John Mitchell Moving/Two Guys & A Truck

The crew was set to arrive at the apartment at 9 a.m. to load the apartment and then drive the the storage unit and load everything else them taking all of it to our new home to unload. My husband and I both took off of work for the entire day, had the entire apartment prepped and ready to move the night before and made arrangements so our young children would not be home and in the way during the process. The crew did not show up. We waited until 10 a.m. and called the moving company office. They explained that our crew did not show up for work -- none of them and they did not have any other people available, but that they were working on a plan. We did not hear back from the office. We then had to call again and left messages as no one answered the office phone. We did not hear back from the office until we again had to call for a status update. At this time, it was afternoon and we were extremely stressed. We finally heard back from the office saying they were going to send out three crews as soon as they finished their current jobs. Those crews started arriving at 3:30 p.m. By this time, our kids were home, we had no furniture in our new house and we were stressed beyond belief. The first truck arrived and had all of our apartment furniture. I was home with the kids directing placement while my husband was at the storage unit with the other trucks. The first truck was almost completely unloaded when the other two arrived. We had 8 men bringing things in rapidly and it was too much. It was getting dark outside, the men were in and out so quickly I didn't have any time to direct were things went so many boxes ended up in the wrong place, dirty shoes stained my brand new white carpets and my brand new wood floors had two new scratches. I spent the first night in our new house cleaning stains out of my carpets and days after shifting boxes that ended up in the wrong place. No discount was given and although the men who arrived were respectful and accommodating, they were tired. They all had two jobs before ours and were very ready to unload and leave, something I completely understood. I can't fault the entire organization for a few guys not showing up to work, but they needed to better communicate with us and it seemed obvious to me they owed us a discount. My husband and I both lost an entire vacation day at work waiting for movers that didn't show up.

On Friday, Dec, 20th, 2013 they sent an email confirming that they scheduled my move and the email also stated that they would call while in route to the address. They put tentatively between and 2-3pm on Monday, Dec, 23rd. They left a message today (12/23/13) at 7:30am telling me to call and confirm the time or else I would be removed from the schedule, which I did not get the message until 12:30pm this afternoon. So when I called to see where they were I was told that they would not be coming today because I didn't respond to the voice mail they had left. I explained the email that I had received stating that I would get a call while in route and didn’t know I would need to re-confirmed since I had already confirmed on Friday by email. When I told them how badly I needed them to come today, I was told that I would have to wait until Thursday. The office manager was very rude and didn't want to hear what I had to say, I told her I wanted a refund, she said she'll put it in the mail and she hung up on me.

The move went very quickly and professionally. I only requested 2 movers but had 3 come, but was glad to pay for the extra person. The move was completed in under 4 hours and no items were damaged. Minor scuff marks on the walls and nicks were encountered in the move.

They arrived promptly and called us about an hour before they arrived to let us know they were on the way. Three men came to move us and they worked very hard. They were very efficient and took more care with our hardwood floors and doorways than we have ever experienced before. They finished in much less time than the office had estimated and charged us mush less than we had expected to pay. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The move went well. They moved my large furniture such as bed, sofa, dressers, etc. that I could not fit in my car. They took apart my bed frame & then put it back together at my new place.

The people that I spoke with were very professional. The estimator quoted a fair price. We did not end up using a moving company because we decided to move everything ourselves.

They did a fine job packing and getting done in good time. They got the packing done a lot sooner than they thought they would and reduced the price accordingly. We had several boxes of our own that they used for packing which reduced the price further. I thought their pricing was very fair. When they moved everything in to the new house they didn't put down any cover over the light carpeting and unfortunately they left some tracks. I called and offered the opportunity to clean the carpet and they did not. I understand why they said they would not but wish they tried harder to prevent making the carpet dirty in the first place.

They showed up early and overall did a great job with the move. They were quick and didn't take breaks and it would have been an excellent move had it not been for the damaged carpet in one of the offices. We've contacted them several times to file an insurance claim for the damaged carpet, but they are very non-responsive. I spoke with John Mitchell twice before he finally came out. He came out, took a look and said he'd be back in touch with us and that he needed to get someone else to look at it. That was four weeks ago and we're still waiting. So, over two months after our move and after I first contacted them to file a claim on our damaged carpet and still nothing. It's a shame because they really did do a great job other than that little bit of damage. We have to move storage units and I would have loved to hire them for that, but I just cannot due to this very frustrating situation and poor customer service.

I had 3 movers and a truck move me out of my high rise Apartment and then put part of my stuff in storage and the rest in the new house. _x000D_|_x000D_|The crew was great, friendly and professional and I would certainly use them again.

It went extremelly well. 2 guys did it all and never took a break. From one house to another about 10-15min away. They padded furniture well and secured each peice in the truck with large belts. Placed each item where we asked and reassembled the bed and couches Very efficient, curteous and proffesional. I would use them again in heartbeat. This was an angie list special.

