The window originally installed had rot damage. Dave Custer from Window makeover rebuilt the window frame and substantially less cost than replacing the whole window with a new one.. He did an excellent job. The company always has. This is not the first one that has had to be replaced.

From start to finish this is one of the best service providers I have ever used. They were responsive from my first call with the estimate provided by Brett. He even came out a second time for some additional windows. All work was done in a single day because they sent out a large crew. Raymond and Kevin were the primary supervisors and did a great job of keeping the crew going and getting the work done. Each and every team member greeted me with their name and were courteous and friendly. They made a point of cleaning up after themselves. I could not have asked for a better experience. I will definitely use them again for any type of window issues, but I feel very comfortable that it will not be to the windows that they repaired!

We had used them in the past and they did a great job in replacing some glass and rotted wood on windows in our old house that we had to have done prior to selling our home so I called them again to replace a broken window. They came out measured the window and ordered the glass. It did take a while before the glass came in, but they replaced the glass and Dave did an outstanding job. Very professional.

The crew arrived on time with all the necessary materials. They handled unexpected problems with ease and cleaned up afterward. The end product looks great.

Communication was very poor throughout the whole process and they often left me wondering whether they had the in-house expertise to do an unusual window on a 30 year old house. Neither salesman (who gave estimate) or measurement guy (who was supposed to do the work) understood the window setup and company decided to check with manufacturer. Never got back to me after that and we passed the originally estimated time for work completion. This required numerous contacts by me before they sent out a third employee who felt he could do the work (note that we had replaced a similar window 5 years ago using Window Alternatives, their former company, apparently there are no original employees or owners left, and a glass company with no problems so I knew it could be done). While I think they are fine for non-complicated repairs, and might consider using them again, my experience is that they have limited expertise on staff to handle anything out of the ordinary. I understand complications and construction delays but they really dropped the ball on handling this and failed to communicate in any timely way without me initiating it. So although the work is now done to my satisfaction, I had to push and prod and pull to get the job done much later than originally agreed.

Initially I had written a review and gave a D for not hearing back. They did call a day after that and did a great job replacing outer window and patio door glass. Thanks!

We were very happy with this company. Dave was very professional and explained the process for a window makeover very well. He kept in touch with us on where we were on the schedule to have the work done. They saved us money by not having to replace our windows. We have wooden windows, which they replaced the rotted out wood. The men that came out to do the work were very professional. The company has a good process for fixing your windows. We highly recommend Window Makeover.

The seal between the panes of glass in my picture window broke, allowing a film to form inside my windows. I contacted the window manufacturer to find out how to make a warranty claim, and they responded by letting me know that they had shipped the glass to the original distributor. I needed to find someone to pick up the glass and replace the old window. I tried several companies listed on Angie's List, but while they were happy to replace the whole window, they wouldn't just replace the glass. I also tried a few other companies that specialized in glass replacement, but they wouldn't even return my calls. Fortunately, Window Makeover was happy to help me. The cost was much higher than I'd been expecting, given that I'd had a glass in a casement window replaced the year before - the cost of labor alone with Window Makeover was nearly double what parts and labor had cost for the previous job. However, Window Makeover was the only company I could find that was willing and able to do the job, so I went with them. Brett, the estimator, seems to have been pretty slow in getting my work started. I accepted their bid on May 1 (a Thursday), and he didn't run the credit card for the deposit until Monday. The following Friday, I finally called them back to find out when they could schedule a time (Brett had promised they would call me early in the week), and the guy I spoke with said he had just received the paperwork that morning. Other than that, things went smoothly. Bob and Pedro showed up on the 15th, at exactly the time they promised, and got the work done in about an hour and a half. It looks great, the guys were really professional and friendly, and I'd use them again if I had to.

From the first visit to inspect the job every person was very friendly and professional. I was updated frequently regarding the progress of fabricating my window parts. The installers were easy to have in the house and respectful of our home. They left it looking just as it was when they arrived. I like that whenever possible old wood part were replaced with aluminum clad parts.

Replacing a window in an awkward spot, second story above an outdoor pond, seemed daunting. Dave Custer did it very professionally.

I decided to get estimates on repair of my 15 year old vinyl windows. Several no longer stayed up, and were misaligned. Window MakeOver provided me an estimate, and a week or so later, came out to measure and order replacement parts. While the time to get the specific parts for these windows took some time, a short time after parts were received I now have perfectly functioning windows again. Kevin arrived on time, was very pleasant and professional, and once the repairs were complete, made sure I was happy with the work, taking time to have me try each window before he left. I'm quite happy with the work received by Window Makeover and Kevin.

It went from bad to worse. The receptionist knows my voice since I call so much. I'm just trying to get an old wooden window repaired before someone or something crawls into it.

Went very well, it was a big job with very large second floor windows. The finished product looks good. Was performed exactly as expected. The workers were efficient and polite. The area was well cleaned up upon completion. Finished the job in one day even though they had to stay late.

