At 4 PM one afternoon our water alarm sounded and I realized that our sumps were not working (both the main sump and the back-up). I called the plumber that we have been using for 12 years and was informed that so late in the afternoon I would have to pay overtime charges. I went to Angie's List to look for another plumber. I ended up calling 4 plumbers to get estimates. The estimates were from $700. to around $450-500. Schuler's was the most reasonable and they had a good report with Angie's List. They would have come out after 5 PM for the quoted charge of $275 but I did get the backup sump working and they came out 2 days later as my schedule allowed. The next time I need a plumber, I will call them.

They went out of their way because they had to come back twice to make sure it was fixed correctly and didn't charge me for the additional visits. I'd use them again and recommend them to others!

Water trickle discovered on utility room floor. Prompt reply to phone call. Had me try a few things to make sure it was the water heater and not the air conditioner. On time to appointment; had to leave to retrieve new water heater. Associate was clean, friendly, and professional. My only issue is the insulation wrap wasn't put back on in the most desirable fashion, but could be due to different dimension of the new heater (used existing, not new insulation).

Called the company, explained my problem and the person that answered the telephone said that they were going to get back to me to schedule an appointment and no one ever called back. I proceeded to call another company that immediately came and solve the problem.

I had used him in the past and he is prompt and professional. We were in a emergency situation and very thankful.

Very good; would not hesitate to recommend. The owner, Eugene, came to our house to do initial walk through, provided estimates and lots of requested info on tankless water heaters, showed us how to use our water softener, identified things requiring repairs and eliminated a couple we thought were issues but were not. Once we gave him the go, he sent very qualified people to come do the work. They were punctual, courteous, and the work was great. We will be using them again to install a tankless water heater and also for bathroom upgrades. Eugene believes in technology and continuous education, is well informed about communities and market conditions and provides good feedback on what is good value, etc.

He found that the electricity had somehow been interrupted to the unit and the water softener had also been shut off inadvertently. He checked the water heater unit over and recalibrated the softener. In doing so, he discovered a short in the water heater thermostat and said the part would be replaced under warranty. I loved that. He also advised me on the workings of our toilets and their tendency to clog.

Carl at Schuler is always great. Schuler is a great company to work with. I had gotten a quote from another company for the same work and it was twice as much.

Serviceman was 15 minutes earlier than expected and completed the work in less than 1/2 hour. He was very knowledgeable, courteous and neat. We have used Schuler in the past and will definitely use them in the future.

Plumber did not arrive the day/time the work was originally scheduled to take place so work was rescheduled for the following day. He was on time that day and was courteous. However, he arrived with the wrong type of water heater and had to make a trip out to obtain the correct type, delaying the repair process. We question whether the company should have ascertained the type of equipment needed before making the trip out. Work was performed professionally. We were surprised, however, to receive a bill exceeding the quote we were given by approximately $250.00. Through additional discussion, the company explained that the type of water heater installed is more expensive that what they quoted. This was never explained to us before we received the bill. Ultimately, the company did agree to reduce the bill to the amount that was originally quoted. We had a good repair experience with this company last year so were surprised by this experience.

I have used this company several times over the last 4 months. I moved into an old house which has needed a lot of work. All of the employees from this company are very polite and clean up after themselves. When I discovered a leak, they came out quickly and repaired to problem.

We asked for recommendations on what toilets to buy to correct the problem we were having with our existing ones. The process of equipping us to make a decision was excellent. We were given several recommendations and there was no attempt to influence our decision. The same is true in their suggesting what could be done to eliminate the noise caused by the sump pump in the crawl space.

They were extremely punctual, were there within a half day of my call, they came out 3 times, price was more than fair. Missed one leak, came back and remedied the problem and reduced the bill by $100, partially due to the missed leak and part due to accidentally breaking a small cabinet. I am extremely happy with how they handled every part of the issues.

Positive. Vendor was timely, professional and proficient. Willing to work with us and around other vendors.

OUR HOUSE IS 100 YEARS OLD, WITH NUMEROUS DIFFICULTIES TO WORK AROUND. THE GUYS AT SCHULER WERE ABLE TO WORK WITH US IN RESOLVING ALL THE DIFFICULTIES, INCLUDING HAVING TO CUT THROUGH CONCRETE FOR THE NEW SHOWER DRAIN. THEY WERE ON TIME AND STAYED WITHIN THEIR ESTIMATE AND WORKED AROUND OTHER CONTRACTORS' SCHEDULES. I RECOMMEND CONTACTING THEM BETWEEN 7:30 AND 8:00 IN THE MORNING FOR SCHEDULING.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT/SERVICE. TIMELY. NOT CHEAP BUT WORTH IT.

ORIGINALLY I HAD CALLED TO REPLACE A TOILET IN A NEWLY PURCHASED HOME. THE SERVICE MAN BROUGHT A NEW TOILET, BUT TOLD ME HE THOUGHT HE COULD FIX THE TOILET AND REMOVE THE BLACK DEPOSITS. HE SUGGESTED I KEEP THE TOILET I HAVE BECAUSE IT WAS AN OLDER 3 GALLON FLUSH AND THE NEWER FEDERALLY MANDATED 1.7 GALLON WERE NOT AS EFFICIENT. HE FIXED AND CLEANED BOTH TOILETS AND SAVED ME THE ADDITIONAL COST OF A NEW TOILET. I HAD WANTED TO REPLACE THE BATH FAUCET BUT THE FIXTURE WAS INCOMPATIBLE WITH THE OLDER PLUMBING. HE EXPLAINED THE TILE WOULD HAVE TO BE REMOVED AND NEW PIPING INSTALLED TO BE COMPATIBLE WITH NEWER FIXTURES. I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE WORK AND THEIR PRICING IS REASONABLE. I HAD NO TROUBLE SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT AND BELIEVE THE COMPANY IS FAIR AND HONEST. DEFINITELY WILL CONTINUE TO USE THEM.

OVERALL THE WORK AND PLUMBER WERE VERY GOOD. THE PLUMBER WAS LATE DUE TO THE OTHER PLUMBER WAS SICK AND HIS FIRST JOB WAS RUNNING LATE. NEVER RECEIVED A CALL ABOUT BEING LATE.

VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE AND THE QUALITY OF WORK. THE REPRESENTATIVE THAT CAME OUT SHOWED UP ON TIME AND WAS VERY COURTEOUS. THE WORK WAS FINISHED QUICKLY AND OUR BILL WAS LESS THAN THE INITIAL ESTIMATE. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH THE SERVICE.

THEIR TECHNICIAN WAS EARLY--BUT NOT TOO MUCH--THEY CALLED FIRST. WORK WAS DONE PROFESSIONALLY. WE WERE VERY SATISFIED--WILL USE THEM AGAIN.

CARL DID A QUALITY JOB AND EXPLAINED TO ME WHAT THE PROBLEMS WERE AND HOW HE FIXED THEM. CARL HAS FIXED OTHER PROBLEMS FOR US IN THE PAST AND ALWAYS DOES A GOOD JOB. THIS IS A LOCAL FAMILY BUSINESS THAT WE TRUST AND WILL CONTINUE TO USE.

QUICK SERVICE. ALSO REPLACED SCREWS ON KITCHEN DISPOSAL, 2 FELL OUT.

THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY, AND I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

THEY DON'T CHARGE A TRIP CHARGE, THEY ONLY CHARGE FOR THE WORK THAT THEY DO.
