DON'S PLUMBING

They called before arriving and were here early. They looked at all the items on our list that we wanted to talk about, including replacing water shut offs, future bathroom remodels, and our immediate concerns of fixing a toilet and the leaking pipe. The leaking pipe has been fixed and the toilet was reseated with a new flapper installed. Information regarding the best way to handle future items we need to address was given. We are very pleased and plan on calling them for future work.

Don Jr. arrived expecting just to help get new faucet & spicket in place on the new tub surround that my husband had installed. Turned out plumbing needed to be completely re-ran to line up properly including new wall removed to gain access. Basically what I am sure he assumed was an easy 1 or so job turned into a 5 + hour project including a run to the store to get the needed parts. Since this is our only shower and it had been out of commission for 3 days already I truly appreciate him taking the time to complete the project so we could have a working shower once again! We will be using their services again & I truly appreciate their level of service.

Don Jr. answered the phone immediately, told me he could schedule me on Tuesday, Dec. 2nd and showed up promptly. He was very professional and fixed the drain, and pipe. He had to go and buy the right part in Granger. We realized after he left that there might not be enough room to put the sheet rock back up on the ceiling and called him. He came right back the next morning and fixed it!. I would absolutely recommend Don Sr. and Don Jr. for any kind of plumbing job. They are outstanding and very reasonable. I am thrilled with the job Don Jr. did and will definitely call again if we have any problems with plumbing.

Don Jr was here by 8:30 a.m., 11/5 to complete installation in 1/2 bath of toilet, vanity hook up & new faucets. He, also installed new utility tub in utility room & faucet.

o Don Jr. arrived around 11:00 a.m. to install a pvc trap for our washer. After our utility room remodel the trap was leaking. When new utility tub was installed Don Jr installed drain from washer to utility tub. I said I would really like it drain through original trap behind washer. He called 11/6 & said he would install a new pvc trap to drain as before. All went well, very pleased with Don's Plumbing. He arrived on time & we reviewed all work to be done & he started with main water shut off valve, then he continued with all other shut off valves & outside faucet. In order to work on shut off valve & outside faucet he had to climb down into our crawl space, he worked without complaint & just kept on going. He cleaned up after each project. He was courteous & a great plumber. We will definitely call Don's Plumbing next time we need a plumber. A word to the wise they are very busy & usually need a 2 week window. Don's, son Don did our work.

Upon returning home from an extended vacation we noticed that we had a lead in the elbow under the sink. On April 20th I called Don's Plumbing and left a message for a call back. Don, Sr. returned my call that same day and was able to come out the same day. He reviewed the work that needed to be done and quoted me a price of $200 which I thought was fair. He said due to his schedule he could not complete the work right away. Since we could still us the sink without any problems we agreed to delay the repairs. Don was very professional and friendly. We subsequently called him to get a quote for installing new shut off valves and was quoted $30 for both with no labor charge. We scheduled a date of May 1 for the work to be done. On that date Don Jr. showed up and did the job, spending a little over an hour to complete. Jr. is a very pleasant person also. He did a great job and we are happy with the work. We have additional work which we will be doing with Don in the future.

Don was willing to come out and speak with me and work with my home warranty company when other companies weren't. He showed up promptly, spoke with my home warranty company, and got right to work. I thought I had a slow draining sink issue, but he showed me exactly why it was draining slowly, and what I needed to do instead. In addition to fixing my toilet issues, he also added some caulk to my bathroom sink to affix it to the cabinet while he was here. Don was very nice and professional, and I am happy with his service. I will definitely call him again for any future issues requiring a plumber.

Showed up as scheduled. Performed all work that was quoted and took care of the plumbing inspection. They were very thorough and took their time.

He showed up on time. He was there when he said he was going to be there. I’ve used him several times and I’m really happy with his work. He’s very 1.32 and he answers all my questions. He’s respectful of the house and he does good work.

Someone else looked at it and said the work was beyond their services, and that an expert plumber would have to tear out walls to get to the problem. Looked on Angie's List and found Don's Plumbing was relatively close and had good reviews. Don's son came out. (had to schedule - which I feel means their service is in demand) Fix was great, relatively quick and price that was far lower than I had anticipated.

We noticed that our ceiling was bulging from something that was in the upstairs bathroom. He knew right away that he was probably the toilet. He would have come out that day but since it was January 1. We decided to wait until the next day. The quote that he said over the phone was the same as the price we paid at the end. Excellent service.

I was very please with everything about this company and their service. From the first phone call, it was obvious that Don was a professional. I got a very accurate estimate and an appointment for a reasonable timeframe to get the work done. Don Jr. came out on time and was very pleasant and did the job quickly and well. He thanked me for the business as was done in a little more than an hour. I will use them again anytime I need plumbing services.

The owner came out the day before to make sure we had everything he needed because we bought our own sink, faucet and disposal. We had removed the old sink the day before and had to saw some of the countertop so the sink would fit, so they were ready to go. Don Jr. showed up the next morning at 8:30 which is when I expected him, got the job done in about 3 hours, everything works great so far. The cost was more than the estimate because he had to do some work in the basement on the pipes because the disposal was low in the cabinet and the drain needed adjusting. Previously, there was no disposal there. Happy with the prompt response to my call and work was done well. I gave the price a N/A only because I don't know where it is compared to average.

I have never used this provider, so I do not know why Angie's list keeps bugging me to provide a review for them. So, I am putting in this generic review showing that no work was performed, and that for the ratings, I am putting N/A for everything that I can. I am giving a B for Don's, only because I do not want their rating to be really poor, when I have had no experience with them, whatsoever.

They're great. They're very clean. They leave no mess. They're prompt. They're always in the good mood. I say that because I've had plumbers here that were in the bad mood. But, they just seem like they like their work and they're great at it. I highly recommend them.

Started with blowing out the lines to get loose rust/debris out. After many tries and trips up and down the stairs, finally had to replace the connector valve for hot and cold faucets. Wow do we have water pressure now. Did not know we could get this good.

Excellent. Don jr was prompt, explained the work and gave me a referral for refrigerator work that they don't do.

Don Jr. was punctual -actually called to ask if he could come early. He diagnosed the problem - wasn't what I thought it was - and repaired it. While he was here he adjusted a problem shower head too. The work was completed quickly in a highly professional manner. The price was very reasonable. I will definitely call Don's plumbing again. Because it is a small operation, they may not be the best business for an emergency plumbing issue. But if you can wait a day or two, I would recommend them highly.

The job done for us by Don's Plumbing required quite a bit of work, because of the way it's set up. He was on time and did what he was supposed to do. There were no issues. He was very good.

Don Mow Sr. came to my home to give me a bid on the rough-in plumbing for a bathroom remodel. He was on time and professional. I explained the job to him - which included the rough-in for a wall-hung toilet. He left and said that he would get back to me with a bid after I send him the spec sheets for the toilet. He did, but he declined to do the job saying that he wasn't equiped to do the work necessary for the wall hung toilet. I asked him for another bid, this time for a floor mounted toilet. Mr Mow in turn sent me the bid, and I asked him to put me on his schedule. In the meantime, I sent his bid to my remodeler/architech to look over. He had a few technical questions about the bid, so I sent the questions to Mr. Mow for clarification. I told him before hand that we were not questioning his integrity or professionalism- we just wanted more detail about the bid. Well, he took offense about being questioned and declined to do the job. Mr. Mow may be a wonderful plumber, but he needs to dial-down his ego. It is not beyond reason for a client to ask questions about a bid. This insures that everyone is on the same page with their expectations, and it helps to prevent misunderstandings down the road.