LOVE MY NEW WINDOWS!! Owner Craig Harrell and his Tech Team Dave, Pedro, Don and Brian did a fantastic job replacing my windows and back storm door. They were all pleasant and fun to work with. Dave was especially fun to work with and really cared about what I wanted done and he kept telling me he had my back! When I saw something I didn't think was right he would correct it or explain to me why it was done that way. I learned quite a lot from the whole crew! Craig showed up to the job everyday they were here and did a lot of the work himself. All the guys took their shoes off at the door whenever they entered my house which I really appreciated. They went over and above my expectations and when I asked them to replace all the interior trim so I could stain the interior to match my bay and garden window they were very eager to please me. My new windows are beautiful and will never rot again. They do the outside trim in a PVC composite material that looks and feels like real wood and will never rot. All my windows are double pane with double locks and tilt in for cleaning and very well insulated and sealed. Dave and Don even rehung my house numbers and mailbox for me and all the guys always cleaned up after themselves! Overall I am very happy with the work performed. The only thing that was not great was some communication after the deposit. Despite being assigned a project manager, I found myself reaching out for updates and they made a decision to make a slight change and that was never communicated to me until I saw the amount I owed at the end of the job was different. The change ended up being a great deal for me, so I'm not complaining too much, but if it was not a great deal our conversation would have gone much differently. Brett came out and did a very thorough job with the estimating. He was also helpful answering questions before the sale. We went thru multiple iterations of the quote since this was a large job and I was managing a budget that includes other things I need done to the house this year. He was very patient thru all of that. The crew that came out, led by Eric, was fantastic. They were very courteous, took steps to minimize the mess inside, took their shoes off on my hardwood floor, and worked very efficiently overall. They really went above and beyond in getting the job done, amazingly all in one day. They even took the time to look at another window I forgot to point out to Brett that wasn't closing correctly, which I thought may have a frame problem and need to be repaired, They were able to make a quick fix in 10 mins using a piece they had removed from one of the rebuilt windows and I probably won't need to rebuild that for another few years. As additional windows need rebuilding probably in 5 years, I will be calling Window Makeover for sure. I easily saved 50% over the cost of complete replacement.

We had Brett come out to see how much it would cost to repair our windows. He pulled a piece of metal out and that actually fixed the window. He didn’t charge me to do that. I did ask for a quote to replace our 20 year old windows and he gave me one. He fixed another thing as well and didn’t charge me anything for that either. He was a really nice guy, didn't pressure us. I will recommend this company to everyone I know.

We had had a couple of appointments scheduled that were cancelled due to rain. At one of them, the workers dropped off the replacement windows so I could stain them ahead of installation. We were not expecting them to work on a Saturday, but they called and asked if they could some. About noon, 6 workers came, including one of the company owners, and got right to work, removing the old windows and the rotting wood around them. By 5:30 they were done, and had helped replace the furniture that had had to be moved to accommodate their work, and doing a clean-up that was probably better than I could have done. This team moved like a well choreographed ballet, were extremely pleasant and courteous, and seemed to enjoy working together. In chatting with the owner during his time here, he mentioned that they try very hard "to do what is right for the customer." We chose Window Makeover after reading about them on Angie's List; they had first been recommended by Bone Dry Roofing, with whom we have worked for years. After totally replacing these same windows twice in 28 years due to rotting wood frames, they offered a more economical and permanent way to solve the problem: by removing only what needed to be removed, and replacing those parts with synthetic materials. The hardware was removed from the old windows and put on the new windows, saving money, and since the old screens fit, they also did not need to be replaced. No interior work needed to be done, again saving us money. We could not at this point, afford the total package of what needed to be done, and chose to do the most critical first. I will look forward to working with them again next year when we have the rest of the windows that need repair taken care of.

Brett took a thorough look at the windows, but couldn't fix them. It turns out the window frames had warped, which he showed me and explained what was happening. I expected to at least pay for a house call, but Brett told me no charge.

They had the best price on a bid basis and their service was top notch. The appointment was for 2:30 and Kevin arrived at that time to install the new glass. I would definitely use them again for future window repairs.

Professional, did the work exactly as described. Actually, it looks better than I imagined.

I called Brett directly and left a message sometime before July 4 to arrange an appointment. Brett responded promptly, and told me that he was tied up until July 14, would I like a coworker to call me. I said yes, and no one called. I was gone most of the week of 7/14. I believe July 14 I called the main office and a lady made arrangements for Brett to see our window on July 22 at 9AM. He called at 8:30 AM and left a message saying he was unable to make it at Noon as was scheduled, but could we arrange another time.Instead of returning his call I called the office to see if I was mistaken regarding the time. The lady referred me to Dave, the scheduler. I called him and left a message. Soon after I left the message Brett called and apologized, and wanted to reschedule. By this time, I was tired of trying to meet with them, and informed him I wasnt interested in making an appointment. Dave called later in the day to see why I chose not to make an appointment.
