John Mitchell Moving/Two Guys & A Truck

The movers I got through John Mitchell Moving were fantastic. They kept me updated throughout the process and made sure to ask questions throughout. The appointment I made was effortless and the office staff was easy to talk to. I’m going to look to call them the next time I move.

The loading went extremely well. They said it would be a tight fit into a 26-foot truck. We had Todd/Phil/Marc loading, and they packed the truck incredibly well. When we had a company unpack at our destination, they couldn't believe how well the truck was packed, and said there were techniques they haven't seen in 15 years! They asked what didn't fit in the truck to try and see if there's anyway it would have fit (hose reel, box, and card table), and they said not 1 single extra thing could have made it. A fantastic job by these guys!

Fantastic! From the moment Marci and Ann conducted the telephone interview, to the day of the move, everything was perfect. Bill and Phil worked extremely hard moving all of the heavy furniture, including a sofa bed, down two flights of stairs without complaint. They even assembled one dining room hutch. The move was completed in three hours. Bill and Phil have been with the company 17 years! The price was VERY reasonable. I would highly recommend John Mitchell Moving to anyone moving in the Indianapolis area.

I have moved several times and I would never use any other company! I have Chris and Phil move us and they are VERY efficient nothing gets broken and I have to say they are quick! I also love dealing with Kay in the office always very pleasant. I’m probably buying a house next year and like I said I will only use this company and my two guys 😉

Tristan and Chris are a great team and work their tails off. I've used them for two, two day moves now. Both times nothing broken and everything was done on budget.

Everything went great! From the initial call everyone was very friendly. I had to make several calls between my initial estimate and moving day and everyone I spoke with was just as friendly. They arrived exactly on time and were able to park their large truck in such a way that didn't inconvenience my neighbors, which I was grateful for. They made sure not to scratch any of my items and any of the walls and had the items loaded well in less than an hour. When they arrived at my house they did a fabulous job and were very nice and professional. They even navigated a road closure and got to my home slightly before me. I would definitely hire them again!

Review on two guys and a truck. Tristan, Thomas, and Chris showed up on time and ready to go. We showed them the furniture in the apartment to be moved from and the empty apartment we were moving into. After a short explanation of where we wanted things, that was about it. They took care of the job in the time that had been included in the estimate and were extremely professional, meticulous, and personable. I would not hesitate to use these "guys" again. Also, Ann was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful during the initial phone call to get things set up.

The team was very professional and polite! All the items arrived and were in great shape. These guys did a great job and moved us quickly 2 days before Christmas.

The team that was assigned to our move was professional, friendly, and very efficient in completing the job. They clearly enjoyed each other’s company and worked well together as a team.

The move did not go as promised. They were supposed to send 2 trucks and 5 men. On moving day they sent 1 truck and 3 men. They had to make 2 trips. The move took 10 hours. An accident occurred when they dropped our refrigerator off the ramp of the truck on to the driveway and put a large dent in the side. We have made at least 7 calls over a two month time period. The majority of our calls were not answered. They finally returned a call and said they would send a technician to our house to repair the dent. When the gentleman called he said their company does not repair dents and he never showed for the appointment. Overall the company had a very poor response to our concerns and we would not recommend them as movers.

John Mitchell Moving was excellent! I have quite a few antiques that need some extra care. They took the time to understand what was needed and then performed above expectations. I have done both long distance and local moves. This was by far the best experience! Highly recommend this company and would definitely use again.

