washing and painting my fence. They were very meticulous, as they paid much detail to covering the fence. Really nice job!

The scheduling was very easy - prompt in returning telephone calls. The actual service was simply just o.k. The deck was power washed on a Friday. The stain was put on Monday. The initial staining job was poorly done as not enough stain was applied. I called and emailed pictures to show the company what it looked like. They agreed to come back out and apply more stain. I purchased the stain, they agreed to come back out and not charge labor(?) One shouldn't have to pay twice to get the job done right. Once they were completely done the job did look nice, however. It was just a bit of a hassle to get it done correctly.

I don’t like anything about them. I called them for an estimate because I am going to have a very, very large deck restored and repainted, also with a dock. I had problems and gave him that information and it was going to be a very large project so I asked them for a quote and I said I was getting quotes from other people as well. It took them a while to call back and when they called back they made an appointment for the same day and a couple of hours before they cancelled the appointment. They said not worry but will call me on Friday the next day and they never called. They finally called one day and said they were in my area and if we are there and if they can come over now, so lucky that my husband was at the house and we were trying to stay around every day and all day for these people. Their quote was higher than many of the companies that I got quote for and the others offered warranty on their products. They were very under whelming. They never came out to do the work.

I have only interacted with whom I believe is his spouse and she has been extremely nice and very professional. She is very timely in returning my calls.

only problem I had was the communication. Was not inform that the stain will be darker then expected but will lighten over time. But the color was perfect about 6 months later.

They are awesome. The service was great. They were on it and they came on the date that was scheduled a month prior to the appointment date. They came out within a day of my request for a quote and they had the quote to me that same day. They not only call to remind of appointments they email as well. Our neighbor will be using them after he saw them do the work on our home.

I would highly recommend Wood Medic. I met with Lyndon the owner of the company and showed him our deck that we needed help with. This deck is only a year old and the previous sealer was not applied evenly and we had some black areas and uneven coverage. Lyndon looked at the situation and explained what he thought they could do and how they would approach the project. After meeting with other companies, I decided I felt comfortable with Wood Medic and set up a date for them to do the work. They followed up with a call the week before and told me what days they would be there and they did exactly what they said they would do and their guys did an excellent job. They were very conscientious about protecting the house and landscape and when they left you could not tell anyone had been there doing work. We were very pleased with their work and I appreciate the fact that they mailed me an invoice versus getting payment up front or the day of the job. I thought this showed they were very professional and it saved me time with not needing to be there. Again, Great Job!

They showed up as scheduled. Performed the work in a professional manner. Took care to cover all bushes adjacent to our deck. Cleaned up after themselves. We couldn't have been more please and would highly recommend them.

Awesome job as usual. I have used Wood Medics for the 3rd time now on my decks. On time, professional, efficient. They do a great job of cleaning up. I would recommend to anybody!

Wood Medic was very responsive in setting up the appointment and very professional on the job. The price was the same as two years ago, no price increase, and the coupon from Angie?s List helped as well. We are very satisfied with Wood Medic and will not hesitate to call them again in the future.

They arrived on time and completed the job quickly. There were stains left from the seal on the concrete, but they came back to clean them.

Reasonably priced and the work was excellent

Was pleased w/ the quoting process and initial responsiveness. However, I work from home and thought it was odd there was only one verbal communication (to announce arrival) on the first day of service when the deck was power washed. I received no contact on the second day before or after work was complete - just walked into the kitchen to see that the deck had been stained. I'm accustomed to reviewing the work and having an opportunity to ask questions after the work is done. On day 1, I noticed surface was pretty wet and the vertical faces of the deck were significantly darker than the rest. Didn't care for that inconsistency, but figured it would lighten up on it's own. I also immediately noticed the new aluminum rails had stain on them and did not appear to be wiped down. What bothers me the most is the oily finish never seemed to completely dry - it felt like you were skating on the deck when walking and still does to a degree, in spite of ample weather. I told the kids to stay off the deck until fall and winter passes to keep from tracking the residue in the house (taking a paper towel across the deck turned it brown on the second day and even into the second week after finish). I phoned Wood Medic and asked them to stop by when they were in the area, to make as convenient for them as possible and prevent a special trip. I wanted to ask them A) if this was normal and B) to clean up the new rails. A month passed and I had not heard from them and still haven't. I had to use acetone to remove the stain from the rails. Spending time on a service I paid for obviously impacts my overall opinion. Given that Wood Medic came highly recommended and Angie's List reviews are strong, I assume this is an anomaly and would still consider using them in the future. But unfortunately my experience was not up to par. For perspective, my average rating for Angie's List is an A. 12/4/13 Update: Based on response of provider below, would not use them again. The spindles were never cleaned by Wood Medic - I did it a month after the follow up request was made. The surface questions were never addressed outside of the "cooler temps" remark over the phone. It was abundantly clear was what was expected in this case, and the lack of follow-up is simply confirmed in the provider's response. How could anyone know the member was still not pleased with the results if there was no follow-up to ascertain it? It's not just a tenant of ordinary customer service, it's basic common sense.
