John Mitchell Moving/Two Guys & A Truck

We spent weeks moving before our move date - trying to move boxes of what we could move so we only paid for furniture. The day of the move - the guys showed up on time and got started right away but they left a lot of stuff behind at our home inluding a series of free weights that were my husbands and it took us and extra hour to move those from our old house to our new house. When we asked them about this - the main guy just apologized. So check the house before they leave and make sure they got it all! Overall tho we were pleased.

Bill and Phil were professional, hard working and easy to work with. All of our furnishings arrived unharmed and were set up in record time.

I had a great experience with Two Guys and a Truck. I had used them in the past, and knew they were a good company. If I had one complaint, it would be that I was given the option to be called while they were on their way and they never called. It was on the work order that I signed, as well. Once they arrived, they were polite and worked very efficiently. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

I was so pleased with my entire experience here, from the in-home estimate to the end of the move. Anne, the office manager, was a delight to work with, so friendly and flexible. Even when I had to change my move date only three days ahead of time because I had not reserved the elevator in my apartment building, Anne got the change made for no extra charge and made it seem like it was no problem at all to change the whole company's schedule on a dime. The move was billed to my company with no problem at all, an extremely reasonable rate that was right on target with the estimate. The movers packed all my things very quickly and very carefully. They were not even going to stop for a lunch break on the way down to Brown County until I urged them to! They asked where I wanted every single piece of furniture and box placed. When they made one small mistake of packing and moving a microwave that belonged to the apartment building, they immediately apologized and offered to take it back up to the city. I told them I had to go back anyway because I had to finish cleaning and turn in my keys, so they found the microwave among the boxes and offered to put it in my car for me! They arrived at my apartment at 9:30 a.m. and I was moved into my house by 2 p.m.--that includes packing everything and the hour and fifteen minute drive from Indianapolis to Brown County. My last move was a complete disaster and I'm so grateful to both Two Guys and Angie's List for helping me find them--this time was a dream.

These guys were great and we'd use them again! We'd recommend them to anyone.

It was a complicated job as we were moving from two houses. One house was in the city and it was a small house. The other house was a country house near Lebanon and that was our main home and so it was larger. We paid $ 800 for the small house and $ 1600 for the larger one. When the move was made the guy charged us $2400 in spite of the fact that we had a $1600 estimate. I paid $2400 because I believed in paying my bills and I was going to settle the difference with the owner of the company later. That didn't come about. He didn't call me back or talk to me. He just went ahead and cashed the $2400 check irrespective of the fact that I had an estimate of $1600. My wife signed a $2400 check and her signature was justifying. They justification was that they had to make an extra trip to the country. The reason they made the extra trip was because they locked the keys in one the trucks and they couldn't bring one out and it disrupted their order of packing. That's why they had to make the trip and they charged me for it. I felt I was completely ripped off by them and I would never use them again. They were not responsive and professional in their approach. They didn't act like professional people. They did not take apart a very large dining table that I had and they broke it. They trucking company has insurance, it's a minimal amount, but they didn't offer and unwilling to say that they would pay as much their insurance was allowed to pay. It was entirely unprofessional and unresponsive in that sense. While moving the second house they had an attitude.

I cannot comment here because we did not actually utilize this moving service.

Roger and Bill helped me move from a 1 bedroom apt into a 3 bedroom house. I called to set up an apt and they were able to get me in within a weeks time, it was a small move and said that it could be done in a 2 hour time limit over the phone- also noted that they didn't mind that it was going to be a small move. I received a call to verify the appointment the day before and noted they would be at my apartment at 11A. They arrived at 10:54 and moved all of my belongings, they maneuvered around tight door frames and down stairs with some very heavy furniture and a leather sectional. They were extremely considerate when dealing with my furniture and the properties I was moving out of/into - took extra care to not cause any damage. I was impressed with their work ethic, and commitment to time scheduled. They were completely finished moving and setting up my furniture/ belongings by 12:40. I would definitely hire these guys again and of course highly recommend them to others needing a professional dependable company of movers.

From the start, talking to John on the phone to the end, everything was great. Friendly, professional, hardworking, AND they send thank-you note!. I highy reccomend this business. I do not have one negative to say about them.

We had previous friends utilize Two Guy and a Truck in moves with nothing but great things to say. We were boxing up all the lighter easier things and renting a U Haul to move them ourself and were looking to Two Guys and A Truck to do all the heavy lifting which included, 3 beds, futon, crib, 2 entertainment centers, multiple pieces of office furniture, entire dining room set, theater seating, various tables and nightstands, a sofa, and various other chairs, fridge, washer and dryer, among other items I am likely forgetting. They came to the house to provide us an estimate and a couple of options to choose from which was nice, 1 truck vs 2 trucks etc, but were never pushy to either option. Moving day came and they had all our stuff neatly and safely moved into their truck in 2 1/2 hours! The unloaded the truck, placed everything where we wanted it, and assembled everything within 3 1/2 hours, leaving us 2 hours of our 8 hour quote. They then assisted us in unloading the entire 24 foot U Haul packed with boxes, placing them where we wanted, in 1 hour! Not only did they go above and beyond, but because we only used 7 of 8 hours our final cost was slightly less than what was originally quoted for 8 hours. I can't begin to explain how great the guys were to interact with and how they made our moving day go smoother than we could have ever imagined! Definitely recommended and would use again!

They were fabulous and amazing. It was perfect and we will definitely use them again. They were so good, clean and prompt. They did a great job. They were kind and it was perfect.