I first contacted the office and spoke with a very pleasant Ann to see if they had openings on the days I had in mind. They did. I then made an appointment to meet with Sean for a proposal. Sean arrived at the arranged time, and the meeting was very informative and subsequently I hired them for my move. They were a little more expensive initially than another moving company I had contacted, but I didn't feel I would be nickel and dimed for every little thing. Sean had submitted a low to high proposal, so I basically knew I wouldn't be paying any more than the higher amount (or so I thought). Ann called me the day before the move to confirm everything was still a go. Moving day was scheduled on a Thursday at 9:00 a.m. Moving day arrived and at 9:10, no movers had showed up.... not a huge deal, but I was holding parking spaces to make sure they had room. I called the office and was happy when I saw the trucks pull up while I was on the phone wondering where they were. : ) Then.... a few issues were discovered. My proposal from Sean indicated four guys and two trucks. Three guys and two trucks showed up. PLUS, I had specifically asked Sean about shrink wrapping some of my items due to them being placed in storage. He had indicated that would be no problem, they do it all the time. Not exactly..... I want to state this foremost....the guys that showed up were AWESOME and basically saved Sean's butt. Sean had indicated that they would probably be finished within six hours...now if they would have sent the fourth guy, that may have been the case, but it was a ten hour day! If it hadn't have been for Jordan, Brad and Paul, I would not be writing this positive review. These guys were amazing! They were friendly, kept a positive attitude THE WHOLE DAY, with absolutely no bickering. They worked well together and handled my VERY heavy furniture with the necessary care. OH! did I mention they had to content with a long flight of stairs also!?! I am "a collector of things" so they were up and down the stairway MANY times. The move included over an hour long drive to the storage facility...after seven hours previously working their butts off... we arrived at the storage facility (at this point I think a lamp base is my only casualty) and they proceeded to off load all my items. THEY WERE TIRED but kept at it, they were folding their packing blankets and replacing them with mine for storage, helping shrink wrap some of my items, and packing the two units as well as they could to help save me space. (I was fearful at first thinking I was going to have to rent another unit!) When they were finished, I was presented with my final invoice which was approximately $300+ over the higher figure given to me on my proposal. They tried to call the office, but of course every one was gone by then. I decided to pay the higher proposal amount and not the final invoice amount due to the fact that was one of the reasons I hired them in the first place. I wasn't going to place Jordan, Brad or Paul in a position that wasn't their job. I'll take it up with Sean if necessary. I tipped all three for their time and effort. They certainly earned it. They were extremely gracious and appreciative. All in all.... the team of Jordan, Brad and Paul made my move "almost" enjoyable. Moving is NEVER enjoyable. LOL! I would recommend Jordan, Brad and Paul to anyone needing movers without hesitation.... Sean on the other hand needs to get some on the job training to help him become a better estimator. I'm not bashing Sean, please do not take it that way, in my opinion, he just needs to be more educated with what the "labor intensive" guys go through.

I was so impressed and am so glad I went with my gut and hired them! From the estimate through move-day, every staff member I came into contact with was professional, knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, respectful, helpful, and kind. I’d highly recommend them and would absolutely use them again!

Tristan, Tray, and John arrived a few minutes ahead of schedule. They were very polite and professional. After a brief walk-through of the house, they got straight to work. They were quick, yet very careful with all my items. I was impressed with them enough that should I need to move in the future, I would request they be the team. Great job guys

It was the best moving crew I have ever worked with. They were on time, and they were very nice guys. They were upbeat and very polite. They worked hard all day and did a fantastic job. Some pieces of furniture were huge and heavy. They didn't damage anything. I was quite impressed. I have them lined up to do a second trip with the furniture left behind in the house while it is on the market. I would recommend them to anyone!

This company was extremely professional and worked with us to stay within and actually under budget. We wanted all large furniture pieces moved, they showed up on time and had everything moved in less than 3 hrs.

They did an excellent job! They got the job done in 1 hour, which saved me a lot of money! I was so grateful! There were 3 guys that day because they were training someone new. They were all friendly and courteous. This was the second time we have used them, so they gave us a repeat customer discount of $50! We have been very happy with their service and would recommend them to anyone!

Great - the guys showed up on time, it was a super work crew and we were done by 2.30 PM. No breakages or damage, I would definutely use them again.

We had a crew of 6 guys. All were good guys, and they obviously enjoyed working with each other. Truly, after my experience with our last move 25 years ago, I wasn’t expecting much. But we enjoyed working with the guys. They were very careful, and had to move some really large pieces (some that resulted in damage to our walls when they were delivered years ago) without a problem. Also, the price seemed very reasonable. I would definitely use them again.

It was a very organized and smooth move. The movers were all wonderful, careful, respectful and fun also. Overall wonderful experience!

By far, the best moving experience I have ever been through. The 3 guys that moved us were professional, courteous and went above and beyond to make this experience go as smoothly as possible. We have a power adjustable bed that would not fit around the 90 degree bend going up our stairway. They were determined to get it up to the second floor so the apparatus for the power bed was disassembled from the frame so it would eventually fit around the stairway. While me and one other mover performed taking apart the bed, the other 2 movers continued moving what they could. This act of kindness prevented us from having to spend $1000 or more on a new mattress and box springs. There are no words to express how appreciative we are for the extra effort that was put forth. We would highly recommend this company to anyone considering a move. They were no nonsense, professionals that got the job done in a caring, timely manner.
