Window Makeover - Indianapolis

Everything went like clockwork. They showed up on the scheduled date with the windows and a fair sized group of workers, and repaired all of the windows in a single day. They were well organized and very friendly. They fixed the opening mechanism on one window for free, even though one of the workers had to come back the next day to complete that job. They called back a few days later to see if I was happy with the repairs and give me information I had requested on the warranty for the new windows. I was very pleased with their professionalism and the final results.

The work was done very well in general. There was an issue with one window that wasn't looked into quite as in-depth as needed last year, but it was managed this year with a different strategy and more effort.

This company is fantastic to deal with. We contacted them via the request for service form on their website. They contacted us very quickly and arranged to come give us an estimate. All prices and terms are right on the website, so we already had an idea of the cost. Ryan was right on time and gave us the estimate. We were contacted as soon as the company received our signed agreement for scheduling. The work was scheduled for about 10 days out. The work crew came right on time and did a fabulous job in one day. They left the lawn, driveway and street area in front of our house as clean as they found it. A couple of days after the work was completed, we received a thank you note in the mail, for doing business with Window Alternatives.

Returned my initial phone call promptly, gave an estimate the next day, and then coordinated timing of work with window glass replacement company. Arrived on time, completed work professionally, worked with and around the glass replacement workers, cleaned up work area AND then sent me a handwritten thank you note a week or so later thanking me for my business. Top notch.

It is an older house and I didn't want to replace the windows but rather restore them. They did a good job with that and they were also very timely. I would recommend them to others.

They were conscientious. They did a good job. I had one problem so I called them. They came out and fixed it right away. They were friendly and professional. They cleaned up after themselves.

They were very respectful about being in our home. They were on time and they had the job done in about three hours. They came when it was raining and we had to reschedule. But I would recommend them and use them again in the future.

I'm extremely pleased with the work. They came out and inspected all of my windows and recommended which windows needed to be reworked. They don't do window sashes as apart of their set price, but will if they are too bad, but that requires special milling. They came out on two separate occasions and repair a total of 10 window sills and sashes. They were there both times when they said they would be and completed the work with me being there. Both times I've been more than pleased with their work and clean up. I would definitely hire them again.

I obtained an estimate from their website and then received a firm quote after a confirming visit from the company's owner. Work was scheduled about 2 weeks after the inspection. The Window Alternative associate showed up on time and began the process of removing the old rotted wood and the fabrication of the replacement trim to be reinstalled around the window. Associate was pleasant and carried on a varied conversation during his time on site. When he was "in" the house (to remove the window glass) he was very careful with our personal property. I could not be more pleased. The work was completed on-time and in a very professional manner. The quality is excellent and, as soon as I get the new trim painted, the 19 year old windows will be back to almost new. After watching the repair and seeing the end result - I can honestly say that our $1500 investment was a very good value (my definition of value is price, quality of the service, and the delivery of the service). The quote I received to replace the same four window would have been over $5000. Excellent company that is very easy to do business with and genuinely cares about their customers and the quality of their product. A+

It went very well. They completed the work on time, even through some difficult weather. The team showed up when they said and worked all day to complete rebuilding the sills to perfection. I was out of town but there certainly was no need for watching their progress. They were very diligent in getting the job done on time and on budget. This included rebuilding 6 casement windows, including singles, doubles and triple window sizes.

The work was done very well by a courteous, professional carpenter.

The Schwartz were wonderful people to work with. They understood and sympathized with my problem and squeezed me into their schedule due to impending storms. With the appx 1 inch gaps left in two windows by the other company, insects were coming in and my air conditioning was going out. I told them I would repair the worst 3 windows immediately due to security concerns and have them redo the others later. Ryan even checked my screens to see if they would fit and put them in the window frames. The other company did not even think of screens even tho my existing frames were clearly fitted for screens. Even my exterior painters commented to me about the difference in workmanship in the windows. Ryan's work is extremely neat and nothing short of perfection. I highly recommend Window Alternatives and definitely will have Ryan back to redo the other damaged windows. Unfortunately I was concerned about getting painting completed and did not think to take pictures. The work was seamless.

I called the company to schedule an inspection and they stated they are booked up until March of 2007. They referred me to their website for pricing, its easy to use and you can figure out the cost from here. I am sure they are good, but I found a contractor that was able to do the job in about 2 weeks.

Nice job as far as I can tell, no interior mess or interior painting. All work was done on schedule.

They did an excellent job. Considering the amount they saved me not having to get new windows, they were reasonable in price.

Ryan was very professional and courteous. Window Alternatives was able to schedule an appointment quickly. Ryan was right on time, worked hard the entire time he was here, and cleaned everything before he left. He even vacuumed the carpet inside! We thought the wood damage was bad enough that we would have to replace all six windows. Ryan was confident the rotted wood could be replaced. We knew we could save a lot of money if we only replaced what was actually damaged - the exterior wood. Ryan did a great job and we are extremely happy with the work.

I thought I was going to get a completely rebuilt window, ready to paint, that would look virtually indistinguishable from a new window. Instead I got a functionally repaired window that still had cosmetic issues (warped glass stop). I will have to pay someone else to replace this part before the window looks fixed. I believe I would have been better off simply replacing the entire window. To be fair, after reviewing the information on the web site, the company delivered all that it promised.

I scheduled the work with Jennifer who was very polite, professional, considerate and kept me very informed as to the dates the work would be scheduled. Ryan, who performed the work was also very professional and cleaned up the work site. We feel very comfortable with the work that was done and he answered our questions regarding how to prevent/delay the need for more repairs.

DID A GOOD JOB MATCHING THE OTHER WINDOWS THAT WERE NOT REPAIRED. ON TIME, GOOD SERVICE, BUT YOU DID HAVE TO WAIT A MONTH OR SO TO GET SCHEDULED. BETTER THAN REPLACING WINDOWS.

HE IS A REALLY NICE YOUNG FELLOW. I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYBODY.

I WAS TOLD BY NUMEROUS PEOPLE THAT MY WOOD WINDOWS WERE BEYOND REPAIR. RYAN CAME OUT, LOOKED AT THEM AND SAID ''NO PROBLEM!'' HE COMPLETED THE WORK IN 1/2 DAY, FOR A FRACTION OF THE COST OF REPLACING THE WOOD WINDOWS. ADDITIONALLY, HIS WIFE, WHO SCHEDULED US, WAS EXTREMELY ACCOMMODATING. WE WERE GETTING OUR HOUSE READY TO PUT ON THE MARKET, AND SHE SQUEEZED US INTO THE SCHEDULE SO THAT THE WORK COULD BE COMPLETED BEFORE THAT DATE. WINDOWS NOW LOOK GREAT!