Movers arrived at appointed time. They parked in front of the house which has a very long walk to the door. I mentioned they would be better off parking behind my house as the distance would be shorter, but they said out front was okay. I believe this added to the time it took to get stuff out of the house and they seemed surprised that my washer and dryer were included when I told them the set was to be moved. After these were loaded they said that was about all the truck would hold, leaving several items in the garage as well as a cabinet and bookcase in the house. After truck was unloaded I placed a call to the company and mentioned the items left behind as it would be difficult for me to move on my own. The gentleman was very considerate and arranged to have the remaining items picked up a couple of days later. The second set of movers were more efficient and had the items loaded and delivered quickly. Despite the experience with the first 2 movers, my belonging arrived in sound condition. I found the company to be accommodating and would use them again.

I work for a local church. One of our members received an eviction notice and needed to move quickly. Mitchell movers was the only firm that responded to my request. We made an agreement for about six hours of labor. When the movers got to the home, it was clear that the person had not cleared enough of the belongings for them to get to all of the furniture. They moved what they could and, instead of staying to help, they went back to the office. This meant that they preserved time on our agreement so that they could go out the next day and get the rest of the items. They were tactful, respectful and helpful. They went above and beyond for this person while respecting the church budget.

These guys were superfast and had the entire move finished in less than 2 1/2 hours. Ultra professional, punctual, and hard workers--they'll handle my next move too, for sure.

They were very personable, caring, nothing was broken and very friendly and they were well priced.

I can't say enough how impressed we were with the guys from John Mitchell's Two Guys & Truck. First, they actually sent someone in person to look at our belongings and estimate the moving cost. I knew they were the company for us when the estimator mentioned he had driven by our new home to check to see if there would be any difficulty getting the trucks unloaded. No other company took that extra step. Also, the quote I received was guaranteed to not go over the amount given. In fact, the final cost was less than the quote because the movers worked so quickly & efficiently. The name is misleading -- John sends 5 guys and 2 Trucks for a general move. They arrived on time, were friendly, polite and efficient. When they arrived at our new home, they did a great job moving large items up a tricky stairwell with no damage to the furniture or walls. My only regret with our moving day was not making sure I was in the garage when the items from our old attic were unloaded. If I had been (instead of my husband), I would have made sure to make the most of having John's guys there & move many of those items from the garage to the basement storage room. But that's not their fault. ;-) While I hope to not move again anytime soon, I would not hesitate in hiring John Mitchell's Two Guys & A Truck again.

They were excellent. They were very friendly. I had 3 men come and their price was good, I don't recall the exact price though. They moved a piano out of the house where the furniture was being moved as well.

Excellent service from the VERY reasonable in-home estimate to the actual move date. I loved the fact that the estimate was the maximum we would have to pay, but we were able to save a couple hundred dollars by having some of the work done ourselves before they arrived. Movers were very careful with our belongings and I am unaware of any damage at all. Tim went above and beyond and changed out our dryer cord with an extra he had on his truck as we didn't have the correct plus for our new home. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

The "3 Guys" arrived on time and quickly surveyed the contents. The load went smoothly and quickly. The move of the items into the new home was not at the same pace, but completed with care for all items - no scratches, dents, or damages incurred. Guys were friendly, professional, and acted like they enjoyed their work. Hoping not to move again for many years, but if we do, I'll definitely call John Mitchell at Two Guys and a Truck.

The movers were polite, careful, and moved quickly. They also made sure items were properly protected in the truck and also while loading the items into a storage unit. They loaded two trucks and took some items to an apartment and the other items to a storage unit. They were also very methodical to make sure all items fit in the two trucks to avoid extra trips. The storage unit was also a tight fit and they made sure all items fit in the unit. They split up the trucks to save us time, while 2 men went to the apartment and 3 stayed to finish unloading to the storage unit. They quoted 9 hours, but it only took 4 1/2 hours. John Mitchell/Two Guys & A Truck were great! We will be using them again when moving into our new home.

This was A+ service and these movers were fantastic. Everything went smoothly and professionally. Very accommodating in placement of furniture in the new house. Everything was great and the men were great and enjoyable to have around!

Excellent job and excellent service! The job came under the estimate. Three guys showed up at 0830 and loaded the truck. We then went to our residence to pick up some additional pieces of furniture and then went to the new office. They had everything moved in 4 hours. They worked hard, worked fast and were very nice. We were completely satisfied and amazed how efficient they were. They were even willing to move any furniture again if we changed our mind where we wanted it. We paid the bill and tipped all 3 of them. They never asked for a tip and it was never implied. We were just so thankful for what they did and needed to show appreciation. Based on our experience, we highly recommend them!

These guys were great. They were efficient, polite, cooperative, moved things that I wanted to change, and the cost was less than the bid!