In spite of a slow start (the movers were about 20 minutes late on moving day with no phone call), the move went very well. The move was from a 3-story townhome to the 4th floor of a mid-rise condo in downtown Indy. The 3 men tackled the stairs, an extremely slow elevator, and other obstacles (weather) with great attitudes. They were friendly but professional, they worked hard, were careful with my stuff, and finished in a little over half the time estimated. Nice job! When scheduling the move, my phone call was returned promptly and I was able to schedule with short notice. I think it is really helpful that Two Guys comes to your home to give you a "not-to-exceed" estimate, and they even gave me some tips for packing and moving day. My only advice to others would be: Don't move in January!

They were great! Company called day before to confirm appt. Guys showed up on time and did great. They were careful and used pads for stair railings and ask if I was happy before leaving. Would definitely use them again.

We've never used a professional mover before, so were not sure what to expect. A representative arrived a few weeks before the move to give us an estimate. She not only gave one estimate, she gave estimates that ranged from packing us up and moving all items to moving only the furniture. This gave us much more flexibility in our decision-making. We opted to only have them move our furniture. During the packing, we ran short of boxes, so we took advantage of box delivery (free delivery when $50 or more of boxes are used). We had them deliver about twice as many as we thought we'd need, but were only charged for the boxes used. This was very helpful at such a stressful time. We also turned out to use almost all the boxes delivered - more than we thought we would use. The prices on the boxes are a bit high, but considering the stress it removed, well worth the cost. The movers arrived exactly when we were told to expect them. They were very professional, courteous and efficient. The only incidents during the move were a few marks on the walls (no damage and very easy to wipe away) and a broken glass desk top (which may have been damaged before they arrived). Considering the amount of work done, the size and weight of the items moved, this was impressive. One item had been assembled in the room where it was located. When it came time to move it, it turned out too big to remove from the room. The movers asked us what we wanted done, disassembled the item and then offered to reassemble it at the new location (we preferred to reassemble it ourselves. so we declined). Work was completed in about the time estimated and within $50 of the original estimate (which didn't include the boxes we purchased). As unpleasant as moving can be, they made it much more tolerable. They will be in our plans if we ever move again.

Called for an estimate and they gave me a general idea of price and then sent someone over to go through the house and get an idea of what we needed moved. Bob was very professional and thorough in asking questions about what we needed and gave me an estimate that was very specific as to price per hour plus truck fee, etc. They called the day before to confirm move and ask if we had any questions. The movers arrived on time Saturday morning and worked very hard all day loading and unloading the truck. They were careful to not damage anything and were happy to help with moving any furniture to our liking in each room once in the new house. They also helped hook up our washer/dryer. Start to finish, a fantastic experience that made moving day so much less stressful than expected. Awesome!

We moved from one house to another. We packed everything ourselves and they just actually did the process of move. They supplied the packing boxes. They were phenomenal really. Our agent was Diane and she came out and asked if she could use the computer and she was very very professional. They were very professional people compared to so many other people who we had talked to and wanted us to supply lunch for the guys. They showed up on time. We have absolutely no complaints other than just praises for the Two Guys and A truck. They were extremely cautious. They wrapped everything and all the articles were safe. Their service is very good. We would call them in the future if we need movers.

Movers arrived on timne, effeciently loaded her boxes and furniture, and delivered them to her apratment on the opposite side of town. They were very professional in their work, but their cart left marks on our carpet and they were not as careful moving one chair from a basement room and marked up the door. I had told them that the chair would only fit one way through the door, but they must have tried to force it and scraped the door. They then had to turn the chair the proper way and it fit through without a scratch. Too bad they did not listen to my warning and make sure it fit before they scratched the door.

I had set a move date for a week before the actual day I was able to move due to problems with closing on my new home. Two Guys and a Truck were able to schedule me for the 28th when I was urgently making calls to any company on Angie's List. They were the only ones able to work with my urgent schedule. It turned out to be one of the hottest days this summer and the movers were working in 93 degree heat, which meant the heat index was miserably hot. The temperature in the truck had to be even worse. They were hard working, careful with my belongings and very personable. They only damaged one item and the damage was minor. They worked so hard that I had to remind them to take breaks in order to cool off.

Overall, we thought that they did an excellent job. I did give a B on Punctuality because they were scheduled to be at our place by 8:45am and they did arrive until about 11. However, we were made aware that they were running behind because of another move that took longer than expected. The job took about 2 hours to get our boxes and furniture moved out of our old place and unloaded into our new place. The price was a little higher but evened out with the shorter time because there were 3 movers along.

It went very smoothly. One man came out to give an estimate and quoted $1910 for nine hours of work. The morning we were scheduled to move, a crew of five men showed up with two trucks. They began working right away and were very organized and clean. They were careful with everything they moved and had the floors covered to prevent damaged. Later in the day, a six person and third truck arrived. It took two trips (six truck loads) to get everything moved. They also empied the attic and cleared out the mini-barn. It ended up taking almost twelve hours for the entire job, but we were only charged the quoted amount. They were very personable and friendly during the entire job. They worked extremely hard. I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

They definitely don't deserve their positive rating. Showed up over 3 hours late with no advance notice. It was hard to get through to someone to find out what was going on. They clearly overbooked themselves. The workers were fine and courteous, but company lacked professionalism.

Excellent experience. They arrived on time and were extremely careful, courteous, and friendly. Finished quicker than estimated so cost was lower.

They did a great job and were willing to do whatever I asked of them. They put things exactly where I asked them to and offered to move anything around if I wanted to see it another way.They arrived on time and did a fast job to keep my costs down. I have moved several times and these guys were the best. Far and above any other I have used.

They were on-time, fast, professional, and came in under their quote. I am very pleased with their service and I would definitely recommend them to anyone!!!

Great! They were very honest with some of my unstable items might not hold up. Although they did hold up, I appreciate the expertise. They moved my piano, and I had to ask them to pick up items from two different locations, they were very good and listening what 'went' and what 'stayed'.
